Oracle
[wiki] rating: 2.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 10%)Omniknight
[wiki] rating: 2.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 1%)Ogre Magi
* Heavenly Grace reduces Fireblast stun time and dispels Ignite.
* Purification can heal damaged hero if needed.
Juggernaut
* Guardian Angel completely negates all physical damage, including
Omnislash.
Additional:
* Omnislash is blocked by Guardian Angel.
Ember Spirit
* The pure damage provided by Purification is a great addition for killing Ember Spirit, as well as a good way of saving teammates.
* Guardian Angel will temporarily save his allies from Sleight of Fist's physical damage, and Ember Spirit is not a hero that will get
Orchid Malevolence to counter it.
Shadow Shaman
* Omniknight can dispel Hex or Shackles with
Heavenly Grace. He can also heal teammates which you disabled. The same goes to
Abaddon's
Aphotic Shield .
Brewmaster
* Dispel Magic from {U:Storm} instantly removes Guardian Angel from Omniknight's allies in its radius of effect.
Drow Ranger
[wiki] rating: 2.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 4%)Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit greatly relies on his spells to engage in battle. Drow Ranger can simply silence him with Gust and make him useless for a few seconds, which Ember Spirit cannot afford during a teamfight.
Shadow Shaman
* With 4 active abilities, Shadow Shaman is weak against silencing foes such as silencer,
Drow Ranger and
Death Prophet.
Juggernaut
* Drow Ranger can use Gust to push back Juggernaut before he can get in range to use Omnislash or
Blade Fury.
Outworld Destroyer
[wiki] rating: 2.4 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 13%)Brewmaster
* Outworld Destroyer's pure damage will mop up Primal Split's units very quickly.
Juggernaut
* Astral Imprisonment allows Outworld Destroyer to save himself or his teamates during
Omnislash.
* Juggernaut's low mana from his low intelligence gain means that he'll take a lot of damage from Sanity's Eclipse.
Ember Spirit
* The pure damage provided by Arcane Orb is a great addition for killing Ember Spirit.
* Astral Imprisonment fully negates all magic damage of Flame Guard and Searing Chains and will temporarily save himself from Sleight of Fist's physical damage, and Ember Spirit is not a hero that can counter these skills.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with built-in spell immunity can become immune to all of Outworld Devourer's spells: Lifestealer's
Rage and
Juggernaut's
Blade Fury.
Anti-Mage
[wiki] rating: 2.2 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 13%)Shadow Shaman
* As a caster, Anti-Mage's
Mana Break and
Mana Void are highly effective against him.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Ogre Magi
* Ogre Magi only deals magical damage, which Anti-Mage is exceptionally resistant due to Counterspell.
* Anti-Mage dispels Ignite with
Manta Style.
* Ogre Magi has a very large mana pool which means Anti-Mage can do large amounts of damage to him with Mana Break and Mana Void.
Brewmaster
* Blinking heroes like Anti-Mage or
Queen of Pain can often chase down an injured Brewmaster after his ultimate expires.
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes with abilities or items that can silence or disable Anti-Mage for long periods of time will prevent him from Blinking away: Silencer,
Shadow Shaman,
Grimstroke,
Clinkz,
Riki,
Faceless Void,
Skywrath Mage,
Puck
Slark
[wiki] rating: 2.2 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 13%)Ogre Magi
* Dark Pact dispels Ignite's slow and Fireblast's stun.
* Shadow Dance allows Slark to regenerate HP, even when he is affected by Ignite and Fireblast.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Shadow Shaman
* Nyx Assassin,
Bounty Hunter and
Slark can all sneak up and kill you, Nyx being particularly deadly. Watch Slark carefully, as he can break either (but not both unless you are making a mistake) of your disables, with
Dark Pact and leap out of a serpent ward ring. These heroes, however, rely heavily on escape and are themselves not very durable and none of them can survive a full lockdown with Mass Serpent Ward. Having Sentry Wards can turn you from prey to predator.
Bane
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 3%)Brewmaster
* After Brewmaster has committed Thunder Clap and Cinder Brew to gank, Bane can use Nightmare on Brewmaster to wait out the debuffs, and might even turn the tables by buying time for allied reinforcements.
* Bane can also prevent Brewmaster from using Primal Split with his long disables.
Juggernaut
* Fiend's Grip and an
Aghanim's Scepter upgraded
Brain Sap pierces spell immunity, rendering Blade Fury nearly useless.
Lion
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 17%)Brewmaster
* Hex's instant cast time will force Brewmaster into the awkward situation of needing some form of spell immunity or block to prevent being immediately hex upon blinking in, or wait until Lion has used all his crowd control before entering a fight. His direct magic burst also makes Brewmaster's Drunken Brawler worthless versus Lion.
Ember Spirit
* Lion possesses two strong disables in Earth Spike and
Hex and heavy magic burst with
Finger of Death which help lock him down and prevent him from escaping with Activate Fire Remnant. When getting his
Blink Dagger Lion can punish Ember Spirit's overextension immediately, or initiate a fight on him with disables.
Additional:
* Ember lacks any protection against Lion's disables early in the game and often does not acquire any later, allowing Lion to Hex or Earth Spike him before he escapes through his Fire Remnant.
* Although Flame Guard can prevent magic damage, it does not stop Lion's disables, and Lion can usually break through it with Finger of Death.
Death Prophet
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 10%)Shadow Shaman
* With 4 active abilities, Shadow Shaman is weak against silencing foes such as silencer,
Drow Ranger and
Death Prophet.
Brewmaster
* Exorcism kills Primal Split's units very quickly.
Silencer
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 5%)Ember Spirit
* Global Silence and
Last Word can prevent Ember Spirit from casting Activate Fire Remnant to escape.
* Glaives of Wisdom also provide high pure damage that is not negated by Flame Guard.
* Arcane Curse is also a potent harassing tool in the laning stage as its cooldown is lower than Flame Guard's.
Shadow Shaman
* With 4 active abilities, Shadow Shaman is weak against silencing foes such as silencer,
Drow Ranger and
Death Prophet.
Riki
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 5%)Shadow Shaman
* Riki is known for being a successful support killer, and not just for show. He can give you one hell of a time by constantly picking you off and/or forcing you to stick close to the rest of the team.
* Smoke Screen is particularly devastating to Shadow Shaman. With neither his various disables nor a solid health pool Shadow Shaman is usually dead. Consider a force staff if you find yourself in this scenario (to force yourself out of the cloud before shackling Riki) and buy sentry wards if you have the money.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Dragon Knight
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 4%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with high armor and/or durability can handle Juggernaut's ultimate, such as Sven and
Dragon Knight.
Shadow Shaman
* Dragon Knight can simply tank and destroy all Shadow Shaman's Serpent Wards.
Axe
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 8%)Shadow Shaman
* Pudge,
Legion Commander and
Axe will make the match a living hell for you, since they are known for surprise attacks from the fog and quickly killing low HP heroes. They can also interrupt your channeling, Legion being especially problematic, as she can use
Press the Attack on an ally who is hexed as well.
Juggernaut
* Berserker's Call pierces spell immunity, making a Blade Fury teleport escape impossible. It's very useful against
Omnislash as well.
* Juggernaut's low base health and high attack speed causes him to take a lot of damage from the pure damage of Counter Helix.
* Axe is a common Blade Mail and
Blink Dagger carrier making him a very big potential threat before Juggernaut get his items.
Legion Commander
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 11%)Shadow Shaman
* Pudge,
Legion Commander and
Axe will make the match a living hell for you, since they are known for surprise attacks from the fog and quickly killing low HP heroes. They can also interrupt your channeling, Legion being especially problematic, as she can use
Press the Attack on an ally who is hexed as well.
Juggernaut
* Duel pierces spell immunity and forces him to attack Legion Commander, making him unable to use
Omnislash.
Ogre Magi
* Heroes rely on their debuff to control the opponent will have a hard time against Press the Attack: Venomancer,
Earth Spirit,
Ogre Magi
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes with long or multiple disables will prevent Legion Commander from winning Duels: Shadow Shaman,
Lion
Doom
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 2%)Ember Spirit
* The general opinion that Doom can counter Ember Spirit with his
Doom is a misconception, as
Doom has a long cast animation, so an attentive Ember Spirit can easily dodge it if he has a Fire Remnant nearby. Doom is still an extremely effective early ganker however, as his
Scorched Earth and
Infernal Blade damage can quickly overwhelm Flame Guard's magic damage absorption, leaving Ember Spirit with no protection against them. Additional skills that Doom can get from Neutral creeps can also help bully Ember Spirit early.
Shadow Blade or
Blink Dagger on Doom can also help, providing a good way to apply
Doom on Ember Spirit.
Additional:
* Ember Spirit cannot use his Activate Fire Remnant to escape while under effect from
Doom.
Ogre Magi
* Doom makes Ogre Magi less disruptive.
* Infernal Blade effectively negates Ogre Magi's tankiness.
* With Aghanim's Scepter he can disable Multicast.
Arc Warden
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 4%)Ogre Magi
* Arc Warden's
Tempest Double is helpful for killing Ogre Magi who lacks AoE damage and disables.
Shadow Shaman
* Arc Warden with his Magnetic Field will protect allies from Mass Serpent Ward.
Puck
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 17%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Ogre Magi
* Puck silences Ogre Magi with
Waning Rift, and
Phase Shift makes Puck untargetable for the duration.
Ember Spirit
* Any Hero with high mobility will be neutralized by dream coil: Queen of Pain,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Lycan,
Bloodseeker,
Anti-Mage,
Timbersaw
Juggernaut
* Heroes with spell immunity or pseudo-blinks which provide invulnerability: Lifestealer,
Juggernaut,
Omniknight,
Huskar , and
Tusk have spells which allow them to easily escape Dream Coil.
Winter Wyvern
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 7%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with abilities that can save teammates are also effective such as Shadow Demon,
Dazzle,
Oracle,
Bane,
Pugna,
Tusk,
Winter Wyvern,
Io,
Underlord,
Treant Protector and
Keeper of the Light.
Ogre Magi
* Winter Wyvern's
Winter's Curse works very well against the increased attack speed from Bloodlust.
Queen of Pain
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Brewmaster
* Blinking heroes like Anti-Mage or
Queen of Pain can often chase down an injured Brewmaster after his ultimate expires.
Ember Spirit
* Queen of Pain can be a good hero for dealing with Ember Spirit with
Orchid Malevolence, her pure damage nuke in
Sonic Wave and a slow in
Shadow Strike. However, Queen of Pain can be punished by Ember Spirit, as his Searing Chains prevents her from getting
Blink off.
Shadow Shaman
* In general, squishy heroes that rely on escape often struggles against the amount of disables Shadow Shaman can bring. Queen of Pain,
Anti-Mage and
Storm Spirit are among these.
Additional:
* Shadow Shaman has many disables to lock down Queen of Pain, preventing her from Blinking away, even through Linken's Sphere or her spell block talent.
* Mass Serpent Ward can tear through Queen of Pain's low health pool once she's locked down by
Hex &
Shackles.
Meepo
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 1%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's Omnislash is meaningless for Meepo who can share the damage across clones to save other allies.
Ember Spirit
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal: Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
Ogre Magi
* Ogre Magi has single-targeted magical-only damage and disables and is less effective against Meepo's clones.
Ember Spirit
* Meepo is quite fragile in the early game and can be easily taken down by Flame Guard's and Searing Chains' damage. Later on, Meepo is very vulnerable to Sleight of Fist's damage due to Battle Fury's cleave on multiple Meepos.
Additional:
* Sleight of Fist boosted by
Battle Fury and
Daedalus makes quick work of Meepo if clones are crowded around each other.
* Searing Chains interrupts Meepo's initiating because Meepo's clones do not have spell immunity.
Visage
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 1%)Shadow Shaman
* Due to their high attack speed, Summon Familiars will destroy Mass Serpent Ward quickly, granting Visage a massive amount of gold.
Additional:
* Due to their high attack speed, Visage's Summon Familiars will destroy Mass Serpent Ward quickly, granting Visage massive amount of gold.
Pugna
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 4%)Juggernaut
* Decrepify prevents
Omnislash damage, until Juggernaut gets a
Nullifier.
* Without a disable, Pugna's high movement speed makes it harder to chase him with Blade Fury.
* Juggernaut has low mana and his skills cost large amount of mana. Nether Ward will hurt him more and even worse, the damage from the ward is inflicted before the spell immunity provided by
Blade Fury.
Additional:
* Decrepify is the perfect tool against Omnislash until he gets a
Nullifier, and even then he will probably waste a couple of slashes before he uses it.
* Without an extra disable, Pugna's high movement speed makes it impossible to chase him with Blade Fury.
* Unlike some other carries like Slark or
Phantom Assassin, Juggernaut's spells cost a hefty amount of mana and he will seriously get hurt by Nether Ward. Don't forget the damage from the ward is inflicted before the spell immunity is provided by
Blade Fury.
Chen
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 0%)Shadow Shaman
* Shadow Shaman has no effective burst damage, thus Chen has a lot of time to save an ally with his creeps or Hand of God from a gank.
* Chen can use {U:Centaur Conqueror} or {U:Mud Golem} to interrupt Shadow shaman's Shackles channeling
* Mass Serpent Ward can be easily teared down by Chen's creep army
Mirana
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 16%)Shadow Shaman
* Mirana can disturb your channeling even if you are under the effect of invisibility thanks to Sacred Arrow.
* Mirana armed with an Aghanim's Scepter is known to be able to quickly burst down heroes - especially supports. Together with
Ethereal Blade the bullying can continue for the whole match.
Undying
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 4%)Ogre Magi
* Undying saps strength from heroes with Decay, and Ogre Magi's high strength gain will allow Undying to steal more and more strength, becoming stronger with each use.
* Due to the Strength steal from Decay, Undying is normally very tanky, and has high health, making it harder for Ogre Magi to kill him.
Lifestealer
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 5%)Ogre Magi
* Ogre Magi has nothing against Rage and his high health pool amplifies
Feast.
Additional:
* Lifestealer's Rage makes him immune to all of Ogre's magical debuffs and also dispels them.
* Ogre's as hero with great durability and high health is great target for Lifestealer in any stage of the game, thanks to Feast.
Pudge
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 19%)Shadow Shaman
* Pudge,
Legion Commander and
Axe will make the match a living hell for you, since they are known for surprise attacks from the fog and quickly killing low HP heroes. They can also interrupt your channeling, Legion being especially problematic, as she can use
Press the Attack on an ally who is hexed as well.
Juggernaut
* Meat Hook can hit and displace Juggernaut during his
Blade Fury.
* Dismember pierces Juggernaut's spell immunity from
Blade Fury.
Ember Spirit
* Heroes with a high degree of mobility and invisibility are hard to catch with Meat Hook: Ember Spirit,
Riki,
Clinkz,
Queen of Pain.
Morphling
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 12%)Shadow Shaman
* Waveform allows Morphling to escape from Mass Serpent Ward
* Morphling can interrupt Shadow Shaman while he is shackling an ally with Adaptive Strike (Strength).
* With Ethereal Blade Morphling can quickly burst him down before he even has a chance to react.
Sven
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 43% pickrate: 1%)Juggernaut
* {Ability ID:Warcry|Sven} allows Sven to tank the damage from {Ability ID:Omnislash|Juggernaut} due to its high armor.
* However {Ability ID:Blade fury|Juggernaut} provides spell immunity which blocks the stun from {Ability ID:Storm hammer|Sven}.
Abaddon
[wiki] rating: 0.8 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 5%)Juggernaut
* In general, heroes that deal burst in multiple instances will trigger Borrowed Time and heal Abaddon for a large amount, such as Skywrath Mage,
Techies,
Juggernaut,
Shadow Shaman, or
Ogre Magi.
Ogre Magi
* In general, heroes that deal burst in multiple instances will trigger Borrowed Time and heal Abaddon for a large amount, such as Skywrath Mage,
Techies,
Juggernaut,
Shadow Shaman, or
Ogre Magi.
Shadow Shaman
* Omniknight can dispel Hex or Shackles with
Heavenly Grace. He can also heal teammates which you disabled. The same goes to
Abaddon's
Aphotic Shield .
Brewmaster
* Dispel Magic can remove Abaddon's Aphotic Shield or
Curse of Avernus on an allied hero.
* Cyclone's lengthy duration wastes much of Borrowed Time's duration.
Additional:
* {U:Storm} can use Cyclone on Abaddon when he activates Borrowed Time, wasting its duration.
* Drunken Brawler and
Thunder Clap hinder Abaddon from applying Curse of Avernus' silence on him.
Beastmaster
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 6%)Ember Spirit
* Heroes who rely on high mobility are especially vulnerable to Primal Roar: Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Queen of Pain.
Chaos Knight
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 3%)Shadow Shaman
* Single-target disablers will have difficulty locking down a Chaos Knight with Phantasm active: Bane,
Beastmaster,
Bloodseeker,
Clockwerk,
Doom,
Shadow Shaman.
Ogre Magi
* Phantasm dispels Ignite and makes targeting the real Chaos Knight much harder.
Juggernaut
* While Blade Fury is on cooldown, Juggernaut can easily killed by a standard Chaos Bolt &
Reality Rift combo.
* Phantasm illusions can tank
Omnislash.
Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit is evasive and can dodge close encounters with melee heroes like Chaos Knight. Ember Spirit can't be caught with the slow from Reality Rift, and Flame Guard and Sleight of Fist can bring
Phantasm's illusions down quickly.
Brewmaster
* Storm's Dispel Magic combined with Thunder Clap deals high damage against Chaos Knight's illusions even in the late game.
* Chaos Knight's reliance on physical damage is easily hindered by Drunken Brawler.
* Chaos Knight's lack of area effect and mobility makes him easily overwhelmed by Primal Split.
Additional:
* Dispel Magic from {U:Storm} can instantly kill the Phantasm army early on, and can still deal a lot of damage to them late game, revealing the real Chaos Knight.
Phantom Lancer
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 10%)Ogre Magi
* Ogre Magi has no AoE damage or disables and has nothing to deal with Phantom Lancer's illusions.
* Doppelganger disjoints and dispels Ignite.
Juggernaut
* Illusion-based heroes are effective against Omnislash and Juggernaut's single-targeted damage: Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade,
Phantom Lancer.
Ember Spirit
* Sleight of Fist, allows Ember Spirit to destroy all of Phantom Lancer's illusions.
* Flame Guard also deals significant damage to illusions, and protects against Spirit Lance.
* Phantom Rush is unable to catch Ember Spirit when he teleports to his Fire Remnants.
Additional:
* Sleight of Fist is the natural counter to Phantom Lancer's army of illusions, especially when combined with Battle Fury.
Tusk

* Heroes with strong team-fight abilities (especially ultimates) like Tidehunter,
Brewmaster,
Death Prophet, etc.
Vengeful Spirit
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* With the exception of Magic Missile (unless the player takes the Level 25 Talent "Magic Missile Pierces Spell Immunity"), all of Vengeful Spirit's spells ignore Spell Immunity. This also makes her good against heroes with built-in Spell Immunity like Lifestealer or
Juggernaut or heroes that tend to pick up
Black King Bar, like
Sven.
Enigma
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 8%)Juggernaut
* Enigma's Eidolons can absorb Omnislash damage, wasting it's damage potential.
* Black Hole and
Midnight Pulse damage pierces
Blade Fury, especially when he tries to escape with it.
Additional:
* Enigma's Eidolons can help soak Juggernaut's Omnislash in the early game, mitigating the damage and wasting it on disposable summons. Should Juggernaut choose to kill your Eidelons with Blade Fury, he leaves himself open to your disables.
* Enigma's Black Hole and Midnight Pulse damage can pierce through Juggernaut's Blade Fury.
Brewmaster
* Heroes who produce many summons will have a hard time against Storm's Dispel Magic during teamfight: Broodmother,
Enigma,
Nature's Prophet.
Clinkz
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 4%)Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit's Flame Guard provides no protection against Clinkz's physical damage output.
* Ember Spirit's low armor and health make him easy to kill quickly if a teammate can hold him down.
* If Clinkz has farmed an item that can disable, he can sneak up to and hunt down Ember Spirit while he farms or split pushes alone.
Brewmaster
* In general, Brewmaster's Cinder Brew and Thunder Clap makes him good against physical damage carries: Ursa,
Clinkz,
Faceless Void,
Troll Warlord,
Templar Assassin,
Phantom Assassin.
Troll Warlord
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 12%)Juggernaut
* Troll Warlord's ability to attack as a ranged hero allows him to destroy Juggernaut's Healing Ward from afar.
* Battle Trance, when activated during Omnislash, allows Troll Warlord to survive the full duration of Omnislash and retaliate once it is over.
Brewmaster
* In general, Brewmaster's Cinder Brew and Thunder Clap makes him good against physical damage carries: Ursa,
Clinkz,
Faceless Void,
Troll Warlord,
Templar Assassin,
Phantom Assassin.
Skywrath Mage
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 6%)Brewmaster
* Ancient Seal's instant cast time will often silence Brewmaster before he can do anything.
* Brewmaster also has no defense against Skywrath Mage's massive magical damage.
Juggernaut
* Skywrath's pitiful defences also make him easy meat to heroes with high physical burst like Juggernaut or
Phantom Assassin, the latter occasionally downing a support Skywrath in a single
Stifling Dagger.
Viper
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 6%)Ogre Magi
* Nethertoxin breaks Multicast.
* Corrosive Skin minimizes the damage during Ignite and Fireblast.
Shadow Shaman
* Viper cannot interrupt heroes with powerful channeling abilities: Bane,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman,
Warlock
Shadow Fiend
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 18%)Ember Spirit
* Shadowraze can easily remove the protection from Flame Guard and kill Ember Spirit due to his low health.
* Ember Spirit is very vulnerable to physical damage from Necromastery.
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes with channeling spells because Shadow Fiend has nothing to cancel channeling: Bane,
Enigma,
Pudge,
Shadow Shaman.
Faceless Void
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 41% pickrate: 3%)Ember Spirit
* Faceless Void is one of the best heroes against Ember Spirit, providing a lot of ways of dealing with him. Ember Spirit becomes a lot weaker if affected by Time Dilation, as he can no longer spam Sleight of Fist.
* Chronosphere is also a reliable lockdown for Ember Spirit, although it can be evaded sometimes by Activate Fire Remnant. Additionally, Void can easily negate Sleight of Fist damage with
Time Walk.
* And finally, Void is a great Diffusal Blade carrier. Not only
Manabreak's physical damage not negated by Flame Guard, but it also burns Ember Spirit's mana. That, in turn, prevents him from escaping if he survived
Chronosphere.
Brewmaster
* In general, Brewmaster's Cinder Brew and Thunder Clap makes him good against physical damage carries: Ursa,
Clinkz,
Faceless Void,
Troll Warlord,
Templar Assassin,
Phantom Assassin.
Additional:
* Thunder Clap and
Drunken Brawler prevent Faceless Void from maximizing his damage potential in fights.
* Cyclone disables Faceless Void during Chronosphere.
Templar Assassin
[wiki] rating: -4.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Ogre Magi
* The damage block instances of Refraction can be burned down with Ignite.
Shadow Shaman
* Shackles and Mass Serpent Ward instantly destroy Refraction
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury's damage over time dispels
Refraction almost instantly.
* Juggernaut's high armor allows him to survive for long enough to remove Refraction and threaten her with
Omnislash as long as he or his team carries detection.
* Templar Assassin's short attack range makes it difficult for her to target a well-placed Healing Ward. She cannot splash onto it with
Psi Blades.
Brewmaster
* The three Primal Split brewlings all attacking Templar Assassin at once will remove her Refraction quickly, especially with Fire's Permanent Immolation.
* Templar Assassin has no way to stop Brewmaster from using Primal Split by herself, and may get unlucky and miss her Meld if trying to burst him during her ally's disable.
Nature's Prophet
[wiki] rating: -3.6 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 5%)Shadow Shaman
* Mass Serpent Ward can kill lots of treants if played defensively.
* Mass Serpent Ward, Hex and Shackles can catch and kill a Nature's Prophet trying to use Teleportation.
Additional:
* Shadow Shaman's Mass Serpent Ward together with
Ether Shock can easily kill lots of Treant if played defensively.
* Mass Serpent Ward,
Hex and
Shackles can disrupt Nature's Prophet's escape attempt with Teleportation, though he can Sprout himself.
* Nature's Prophet also has no way to cancel Shackles.
Brewmaster
* Heroes who produce many summons will have a hard time against Storm's Dispel Magic during teamfight: Broodmother,
Enigma,
Nature's Prophet.
Ogre Magi
* Nature's Prophet treants can easily cleared by damage-over-time Ignite or Multicast Hand of Midas earning lots of gold.
* Fireblast and Unrefined Fireblast prevents or cancels out Nature Prophet from escaping with Teleportation.
Ember Spirit
* Sleight of Fist with
Battle Fury deals a lot of damage to Nature's Prophet's team if they stand close to his Treants, as well as killing all of his Treants and getting lots of gold.
* Ember Spirit with Fire Remnant and
Boots of Travel can teleport and defend tower whenever Nature's Prophet tries to push.
Additional:
* Ember Spirit can easily deal with Nature's Call by using his Flame Guard and with
Battle Fury. He also has multiple ways of escaping
Sprout. Additionally, Ember Spirit can break
Sprout's trees with Activate Fire Remnant and interrupt
Teleportation with Searing Chains.
Disruptor
[wiki] rating: -2.2 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury allows Juggernaut to simply move out of Kinetic Field and to dodge Glimpse.
* Healing Ward can keep heroes trapped in the Static Storm alive.
* Omnislash can be used to dodge Glimpse.

Ancient Apparition
[wiki] rating: -2.2 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 10%)Brewmaster
* Primal Split makes Brewmaster invulnerable for the duration, rendering effects of Cold Feet and Ice Blast useless.
* Dispel Magic can dispel Cold Feet from allies.
* Brewmaster can easily run Ancient Apparition down with the slow from Thunder Clap and
Cinder Brew.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with mobility/escape mechanisms to dodge Ancient Apparition abilites, or to easily jump on him: Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Phantom Assassin,
Windranger,
Bounty Hunter,
Spirit Breaker,
Night Stalker,
Storm Spirit,
Juggernaut, etc.
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes with silence and mana drain abilites, as Ancient Apparition relies entirely on his abilities: Invoker,
Silencer,
Nyx Assassin,
Skywrath Mage,
Shadow Shaman,
Lion and etc.
Terrorblade
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 4%)Juggernaut
* Illusion-based heroes are effective against Omnislash and Juggernaut's single-targeted damage: Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade,
Phantom Lancer.
Shadow Shaman
* All of Shadow Shaman's abilities totally ruin Terrorblade: Ether Shock destroys his illusions, Hex prevents him from using Sunder or
Manta Style in bad situations, Shackles not only that prevent him from using
Sunder, but he has no way to cancel it and Mass Serpent Ward can help Shadow Shaman push faster than Terrorblade even in
Metamorphosis.
Additional:
* Ether Shock can destroy Terrorblade's illusions.
* Hex prevents Terrorblade from using Sunder or
Manta Style in bad situations.
Hex can also destroy one of his illusions.
* Shackles prevents Terrorblade from using his skills and items, whether to fight, survive, or dispel it in any way. In addition, Terrorblade has no solutions to cancel it.
Juggernaut
* Heroes, whose core item builds includes Monkey King Bar:
Faceless Void,
Windranger,
Weaver,
Juggernaut.
Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit can deal devastating damage to illusion heroes like Terrorblade with Sleight of Fist. Terrorblade also has no way of preventing Ember Spirit from getting Activate Fire Remnant off. Additionally, Ember Spirit's ability to fight from long range as well as his wide skill set won't give many opportunities for Terrorblade to get Sunder off.
Additional:
* Ember Spirit can deal devastating damage to Terrorblade and his illusions with Sleight of Fist.
* Terrorblade has no disable to lock down Ember Spirit and prevent him from escaping with Fire Remnant. In addition, he doesn't like purchasing disabling items, which are the only solutions to deal with Ember Spirit.
Timbersaw
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 8%)Ember Spirit
* Searing Chains prevents usage of Timber Chain.
* Timbersaw is vulnerable to magical burst damage, which Ember Spirit provides with Fire Remnant and
Flame Guard.
* Timbersaw's abilities deal pure damage, thus they cannot remove Flame Guard.
Shadow Shaman
* Hex greatly reduces Timbersaw's mobility.
* The stun and damage over time from Shackles mitigates Reactive Armor's HP and armor regen.
Elder Titan
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 1%)Brewmaster
* {U:Earth} has passive Spell Immunity, allowing him to walk into the Echo Stomp radius to stun Elder Titan with his
Hurl Boulder.
* {U:Storm}'s Cyclone can cancel the channeling of Echo Stomp and take Elder Titan out of the fight for {show:A|Storm|Cyclone|value2} seconds.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune to Elder Titan's stun, so there is a high chance he wont get caught in your ultimate although Earth Splitter pierces spell immunity.
Spirit Breaker
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 8%)Shadow Shaman
* Heroes that are squishy by nature are an easy target for Spirit Breaker: Sniper,
Drow Ranger,
Shadow Shaman
Ember Spirit
* Searing Chains can stop Charge of Darkness if timed correctly.
* Activate Fire Remnant can be used to escape an approaching Spirit Breaker, or lead Spirit Breaker into a bad situation.
* Activate Fire Remnant and
Sleight of Fist allows Ember Spirit to dodge Charge of Darkness if timed correctly.
Ogre Magi
* Heroes that can cancel Charge of Darkness: Ogre Magi,
Earthshaker.
Shadow Shaman
* Can easily interrupt and disable Spirit Breaker with hex if being charged.
Clockwerk
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 7%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut is invulnerable while using Omnislash, meaning that neither
Blade Mail or Power Cogs will save Clockwerk, this is especially common during the early laning phase.
* Blade Fury will also ignore any damage dealt by Battery Assault, as well as dealing heavy damage. As long as Juggernaut has mana to cast it, any engagement with Power Cogs will hurt Clockwerk a lot more than Juggernaut.
Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit's Fire Remnant is an easy way to escape from Clockwerk's Power Cogs.
* Flame Guard blocks most of the magical damage Clockwerk does.
Dark Willow
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 7%)Juggernaut
* None of Dark Willow's spells pierce Spell Immunity, making Blade Fury a good counter against her. Additionally, it dispels
Cursed Crown and
Bramble Maze.
* Dark Willow is generally fragile, which results in Omnislash being devastating against her.
* However, if Shadow Realm is activated during
Omnislash, then the attack damage is negated (though
Omnislash can still jump to other enemies).
Additional:
* Blade Fury dispels most of Dark Willow's abilities, allowing Juggernaut to pass through Bramble Maze and cancel out Cursed Crown before the stun occurs.
Ember Spirit
* Flame Guard blocks Dark Willow's magical burst damage, and harms her if she tries to get close to attack with Bedlam.
* Sleight of Fist and
Fire Remnant makes it hard for Dark Willow to fully disable Ember Spirit.
Huskar
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 3%)Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit does minimal damage to Huskar until the very late game.
Shadow Shaman
* Mass Serpent Ward rips apart Huskar quickly due to his poor armor.
* As soon as Huskar jumps in, he will be vulnerable to Shadow Shaman's disables if he does not have Black King Bar.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune to the damage from Life Break and Burning Spears.
* It can be instantly activated the second Juggernaut sees Huskar flying towards him with Life Break, blocking all damage.
* Healing Ward effectively negates any damage-over-time from Burning Spears.
* Huskar has no defense against Omnislash and takes heavy damage due to his low armor.
Brewmaster
* Brewmaster can use Cyclone to disable Huskar's healer for much longer than most other heroes can, to make Huskar vulnerable.
* Huskar has no way to stop Brewmaster from using Primal Split by himself, but can cut a good amount of his high health away if Huskar's team wants to burst Brewmaster down during a different disable.
Crystal Maiden
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 14%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut and
Lifestealer have abilities (
Blade Fury and
Rage respectively) that prevent Crystal Maiden from using her spells on them in the early game, before
Black King Bar and other magical reduction is even an issue.
Ember Spirit
* Crystal Maiden is extremely fragile and she's an easy target for him. She has no real disables that can lock Ember Spirit down, and all of her skill damage can be negated with Flame Guard. The damage from Searing Chains, Flame Guard, and Sleigh of Fist can easily take her down.
Void Spirit
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 13%)Ogre Magi
* Side lanes with disables will greatly reduce the likeliness Void Spirit will be willing to rotate: Sven,
Tiny,
Wraith King,
Ogre Magi.
Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit has much higher mobility in Fire Remnant than Void Spirit.
* Ember's Flame Guard is effective against Void Spirit's spells, as most of them deal magical damage.
* The root from Searing Chains prevents Void Spirit from using Dissimilate or Astral Step.
Invoker
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 16%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's instant spell immunity from Blade Fury. helps him dodge Invoker's combos. He can dispel the disables from
Cold Snap and
Deafening Blast and dodge the damage from
Chaos Meteor, as well as walk through
Ice Wall.
* Juggernaut's high DPS allows him to kill split pushing Forge Spirit(s) effortlessly, and his high armor prevents them from being a threat to him.
* However, Invoker can hit Juggernaut with Sun Strike through
Blade Fury, making the
Tornado and
Sun Strike combo a threat if he does not dodge
Tornado.
Additional:
* Blade Fury, similar to Rage, grants immunity to Invoker's spells and can dispel some debuffs as well.
* Omnislash renders Juggernaut invulnerable to Invoker's spells and can easily take Invoker down.
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes with long lockdowns: Shadow Shaman,
Legion Commander.
Gyrocopter
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 5%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury and
Omnislash allows Juggernaut to avoid Gyrocopter's area attacks entirely.
Ember Spirit
* Heroes with high mobility will be able to avoid Gyrocopter's area attacks: Storm Spirit,
Morphling,
Ember Spirit
Luna
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 7%)Shadow Shaman
* A couple of nukers and disablers on the same lane can finish a squishy Luna efficiently despite a teammate's assistance: Sven +
Shadow Shaman.
Juggernaut
* Because of her low range, Luna cannot easily destroy Healing Ward.
* Both Blade Fury and
Omnislash are direct counters to Eclipse, offering Juggernaut spell immunity.
Lycan
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 3%)Brewmaster
* Brewmaster can waste a large portion of Lycan's ultimate by putting him in Cyclone.
* Lycan has no way to stop Brewmaster from using Primal Split by himself.
* Lycan's team often tries to push towers as a group, and Brewmaster excels at winning teamfights while trying to defend a tower.
Ember Spirit
* Heroes that heavily depend on illusions or summons, (Naga Siren,
Terrorblade,
Phantom Lancer,
Lycan,...) are vulnerable to Sleight of Fist and even more so if Ember Spirit has
Battle Fury.
Spectre
[wiki] rating: -1.4 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 3%)Shadow Shaman
* Spectre's entire ability set is designed to get to and destroy heroes that stay in the backlines, both carries (like the aforementioned Drow Ranger and
Sniper) and supports (like
Dazzle and
Shadow Shaman).
Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's Healing Ward can help save allied supports when Spectre attempts a
Haunt kill.
* Juggernaut has a stronger push potential than Spectre, enabling him to end the game early before Spectre can come online.
* Spectre is often paired with two supports that are often weak against Juggernaut.
* Juggernaut also tends to build a Manta Style, which can prevent
Desolate from taking effect.
* Juggernaut is invulnerable against Dispersion while using
Omnislash.
Shadow Shaman
* Hex can be used immediately to destroy Spectre's illusion when she
Haunts.
* Shadow Shaman can use Shackles to lock down Spectre for his team.
* Shadow Shaman's Mass Serpent Ward and
Ether Shock help him push lanes and end the game early before Spectre can come online and take over the late game.
Jakiro
[wiki] rating: -1.2 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Ember Spirit
* Heroes with good mobility to avoid Jakiro's abilities and with good chase to punish Jakiro from pushing a tower: Bloodseeker,
Ember Spirit,
Juggernaut,
Phantom Assassin,
Weaver.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with good mobility to avoid Jakiro's abilities and with good chase to punish Jakiro from pushing a tower: Bloodseeker,
Ember Spirit,
Juggernaut,
Phantom Assassin,
Weaver.
Snapfire
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 5%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune against all of Snapfire's spells and allows him to get closer.
* A well-timed Omnislash allows Juggernaut to dodge Snapfire's spells, and she has no way to deal with it.
Zeus
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 8%)Juggernaut
* None of Zeus's abilities can damage a Juggernaut in Blade Fury.
* Zeus's short attack range makes it difficult for him to target a well-placed Healing Ward. His frequent use of
Arc Lightning will have almost no effect on allies being healed by Juggernaut.
* Zeus has no way to defend himself, even if Juggernaut cannot use Blade Fury. He can be easily taken out if cornered, sometimes even without
Omnislash.
Additional:
* Blade Fury negates all magical damage from Zeus.
* Omnislash can easily take down Zeus. However, be aware that most players will get a
Eul's Scepter of Divinity or a
Ghost Scepter against Juggernaut.
Earthshaker
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 12%)Ogre Magi
* Damage-over-time Ignite can prevent Earthshaker from escaping with Blink Dagger.
* Fireblast and Unrefined Fireblast are the good setup while Earthshaker after blinking in (although Earthshaker is a primary target).
Phoenix
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's high attack speed lets him destroy a Supernova easily. He can even attack a Supernova during Blade Fury with his regular attacks.
* Blade Fury protects Juggernaut from all of Phoenix's spells (except
Supernova, which pierces spell immunity).
* Blade Fury can also dispel the attack speed slow from
Fire Spirits and the movement speed slow from
Icarus Dive.
* Phoenix's Icarus Dive will not protect it from
Omnislash unless it dives into creeps, and Phoenix's low armor makes for an easy kill.
Warlock
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 4%)Ember Spirit
* A pre-placed Fire Remnant allows Ember Spirit to escape
Upheaval.
* Flame Guard blocks
Shadow Word's damage.
* Sleight of Fist allows Ember Spirit to attack from range, ignoring
Upheaval, and
Searing Chains lets him interrupt it.
Monkey King
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 16%)Brewmaster
* Cinder Brew and
Drunken Brawler makes it hard for Monkey King to stack Jingu Mastery.
* Cyclone can remove Monkey king for 6 seconds if his allies lack dispels.
* Dispel Magic can dispel Jingu Mastery's bonuses.
Bloodseeker
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 4%)Ember Spirit
* Fire Remnant allows Ember Spirit to escape Bloodseeker while Ruptured.
Additional:
* Fire Remnant allows Ember Spirit to escape while Ruptured.
Weaver
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 13%)Brewmaster
* Brewmaster is slow and has low armor, making his laning stage very difficult against Geminate Attack.
* Apart from the slow moving Hurl Boulder, which can be disjointed, he has no control to catch Weaver.
Ogre Magi
* Fireblast with Multicast can prevent Weaver from escaping with Shukuchi.
* However, the slow from Ignite is generally useless against Shukuchi haste effect or dispelled by
Time Lapse.
Shadow Shaman
* Shadow Shaman's many disables can lock down Weaver. Even with Linken's Sphere, Weaver might not be able to escape should Shadow Shaman uses Shackles quickly enough following Hex.
* Mass Serpent Ward can make short work of Weaver once he is locked down.
Dark Seer
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Ember Spirit
* Flame Guard makes Dark Seer not deal any damage with his skills to Ember Spirit.
Alchemist
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 14%)Ember Spirit
* Ember's magic damage build is able to burst down Alchemist due to his low strength gain and Alchemist's normal item pick up.
Broodmother
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 2%)Shadow Shaman
* Support heroes with low mobility can be slowed further by Incapacitating Bite, and swarmed by Spiderlings for an easy kill: Shadow Shaman,
Visage,
Dazzle,
Rubick,
Lich.
Brewmaster
* Heroes who produce many summons will have a hard time against Storm's Dispel Magic during teamfight: Broodmother,
Enigma,
Nature's Prophet.
Ember Spirit
* Sleight of Fist keeps Ember Spirit invulnerable until he hits every unit in its area of effect allowing him to stall for large amounts of time against Broodmother and her large amounts of spiderlings, or potentially damaging them enough if equipped with an item to improve wave clearing such as
Battle Fury or
Maelstrom to prevent her pushes entirely.
* Flame Guard will damage any of Broodmother's spiders in an area, deterring her from attempting to kill him. It can also be used during Sleight of Fist to amplify damage done.
* Fire Remnant allows Ember Spirit an escape from Broodmother that is unaffected by her Incapacitating Bite.
Magnus
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 4%)Shadow Shaman
* Any hero who can counter-initiate in anticipation without getting caught in Reverse Polarity: Sven,
Omniknight,
Enigma,
Luna,
Naga Siren,
Mars,

Batrider,
Kunkka,
Tidehunter,
Wraith King,
Sand King.
Phantom Assassin
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 16%)Brewmaster
* In general, Brewmaster's Cinder Brew and Thunder Clap makes him good against physical damage carries: Ursa,
Clinkz,
Faceless Void,
Troll Warlord,
Templar Assassin,
Phantom Assassin.
Medusa
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 2%)Juggernaut
* Heroes that build Diffusal Blade or can fit it well into their item build will also make Medusa much less tanky:
Riki,
Naga Siren,
Terrorblade,
Juggernaut,
Spectre,
Slark,
Drow Ranger.
Lina
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with spell immunity until Lina buys Aghanim's Scepter, like
Lifestealer with
Rage and
Juggernaut with
Blade Fury.
Techies
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 8%)Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit relies on his Fire Remnant to keep a steady push and then retreat to a safe distance. Keeping two or three patches of Remote Mines on a lane will severely impair him from pushing that lane without risking his life.
Juggernaut
* Juggernaut can attack Remote Mines and trigger Proximity Mines while in Blade Fury.
Ogre Magi
* Techies struggles early game against heroes with naturally large strength and health regeneration such as Pudge,
Axe or
Ogre Magi, as the player is forced to lay down more mines than usual to kill these bulkier heroes.
Pangolier
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 12%)Ember Spirit
* Heroes with considerable mobility can easily escape from a rolling Pangolier: Anti-Mage,
Queen of Pain,
Void Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Earth Spirit, moreover, if a player is familiar with how Rolling Thunder work, they can adjust their movement to avoid it entirely and of course outplay the Pangolier player.
Slardar
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 5%)Juggernaut
* Illusion heroes like the aforementioned Phantom Lancer or
Naga Siren, or heroes that tend to buy
Manta Style, like
Luna or
Juggernaut, will give Slardar a hard time, as his damage is single-targeted.
Leshrac
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with spell immunity: Juggernaut,
Pangolier,
Huskar.
Wraith King
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 17%)Shadow Shaman
* Reincarnation allows Wraith King to survive Shadow Shaman's initial chain of disables and Serpent Ward attacks.
* Short cooldown of Wraithfire Blast is ideal for interrupting Shackles.
Brewmaster
* Heroes with area dispel can kill multiple skeletons at once: Brewmaster,
Oracle.
Juggernaut
* Wraithfire Blast is quite predictable, and players with good reflexes will disjoint it with Blade Fury.
* Omnislash with
Diffusal Blade &
Aghanim's Scepter can prevent Wraith King from reincarnating unless he has his Aghanim's Shard that removes the mana cost from Reincarnation.
Night Stalker
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 5%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with stronger lane presence that can threaten to kill him: Batrider,
Juggernaut,
Ursa,
Monkey King,
Razor.
Tiny
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 5%)Juggernaut
* Melee carries will have a hard time against Tiny's Craggy Exterior: Phantom Assassin,
Chaos Knight,
Juggernaut.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury protects Juggernaut from all of Tiny's magic burst damage, as well as dealing magic damage that bypasses the armor from Grow.
Keeper of the Light
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 4%)Juggernaut
* Keeper of the Light's
Blinding Light makes Juggernaut miss his attacks. However, it can be dispelled easily with
Blade Fury.
Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's Healing Ward keeps his team healthy even when pushing against Keeper of the Light's
Illuminate.
* Blade Fury can dispel Blinding Light, as well as dodge an incoming
Illuminate. Juggernaut can attack towers during Blade Fury, so he can dodge an Illuminate without having to stop pushing.
* Should Keeper of the Light obtain Will-o-Wisp through purchasing an
Aghanim's Scepter, Juggernaut can make quick work of Ignis Fatuus without being interrupted by its pull.
* Keeper of the Light has low health, low armor, and no natural defense against Blade Fury.
Lone Druid
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 1%)Shadow Shaman
* Lone Druid's early game is good against slow, squishy supports since his bear is very strong early game and an Entangling Claws proc almost always guarantees a kill: Ancient Apparition,
Crystal Maiden,
Shadow Shaman,
Skywrath Mage etc.
Brewmaster
* Brewmaster can make the Spirit Bear a much smaller threat with Cinder Brew.
* Cyclone removes the bear from a fight so that his team can easily focus on the hero.
* While most heroes would be worn down by a Spirit Bear Radiance in the time it takes to kill Lone Druid, Brewmaster is protected in Primal Split.
Shadow Demon
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 2%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with abilities that can save teammates are also effective such as Shadow Demon,
Dazzle,
Oracle,
Bane,
Pugna,
Tusk,
Winter Wyvern,
Io,
Underlord,
Treant Protector and
Keeper of the Light.
Additional:
* Be ready to save an ally from Omnislash with your Disruption.
* Spawning Juggernaut's illusions is a great deal, as his base attack time is low and he has a critical strike. Illusions will benefit from both.
* Demonic Purge will prevent Juggernaut's desperate attempt to flee using Blade Fury. However, it cannot stop him if he is using
Town Portal Scroll.
Ember Spirit
* Disruption is not reliable enough to catch an Ember Spirit with a backup Fire Remnant.
* Sleight of Fist will also make quick work of the spawned illusions.
* Ember Spirit usually builds Eul's Scepter of Divinity to dispel Soul Catcher and
Linken's Sphere to block Disruption and Demonic Purge.
* The best you can do against an Ember Spirit is to dispel his Flame Guard with your Demonic Purge.
Sniper
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 6%)Shadow Shaman
* Heroes with channeled abilities which Assassinate may cancel at long range: Witch Doctor,
Crystal Maiden,
Shadow Shaman,
Pugna
Ember Spirit
* Ember Spirit can close the distance between Sniper easily with his Activate Fire Remnant and further keep Sniper in place with
Searing Chains.
* With the help of Aghanim's Scepter, Sniper cannot outrun Ember Spirit or chase him, even if Sniper builds mobility items.
Necrophos
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* Heroes who rely on physical damage are easily negated by Ghost Shroud: Phantom Assassin,
Wraith King,
Juggernaut.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury blocks the damage done by Death Pulse and
Reaper's Scythe. Additionally,
Ghost Shroud decreases Necrophos's magic resistance, making him take more damage from Blade Fury.
Io
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 7%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with abilities that can save teammates are also effective such as Shadow Demon,
Dazzle,
Oracle,
Bane,
Pugna,
Tusk,
Winter Wyvern,
Io,
Underlord,
Treant Protector and
Keeper of the Light.
Ogre Magi
* Ignite has long duration damage-over-time and prevents Io from healing his Tethered ally.
Nyx Assassin
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 7%)Shadow Shaman
* Nyx Assassin,
Bounty Hunter and
Slark can all sneak up and kill you, Nyx being particularly deadly.
Ember Spirit
* With Vendetta, Nyx Assassin can move closely to Ember Spirit when he's farming with his Flame Guard and use
Spiked Carapace with
Impale to provide a reliable and long disable.
* Mana Burn is also good, as Ember Spirit relies on his limited mana pool for the early to midgame.
Additional:
* Spiked Carapace can be easily triggered by Flame Guard or
Battle Fury, setting up a deadly Impale.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune to all Nyx's abilities, except
Vendetta.
* Omnislash. and
Swiftslash can burst Nyx down, ignoring
Spiked Carapace. However,
Vendetta can be used to escape, canceling
Omnislash/
Swiftslash.
Additional:
* Blade Fury completely counters all of Nyx Assassin's abilities except Vendetta, and does not allow him to disengage with Spiked Carapace.
* Omnislash makes quick work of Nyx Assassin, and Spiked Carapace offers no protection at all.
Brewmaster
* Cyclone from Storm in
Primal Split can waste Nyx's Spiked Carapace, since its duration is shorter than the Cyclone's.
Kunkka
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 3%)Ember Spirit
* Using X Marks the spot Kunkka can prevent Ember Spirit from escaping with Activate Fire Remnant, until he purchase
Eul's Scepter of Divinity or
Linken's Sphere.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury negates Kunkka's X Marks the Spot.
* Kunkka has no way to dodge Omnislash.
* Kunkka has no way to hit Healing Ward directly in battle, and it mitigates Ghostship and Tidebringer's damage.
Enchantress
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 1%)Ember Spirit
* Impetus will deal huge amounts of damage when he uses a Fire Remnant to escape.
* Flame Guard is useless against Impetus.
* Enchant dispels Flame guard.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury dispels the slow from
Enchant, spell immunity and used to burst her down during the early laning stage.
* Omnislash and
Swiftslash's physical damage burst ignore
Untouchable.
* Silver Edge is an ideal item for Juggernaut to deal with
Untouchable, making her vulnerable to melee attacks.
Additional:
* Blade Fury dispels the slow from enchant, and can burst her down during the laning stage.
* Omnislash and
Swiftslash's physical damage burst ignore untouchable.
* Silver Edge is a common item for Juggernaut for dealing with Untouchable.
Mars
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 16%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut deals mostly physical damage, which is easily mitigated with Bulwark.
* Juggernaut's Omnislash switches to opposite directions which each slash, so Mars can mitigate most of its damage since he only takes full damage from one direction: his back.
Ogre Magi
* Mars has no way to trade with Ogre Magi in the early game thanks to his high base health, resistance and Ignite.
* Once Ogre Magi gets level 2 he may also have Bloodlust, which makes him even harder to deal with in lane.
* Fireblast can be ridiculously strong later on in the game for controlling Mars.
* Spear of Mars, which is Mars' main source of damage in the early game, cannot guarantee kills early on Ogre Magi.
Earth Spirit
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 10%)Ogre Magi
* Earth Spirit's useful kit of Slows, Stuns, and Silences can set up kills on Ogre Magi and the silence can stop him from using his abilities.
Ember Spirit
* Heroes who can dodge Earth Spirit's abilities: Ember Spirit,
Puck,
Weaver
Storm Spirit
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 12%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Ember Spirit
* Storm Spirit is not only a potent Orchid Malevolence carrier, his
Electric Vortex provides an additional disable and
Overload provides a great slow. When paired with
Static Remnant, they can cut through Flame Guard fast.

About
This website was made to help you in pick stage of online game Dota 2. It calculates rating for each possible counterpicks based on tips from web-based database made up entirely of user contributions Dota 2 wiki.
You will get the list of recommended hero counters with a list of tips written by Dota 2 wiki contributors explaining why it's good against the particular hero. In comparison to other similar websites, which show only rating based on average hero winrate from dotabuff or similar service.
How to interpret this data
Take it with a bit of grain of salt, especially if the recommendation has a low rating (<= 1), some heroes
may win a lane in an early game but would lose in late game (and vice versa). That's why sometimes
you could hero names appearing as a counter and as being countered, as on image:
You can also add your own tips, update old data and fix mistakes by editing page on Dota 2 Wiki (it works like Wikipedia - anyone can contribute, you don't even need to register) these edits will appear on this website automatically (data is updated several times per week).
Right now there is no app/overlay that will detect picks automatically (like overwolf dota plus or become the gamer), instead, you can open web version in a steam in-game browser or use mobile version on your smartphone.
