Pugna
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 4%)Windranger
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 16%)Templar Assassin
* Windranger's Focus Fire tears apart Templar Assassin's refraction very quickly and easily bursts her down due to her low health pool against Windranger's immense attack speed
* Templar Assassin's "Psionic Trap" doesn't slow down Windranger due to her skill Windrun
* Templar Assassin's high damage can also be easily evaded thanks to Windrun's 100% evasion
Juggernaut
* {Ability ID:Windrun|Windranger|16px} negates the damage from {Ability ID:Omnislash|Juggernaut|16px}.
* {Ability ID:Windrun|Windranger|16px} gives Windranger enough movement speed to get out of {Ability ID:Blade fury|Juggernaut|16px} range.
* {Ability ID:Focus fire|Windranger|16px} goes through {Ability ID:Blade Fury|juggernaut|16px}.
Pudge
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 19%)Juggernaut
* Meat Hook can hit and displace Juggernaut during his Blade Fury.
* Dismember pierces Juggernaut's spell immunity from Blade Fury.
Templar Assassin
* His Rot can force Templar Assassin out of her Meld and destroy all of her Refraction charges quickly, and her small health pool and meager defense make her very vulnerable to his
Meat Hook without Refraction.
Razor
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 4%)Templar Assassin
* Razor's Eye of the Storm damage-over-time easily wear off Refraction charges, allowing Templar Assassin to be damaged.
* Static Link empties Templar Assassin's damage output even with the bonus from Refraction, and will keep doing that even if the Razor cannot see her during Meld.
* Plasma Field can easily strike her during Meld.
Juggernaut
* Heroes that rely on right-clicks will find themselves unable to damage opponents seriously after being affected by Static Link, like Sven,
Bloodseeker, and
Juggernaut.
Enigma
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 6%)Templar Assassin
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones: Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,

* Heroes that can quickly deal damage to her, regardless of how weak they are, can easily break through her Refraction:
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones: Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Multiple attackers thanks to illusions: Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Naga Siren (bonus for her
Ensnare). Also despite the visual effects, Templar Assassin does not spill damage against illusions or buildings, so she is not a really good hero to clean up illusions.
* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time: Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Pugna
Juggernaut
* Enigma's Eidolons can help soak Juggernaut's Omnislash in the early game, mitigating the damage and wasting it on disposable summons. Should Juggernaut choose to kill your Eidelons with Blade Fury, he leaves himself open to your disables.
* Enigma's Black Hole and Midnight Pulse damage can pierce through Juggernaut's Blade Fury.
Phantom Lancer
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Illusion-based heroes are effective against Omnislash and Juggernaut's single-targeted damage: Naga Siren,

Templar Assassin
* Phantom Lancer's illusions destroy Refraction charges very quickly.
Chaos Knight
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* While Blade Fury is on cooldown, Juggernaut can easily killed by a standard Chaos Bolt &
Reality Rift combo.
* Phantasm illusions can tank Omnislash.
Templar Assassin
* Multiple attackers thanks to illusions: Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Naga Siren (bonus for her
Ensnare). Also despite the visual effects, Templar Assassin does not spill damage against illusions or buildings, so she is not a really good hero to clean up illusions.

Shackles),
Pugna
Dragon Knight
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with high armor and/or durability can handle Juggernaut's ultimate, such as Sven and
Dragon Knight.
Templar Assassin
* Despite the armor reduction from Meld, Templar Assassin's reliance on physical damage and medium attack speed is unlikely to harm Dragon Knight.
* Templar Assassin's Refraction charges also get quickly removed by the damage over time from Dragon Knight's ultimate.
Additional:
* The damage over time from Dragon Knight's Elder Dragon Form rapidly burns down Refraction, allowing him to attack her. Also,
Breathe Fire reduces Templar Assassin's damage and
Dragon Tail is a stun with a considerable duration, letting him and his team whittle her health down once her defenses wear off.
Naga Siren
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 2%)Juggernaut
* Illusion-based heroes are effective against Omnislash and Juggernaut's single-targeted damage: Naga Siren,

* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time: Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Pugna
Additional:
* Ensnare disables Lanaya's invisibility and Blink Dagger (a core item on Templar Assassin), and her illusions will break Refraction easily.
Riki
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 15%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,

* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time: Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Pugna
Additional:
* Dark Pact rips through Refraction charges and still steals attributes during Refraction.
* Pounce and Dark Pact will still hit Templar Assassin while she is Melded. Since she cannot move, both abilities will be easy for Slark to land.
Meepo
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 1%)Templar Assassin

* Attacks from Boars and the attack speed boost from Inner Beast will quickly wear down Refraction.

Necronomicon can see Templar Assassin in
Meld.
Arc Warden
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 5%)Templar Assassin
* Arc Warden's Flux tears through Refraction charges almost instantly. Should he have a
Tempest Double and no creeps are around, a 75% slow means almost certain death.
* Meld is useless against Spark Wraith.
Additional:
* Flux wastes Templar Assassin's Refraction unless she has a
Black King Bar or a
Manta Style.
* Spark Wraith can be used to bully a Templar Assassin that used Meld.
Shadow Shaman
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 17%)Templar Assassin
* Shackles and Mass Serpent Ward instantly destroy Refraction
Troll Warlord
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Troll Warlord's ability to attack as a ranged hero allows him to destroy Juggernaut's Healing Ward from afar.
* Battle Trance, when activated during Omnislash, allows Troll Warlord to survive the full duration of Omnislash and retaliate once it is over.
Bane
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* Fiend's Grip and an
Aghanim's Scepter upgraded

[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 5%)Templar Assassin
* Windranger's Focus Fire tears apart Templar Assassin's refraction very quickly and easily bursts her down due to her low health pool against Windranger's immense attack speed

* Templar Assassin's high damage can also be easily evaded thanks to Windrun's 100% evasion
Additional:
* Venomous Gale and Plague Wards allow to quickly melt through Refraction charges.
* Both Poison Nova and Venomous Gale hit invisible units, so Meld cannot be used defensively.
Batrider
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 5%)Templar Assassin
* Batrider's abilities are designed to deal damage over time, burning through Templar Assassin's layers extremely quickly. Flamebreak applies 7 instances of damage, burning through the entirety of Refraction, and
Firefly applies damage on the place, forcing her to either get out of Meld and be attacked or stay in place or be incinerated.
Additional:
* Batrider's DoT damage quickly removes Templar Assassin's Refraction and can damage her during
Meld.
Mars
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 15%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut deals mostly physical damage, which is easily mitigated with Bulwark.
* Juggernaut's Omnislash switches to opposite directions which each slash, so Mars can mitigate most of its damage since he only takes full damage from one direction: his back.
Legion Commander
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 12%)Juggernaut
* Duel pierces spell immunity and forces him to attack Legion Commander, making him unable to use
Omnislash.
Axe
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Berserker's Call pierces spell immunity, making a Blade Fury teleport escape impossible. It's very useful against Omnislash as well.
* Juggernaut's low base health and high attack speed causes him to take a lot of damage from the pure damage of Counter Helix.
* Axe is a common Blade Mail and
Blink Dagger carrier making him a very big potential threat before Juggernaut gets items.
Viper
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 5%)Templar Assassin
* The damage over time from Viper's Poison Attack and
Viper Strike rapidly wear down Refraction charges, allowing Templar Assassin to be damaged. Additionally,
Corrosive Skin causes her attacks to apply damage over time on her as well.
* Nethertoxin is a big threat to Templar Assassin. Her initially low range making it very hard to deal against Nethertoxin in laning phase. At any stage of the game, a Nethertoxin can always force her to undo her Meld.
Additional:
* All of Viper's abilities quickly burn through Refraction charges.
* Templar Assassin's short range, aside from Psi Blades' spill damage, makes her vulnerable to Poison Attack harassment.
* Templar Assassin traditionally forgoes health and armor items for damage. Outside of Black King Bar, Viper will almost always be able to kill her when
Refraction is down.
Brewmaster
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 1%)Templar Assassin
* The three Primal Split brewlings all attacking Templar Assassin at once will remove her Refraction quickly, especially with Fire's Permanent Immolation.
* Templar Assassin has no way to stop Brewmaster from using Primal Split by herself, and may get unlucky and miss her Meld if trying to burst him during her ally's disable.

Shackles),
Pugna

Spirit Breaker
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 8%)Templar Assassin
* Because Templar Assassin does not have escape potential in lane, any support hero with roaming potential and a Dust of Appearance can be great at shutting her down early game:
Earth Spirit,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk,
Bounty Hunter,
Riki,
Warlock.
Earth Spirit
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Templar Assassin
* Because Templar Assassin does not have escape potential in lane, any support hero with roaming potential and a Dust of Appearance can be great at shutting her down early game:
Earth Spirit,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk,
Bounty Hunter,
Riki,
Warlock.
Additional:
* Templar Assassin is dependant on Refraction in teamfights. Because Magnetize deals damage per second and Earth Spirit is even able to refresh the duration of his ultimate he is suitable for wasting Refraction and allowing his team to take her down.

* Illusion-based heroes are effective against Omnislash and Juggernaut's single-targeted damage: Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade,
Phantom Lancer.
Templar Assassin
* Terrorblade is one of the strongest carries in the late game, due to his resilience against physical damage, which can be a problem for almost every strong burst physical damage carries, such as Phantom Assassin and
Templar Assassin.
Juggernaut
* Heroes, whose core item builds includes Monkey King Bar:
Faceless Void,
Windranger,
Weaver,
Juggernaut.
Shadow Demon
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 2%)Juggernaut

Winter Wyvern,
Io,
Underlord,

* Spawning Juggernaut's illusions is a great deal, as his base attack time is low and he has a critical strike. Illusions will benefit from both.

Town Portal Scroll.
Vengeful Spirit
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 4%)Juggernaut
* With the exception of Magic Missile (unless the player takes the Level 25 Talent "Magic Missile Pierces Spell Immunity"), all of Vengeful Spirit's spells ignore Spell Immunity. This also makes her good against heroes with built-in Spell Immunity like Lifestealer or
Juggernaut or heroes that tend to pick up
Black King Bar, like
Sven.

* Firestorm will destroy Refraction charges very quickly.
* Firestorm will hit Templar Assassin while Melded.
* Templar Assassin has a hard time maneuvering around Pit of Malice.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with abilities that can save teammates are also effective such as Shadow Demon,
Dazzle,
Oracle,
Bane,
Pugna,
Tusk,

Templar Assassin
* In general, heroes that provide vision will see Dark Rift coming: Techies,

Juggernaut
* In general, heroes with spell immunity abilities won't be caught inside by Pit of Malice: Juggernaut,

Templar Assassin
* Heroes who can delivers a big chunk of damage in few hits will find themselves struggle against Templar Assassin's Refraction: Sven,
Phantom Assassin,
Ursa,

Additional:
* Templar Assassin usually places Psionic Traps inside the Roshan Pit (and can teleport herself to the traps with an
Aghanim's Scepter), preventing Ursa from killing Roshan without getting noticed by the enemy team.
Jakiro
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 10%)Templar Assassin
* All of Jakiro's active skills can be targeted on an area, which is effective at forcing Templar Assassin to move should she Meld away.
* Many of Jakiro's spells utilize damage-over-time mechanics, which makes it easy to strip away layers of Refraction.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with good mobility to avoid Jakiro's abilities and with good chase to punish Jakiro from pushing a tower: Bloodseeker,
Ember Spirit,
Juggernaut,
Phantom Assassin,
Weaver.
Pangolier
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 9%)Templar Assassin
* Swashbuckle quickly burn away Refraction charges.
* Lucky Shot can possibly disrupt Templar Assassin when she is boosted with Refraction.
* Pangolier's abilities which does not need to target and has big area of effect allows him to damage her even during Meld.
* Pangolier's high mobility easily shrug off the slow from Psionic Trap.
Templar Assassin
* Powerful physical hitters that can destroy Pangolier during his rolling from afar: Drow Ranger,
Sniper,
Templar Assassin,
Arc Warden

* Drow Ranger can use Gust to push back Juggernaut before he can get in range to use Omnislash or
Blade Fury.
Templar Assassin
* Fragile carries with no reliable escaping mechanism can be bursted down in no time: Sniper,

Techies
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 7%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut can attack Remote Mines and trigger Proximity Mines while in Blade Fury.
Templar Assassin
* Refraction can be very useful in safely navigating potentially mined choke points and rune spawns.
Invoker
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 16%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's instant spell immunity from Blade Fury. helps him dodge Invoker's combos. He can dispel the disables from
Cold Snap and
Deafening Blast and dodge the damage from
Chaos Meteor, as well as walk through
Ice Wall.
* Juggernaut's high DPS allows him to kill split pushing Forge Spirit(s) effortlessly, and his high armor prevents them from being a threat to him.
* However, Invoker can hit Juggernaut with Sun Strike through
Blade Fury, making the
Tornado and
Sun Strike combo a threat if he does not dodge
Tornado.
Additional:
* Blade Fury, similar to Rage, grants immunity to Invoker's spells and can dispel some debuffs as well.
* Omnislash renders Juggernaut invulnerable to Invoker's spells and can easily take Invoker down.
Templar Assassin
* Templar Assassin can easily counter Invoker's last hitting process in the early game with Refraction.
Refraction also negates the stun from Cold Snap, since it will need to deal damage in order to apply its stun.
* Additionally, Refraction completely blocks damage from Sun Strike should Invoker try to finish her off, provided she activate Refraction beforehand.
Wraith King
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 19%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes who can delivers a big chunk of damage in few hits will find themselves struggle against Templar Assassin's Refraction: Sven,
Phantom Assassin,
Ursa,
Wraith King,
Lifestealer
Juggernaut
* Wraithfire Blast is quite predictable, and players with good reflexes will disjoint it with Blade Fury.
* Omnislash with
Diffusal Blade &
Aghanim's Scepter can prevent Wraith King from reincarnating unless he has his Aghanim's Shard that removes the mana cost from Reincarnation.
Zeus
[wiki] rating: -1.4 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 9%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes that avoid damage by coming in and out of invisibility in teamfights such as Weaver,
Templar Assassin, and
Riki will be easy for Zeus to reveal with Lightning Bolt and Thundergod's Wrath, but these heroes usually have other ways to avoid his damage or kill him, so he is not a perfect counter alone.
Juggernaut
* None of Zeus's abilities can damage a Juggernaut in Blade Fury.
* Zeus's short attack range makes it difficult for him to target a well-placed Healing Ward. His frequent use of
Arc Lightning will have almost no effect on allies being healed by Juggernaut.
* Zeus has no way to defend himself, even if Juggernaut cannot use Blade Fury. He can be easily taken out if cornered, sometimes even without
Omnislash.
Additional:
* Blade Fury negates all magical damage from Zeus.
* Omnislash can easily take down Zeus. However, be aware that most players will get a
Eul's Scepter of Divinity or a
Ghost Scepter against Juggernaut.
Templar Assassin
* Refraction blocks all of Zeus' damage and Zeus has no innate way of removing the instances quickly.
* Meld helps burst down Zeus' small health pool while he's still working through the Refraction instances.
* Psi Blades allow her to harass and zone Zeus in lane.
* Templar Assassin usually buys Blink Dagger, enabling her to quickly close the gap to Zeus' defensive positioning.
Additional:
* Although Lightning Bolt and
Thundergod's Wrath can reveal Templar Assassin during Meld, Zeus nonetheless has no way to deal with Refraction.
* Zeus is a rather squishy hero, falling easily to Templar Assassin's high burst damage.
Lina
[wiki] rating: -1.2 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 10%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes with powerful nuke can waste their precious abilites on her Refraction during a ganking attempt or chaos combat: Lich,

Lifestealer with
Rage and
Juggernaut with
Blade Fury.
Ancient Apparition

Juggernaut, etc.
Templar Assassin
* Fragile supports with low armor are always a good prey, also her Psionic Trap will wear down most attempts to flee with their built-in disables: Silencer,
Crystal Maiden,
Warlock,
Ancient Apparition,
Grimstroke,
Witch Doctor
Enchantress
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 40% pickrate: 1%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury dispels the slow from
Enchant, spell immunity and used to burst her down during the early laning stage.
* Omnislash and
Swiftslash's physical damage burst ignore
Untouchable.
* Silver Edge is an ideal item for Juggernaut to deal with
Untouchable, making her vulnerable to melee attacks.
Additional:
* Blade Fury dispels the slow from enchant, and can burst her down during the laning stage.
* Omnislash and
Swiftslash's physical damage burst ignore untouchable.
* Silver Edge is a common item for Juggernaut for dealing with Untouchable.
Kunkka
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 4%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury negates Kunkka's X Marks the Spot.
* Kunkka has no way to dodge Omnislash.
* Kunkka has no way to hit Healing Ward directly in battle, and it mitigates Ghostship and Tidebringer's damage.
Keeper of the Light
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 6%)Juggernaut
* Keeper of the Light's
Blinding Light makes Juggernaut miss his attacks.
Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's Healing Ward keeps his team healthy even when pushing against Keeper of the Light's
Illuminate.
* Blade Fury can dispel Blinding Light, as well as dodge an incoming
Illuminate. Juggernaut can attack towers during Blade Fury, so he can dodge an Illuminate without having to stop pushing.
* Should Keeper of the Light obtain Will-o-Wisp through purchasing an
Aghanim's Scepter, Juggernaut can make quick work of Ignis Fatuus without being interrupted by its pull.
* Keeper of the Light has low health, low armor, and no natural defense against Blade Fury.
Templar Assassin
* Heroes that can jump and kill him: Meepo,
Clinkz,
Templar Assassin
Shadow Fiend
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 18%)Templar Assassin
* Shadow Fiend's fragility and lack of a natural escape mechanism makes him a great target for Templar Assassin's Meld.
* Shadow Fiend's burst damage, such as Shadowraze and
Requiem of Souls, is easily nullified by her Refraction.
Snapfire
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 6%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune against all of Snapfire's spells and allows him to get closer.
* A well-timed Omnislash allows Juggernaut to dodge Snapfire's spells, and she has no way to deal with it.
Spectre
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's Healing Ward can help save allied supports when Spectre attempts a Haunt kill.
* Juggernaut has a stronger push potential than Spectre, enabling him to end the game early before Spectre can come online.
* Spectre is often paired with two supports that are often weak against Juggernaut.
* Juggernaut also tends to build a Manta Style, which can prevent Desolate from taking effect.
* Juggernaut is invulnerable against Dispersion while using Omnislash.
Centaur Warrunner
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 4%)Templar Assassin
* Centaur has nothing to deal with Refraction that will negate all of his burst damage.
* Psionic Traps provide good vision, making for him harder to initiate.
Disruptor
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury allows Juggernaut to simply move out of Kinetic Field and to dodge Glimpse.
* Healing Ward can keep heroes trapped in the Static Storm alive.
* Omnislash can be used to dodge Glimpse.
Earthshaker
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 15%)Templar Assassin
* Her Psionic Traps will usually disable Earthshaker's
Blink Dagger prior to a teamfight, preventing him from initiating.
* Refraction blocks all of Earthshaker's abilities.
Clockwerk
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 7%)Juggernaut
* Juggernaut is invulnerable while using Omnislash, meaning that neither
Blade Mail or Power Cogs will save Clockwerk, this is especially common during the early laning phase.
* Blade Fury will also ignore any damage dealt by Battery Assault, as well as dealing heavy damage. As long as Juggernaut has mana to cast it, any engagement with Power Cogs will hurt Clockwerk a lot more than Juggernaut.
Luna
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 4%)Juggernaut
* Because of her low range, Luna cannot easily destroy Healing Ward.
* Both Blade Fury and
Omnislash are direct counters to Eclipse, offering Juggernaut spell immunity.
Dark Willow
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 7%)Juggernaut
* None of Dark Willow's spells pierce Spell Immunity, making Blade Fury a good counter against her. Additionally, it dispels
Cursed Crown and
Bramble Maze.
* Dark Willow is generally fragile, which results in Omnislash being devastating against her.
* However, if Shadow Realm is activated during
Omnislash, then the attack damage is negated (though
Omnislash can still jump to other enemies).
Additional:
* Blade Fury dispels most of Dark Willow's abilities, allowing Juggernaut to pass through Bramble Maze and cancel out Cursed Crown before the stun occurs.
Void Spirit
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 12%)Templar Assassin
* Refraction negates all of Void Spirit's burst damage.
* Meld quickly burns through
Resonant Pulse.
Elder Titan
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 1%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune to Elder Titan's stun, so there is a high chance he wont get caught in your ultimate although Earth Splitter pierces spell immunity.
Nyx Assassin
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 14%)Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune to all Nyx's abilities, except
Vendetta.
* Omnislash. and
Swiftslash can burst Nyx down, ignoring
Spiked Carapace. However,
Vendetta can be used to escape, canceling
Omnislash/
Swiftslash.
Additional:
* Blade Fury completely counters all of Nyx Assassin's abilities except Vendetta, and does not allow him to disengage with Spiked Carapace.
* Omnislash makes quick work of Nyx Assassin, and Spiked Carapace offers no protection at all.
Medusa
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* Heroes that build Diffusal Blade or can fit it well into their item build will also make Medusa much less tanky:
Riki,
Naga Siren,
Terrorblade,
Juggernaut,
Spectre,
Slark,
Drow Ranger.
Phantom Assassin
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 15%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes who can delivers a big chunk of damage in few hits will find themselves struggle against Templar Assassin's Refraction: Sven,
Phantom Assassin,
Ursa,
Wraith King,
Lifestealer
Grimstroke
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 12%)Templar Assassin
* Fragile supports with low armor are always a good prey, also her Psionic Trap will wear down most attempts to flee with their built-in disables: Silencer,
Crystal Maiden,
Warlock,
Ancient Apparition,
Grimstroke,
Witch Doctor
Sniper
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 6%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes with powerful nuke can waste their precious abilites on her Refraction during a ganking attempt or chaos combat: Lich,
Lina,
Sniper,
Outworld Destroyer
Zeus
Silencer
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 7%)Templar Assassin
* Fragile supports with low armor are always a good prey, also her Psionic Trap will wear down most attempts to flee with their built-in disables: Silencer,
Crystal Maiden,
Warlock,
Ancient Apparition,
Grimstroke,
Witch Doctor
Lifestealer
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 5%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes who can delivers a big chunk of damage in few hits will find themselves struggle against Templar Assassin's Refraction: Sven,
Phantom Assassin,
Ursa,
Wraith King,
Lifestealer
Lich
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 11%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes with powerful nuke can waste their precious abilites on her Refraction during a ganking attempt or chaos combat: Lich,
Lina,
Sniper,
Outworld Destroyer
Zeus
Skywrath Mage
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 6%)Juggernaut
* Skywrath's pitiful defences also make him easy meat to heroes with high physical burst like Juggernaut or
Phantom Assassin, the latter occasionally downing a support Skywrath in a single
Stifling Dagger.
Clinkz
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 5%)Templar Assassin
* Fragile carries with no reliable escaping mechanism can be bursted down in no time: Sniper,
Drow Ranger,
Clinkz
Night Stalker
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 5%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with stronger lane presence that can threaten to kill him: Batrider,
Juggernaut,
Ursa,
Monkey King,
Razor.
Tiny
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 6%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes that have disposable area-targeted spells can force her to undo her Meld: Leshrac,
Puck,
Tiny. An experienced Templar Assassin could try to Refraction before Meld so she can tank through those damage without getting her Blink disabled.
Juggernaut
* Melee carries will have a hard time against Tiny's Craggy Exterior: Phantom Assassin,
Chaos Knight,
Juggernaut.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury protects Juggernaut from all of Tiny's magic burst damage, as well as dealing magic damage that bypasses the armor from Grow.
Templar Assassin
* Due to Tiny's non-existent agility gain, high physical damage heroes are more effective against him (Clinkz,
Phantom Assassin,
Templar Assassin,
Ursa,
Wraith King etc).
Gyrocopter
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 2%)Templar Assassin
* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time: Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Pugna
* Heroes that can quickly deal damage to her, regardless of how weak they are, can easily break through her Refraction:
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones: Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Multiple attackers thanks to illusions: Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Naga Siren (bonus for her
Ensnare). Also despite the visual effects, Templar Assassin does not spill damage against illusions or buildings, so she is not a really good hero to clean up illusions.
* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time: Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Pugna
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury and
Omnislash allows Juggernaut to avoid Gyrocopter's area attacks entirely.
Anti-Mage
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 14%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Templar Assassin
* Refraction protects against Anti-Mage's low burst damage, and allows her to win most fights against Anti-Mage during the early game.
* Meld's burst damage and armor reduction is often enough to finish off Anti-Mage before he Blinks away.
Necrophos
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Juggernaut
* Heroes who rely on physical damage are easily negated by Ghost Shroud: Phantom Assassin,
Wraith King,
Juggernaut.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury blocks the damage done by Death Pulse and
Reaper's Scythe. Additionally,
Ghost Shroud decreases Necrophos's magic resistance, making him take more damage from Blade Fury.
Puck
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 18%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes that have disposable area-targeted spells can force her to undo her Meld: Leshrac,
Puck,
Tiny. An experienced Templar Assassin could try to Refraction before Meld so she can tank through those damage without getting her Blink disabled.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with escaping and disjointing abilities can be good against Juggernaut:Anti-Mage
Riki,
Queen of Pain,
Puck,
Storm Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Slark etc.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with spell immunity or pseudo-blinks which provide invulnerability: Lifestealer,
Juggernaut,
Omniknight,
Huskar , and
Tusk have spells which allow them to easily escape Dream Coil.
Templar Assassin
* None of Puck's abilities have any damage-over-time components, meaning that Refraction is a valuable form of defense against Puck's lane harassment.
* Psi Blades deals pure damage and spills over instantly. Puck cannot reliably dodge the damage with Phase Shift.
Crystal Maiden
[wiki] rating: -0.2 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 14%)Templar Assassin
* As with other heroes mentioned in this section, Templar Assassin is not a hero that is fully "countered" by Crystal Maiden (the way she is against Viper and
Jakiro), however, the proper combination and execution Crystal Maiden's spells, stacked with her team, can most certainly spell the end for Templar Assassin.
* Frostbite can quickly eat away Refraction charges, leaving Templar Assassin vulnerable for the rest of her team to kill.
* Freezing Field will still apply damage to Templar Assassin when she is under the effect of Meld, making it an even less viable form of escape until a
Blink Dagger is purchased.
* Blink Dagger is also cancelled by all of Crystal Maiden's spells, and the fairly short cooldowns on Frostbite and Crystal Nova make her a great asset to a chase against Templar Assassin.
* This is not to say that Templar Assassin has any difficulty killing off the low armor, low HP pool Crystal Maiden, so fighting her alone is never advised.
Juggernaut
* Juggernaut and
Lifestealer have abilities (
Blade Fury and
Rage respectively) that prevent Crystal Maiden from using her spells on them in the early game, before
Black King Bar and other magical reduction is even an issue.
Templar Assassin
* Fragile supports with low armor are always a good prey, also her Psionic Trap will wear down most attempts to flee with their built-in disables: Silencer,
Crystal Maiden,
Warlock,
Ancient Apparition,
Grimstroke,
Witch Doctor
Outworld Destroyer
[wiki] rating: -0.2 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 17%)Juggernaut
* Astral Imprisonment allows Outworld Destroyer to save himself or his teamates during Omnislash.
* Juggernaut's low mana from his low intelligence gain means that he'll take a lot of damage from Sanity's Eclipse.
Templar Assassin
* Heroes with powerful nuke can waste their precious abilites on her Refraction during a ganking attempt or chaos combat: Lich,
Lina,
Sniper,
Outworld Destroyer
Zeus
Additional:
* Refraction blocks most of the damage dealt with Arcane Orb and Sanity's Eclipse if used correctly, and is difficult for Outworld Devourer to deal with.
* If Astral Imprisonment is on cooldown, then an Outworld Devourer slowed by Psionic Trap is an easy kill for Templar Assassin, especially during the laning stage.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with built-in spell immunity can become immune to all of Outworld Devourer's spells: Lifestealer's
Rage and
Juggernaut's
Blade Fury.
Sven
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 43% pickrate: 1%)Juggernaut
* Great Cleave is very effective against Chaos Knight's illusions.
* Storm Hammer's radius can catch all of Chaos Knight's illusions at once, especially after Reality Rift.
* Warcry shields Sven and his teammates against Chaos Knight's burst physical damage.
Templar Assassin
* Sven has no easy way to burn Refraction charges and needs help from teammates to kill TA successfully.
Witch Doctor
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 13%)Templar Assassin
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones: Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes that can quickly deal damage to her, regardless of how weak they are, can easily break through her Refraction:
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones: Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Multiple attackers thanks to illusions: Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Naga Siren (bonus for her
Ensnare). Also despite the visual effects, Templar Assassin does not spill damage against illusions or buildings, so she is not a really good hero to clean up illusions.
* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time: Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Pugna
Templar Assassin
* Fragile supports with low armor are always a good prey, also her Psionic Trap will wear down most attempts to flee with their built-in disables: Silencer,
Crystal Maiden,
Warlock,
Ancient Apparition,
Grimstroke,
Witch Doctor
Slardar
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 6%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes who can provide True Sight are always credible threats: Slardar,
Bounty Hunter, especially
Zeus since his
Lightning Bolt provides True Sight without the need to detect her beforehand to apply the debuff. So even a late-coming Zeus can easily scout a large area to reveal her, and she cannot purge herself from his sight with the dispel talent.
Juggernaut
* Illusion heroes like the aforementioned Phantom Lancer or
Naga Siren, or heroes that tend to buy
Manta Style, like
Luna or
Juggernaut, will give Slardar a hard time, as his damage is single-targeted.
Leshrac
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 2%)Templar Assassin
* Heroes that have disposable area-targeted spells can force her to undo her Meld: Leshrac,
Puck,
Tiny. An experienced Templar Assassin could try to Refraction before Meld so she can tank through those damage without getting her Blink disabled.
Juggernaut
* Heroes with spell immunity: Juggernaut,
Pangolier,
Huskar.
Oracle
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Juggernaut
* Heroes with abilities that can save teammates are also effective such as Shadow Demon,
Dazzle,
Oracle,
Bane,
Pugna,
Tusk,
Winter Wyvern,
Io,
Underlord,
Treant Protector and
Keeper of the Light.
Templar Assassin
* Because Oracle uses few, powerful instances of damage to kill enemies, Templar Assassin's
Refraction and
Visage's
Gravekeeper's Cloak can absorb his burst damage.
Phoenix
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Templar Assassin
* Icarus Dive allows Phoenix to shrug off the slow from her trap and make an easy escape from her ambush.
* As Templar Assassin relies on her quality-over-quantity bursting attacks to make quick work on fragile target, Fire Spirits' attack speed reduction can cripple her ability to deals any damage during combat. With the debuff applied in early-mid game, a Meld-breaking hit from her is significantly slowed to the point that her target can make a safe distance before she even landed the hit.
* Sun Ray has quick damage tick and will burn through her Refraction in no time.
* Supernova deals damage over time in an incredibly large area, and again with her quality-over-quantity style, she may not be able to attack quickly enough to break through the Phoenix Sun by herself. (not to mention the debuff from Fire Spirits) This can lead to a failed ganking attempt or even a turnaround.
Additional:
* Her Refraction charges can and will be easily burned away by Phoenix's damage over time abilities, and
Meld can't protect her from Phoenix's AoE abilities, even without detection.
Juggernaut
* Juggernaut's high attack speed lets him destroy a Supernova easily. He can even attack a Supernova during Blade Fury with his regular attacks.
* Blade Fury protects Juggernaut from all of Phoenix's spells (except
Supernova, which pierces spell immunity).
* Blade Fury can also dispel the attack speed slow from
Fire Spirits and the movement speed slow from
Icarus Dive.
* Phoenix's Icarus Dive will not protect it from
Omnislash unless it dives into creeps, and Phoenix's low armor makes for an easy kill.
Huskar
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Templar Assassin
* Huskar's burn damage from Burning Spear is incredibly strong against Templar Assassin as it completely cancels out her Refraction from the burning over time which results in making her very vulnerable to being ganked or harassed, and in turn forcing her out of the lane.
Juggernaut
* Blade Fury makes Juggernaut immune to the damage from Life Break and Burning Spears.
* It can be instantly activated the second Juggernaut sees Huskar flying towards him with Life Break, blocking all damage.
* Healing Ward effectively negates any damage-over-time from Burning Spears.
* Huskar has no defense against Omnislash and takes heavy damage due to his low armor.
Warlock
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Templar Assassin
* Because Templar Assassin does not have escape potential in lane, any support hero with roaming potential and a Dust of Appearance can be great at shutting her down early game:
Earth Spirit,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk,
Bounty Hunter,
Riki,
Warlock.
Additional:
* Warlock can cast Upheaval when Templar Assassin uses
Meld, preventing escape.
* Warlock can also send his {U:Warlock Golem} near where she used Meld, preventing escape by
Blink Dagger due to the {U:Warlock Golem}
Permanent Immolation.
Templar Assassin
* Fragile supports with low armor are always a good prey, also her Psionic Trap will wear down most attempts to flee with their built-in disables: Silencer,
Crystal Maiden,
Warlock,
Ancient Apparition,
Grimstroke,
Witch Doctor
Bounty Hunter
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 9%)Templar Assassin
* Because Templar Assassin does not have escape potential in lane, any support hero with roaming potential and a Dust of Appearance can be great at shutting her down early game:
Earth Spirit,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk,
Bounty Hunter,
Riki,
Warlock.
Juggernaut
* Juggernaut with
Blade Fury
* Heroes that can remove the Track debuff with their skills:
* Abaddon with
Aphotic Shield and
Borrowed Time
* Huskar with
Life Break
* Juggernaut with
Blade Fury
* Legion Commander with
Press the Attack
* Lifestealer with
Rage and
Infest
* Naga Siren with
Mirror Image
* Omniknight with
Heavenly Grace
* Oracle with
Fortune's End and
False Promise
* Phantom Lancer with
Doppelganger
* Slark with
Dark Pact
* Ursa with
Enrage
* Weaver with
Time Lapse
* Tidehunter with
Kraken Shell when damage received reaches the threshold.

About
This website was made to help you in pick stage of online game Dota 2. It calculates rating for each possible counterpicks based on tips from web-based database made up entirely of user contributions Dota 2 wiki.
You will get the list of recommended hero counters with a list of tips written by Dota 2 wiki contributors explaining why it's good against the particular hero. In comparison to other similar websites, which show only rating based on average hero winrate from dotabuff or similar service.
How to interpret this data
Take it with a bit of grain of salt, especially if the recommendation has a low rating (<= 1), some heroes
may win a lane in an early game but would lose in late game (and vice versa). That's why sometimes
you could hero names appearing as a counter and as being countered, as on image:
You can also add your own tips, update old data and fix mistakes by editing page on Dota 2 Wiki (it works like Wikipedia - anyone can contribute, you don't even need to register) these edits will appear on this website automatically (data is updated several times per week).
Right now there is no app/overlay that will detect picks automatically (like overwolf dota plus or become the gamer), instead, you can open web version in a steam in-game browser or use mobile version on your smartphone.

Juggernaut
*
Decrepify prevents
Omnislash damage, until Juggernaut gets a
Nullifier.
Blade Fury.
Nether Ward will hurt him more and even worse, the damage from the ward is inflicted before the spell immunity provided by
Blade Fury.
Omnislash until he gets a
Nullifier, and even then he will probably waste a couple of slashes before he uses it.
Blade Fury.
Slark or
Phantom Assassin, Juggernaut's spells cost a hefty amount of mana and he will seriously get hurt by Nether Ward. Don't forget the damage from the ward is inflicted before the spell immunity is provided by
Blade Fury.
* Without a disable, Pugna's high movement speed makes it harder to chase him with
* Juggernaut has low mana and his skills cost large amount of mana.
Additional:
* Decrepify is the perfect tool against
* Without an extra disable, Pugna's high movement speed makes it impossible to chase him with
* Unlike some other carries like
Templar Assassin
* Pugna's
Decrepify can render Templar Assassin's physical attacks useless.
Life Drain on Templar Assassin, burning her Refraction instances.
* Pugna can also cast
* On the other hand, Pugna generally has low health and armor. Use this to your advantage.
