Juggernaut
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 19%)Lina
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 13%)Luna
* Lina has very high magic burst damage to use against the low-health-pool Luna. Laguna Blade can also be upgraded with
Aghanim's Scepter to bypass Luna's
Black King Bar, making Lina even more of a threat.
Gyrocopter
* Laguna Blade ends Gyrocopter very quickly in the early to mid game.
Zeus
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 11%)Luna
* His highly damaging nuke spells with low cooldowns is not something Luna wants to go against.
* Thundergod's Wrath can be used before a fight to harm Luna before she activates her Black King Bar, reducing her survivability for that fight.
Gyrocopter
* Heroes with high magical burst damage will kill Gyrocopter before he gets to do much: Lina,
Lion,
Zeus
Faceless Void
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 43% pickrate: 7%)Gyrocopter
* Time Walk makes it hard for Gyrocopter to pin down Faceless Void. With
Backtrack it also negates most of his attacks.
* Time Dilation will prevent Gyrocopter from using his cooldown spells.
Luna
* Every hero that can withstand or prevent Eclipse at level 7: Juggernaut,
Riki,
Clockwerk,
Drow Ranger,
Abaddon,
Faceless Void,
Weaver,
Outworld Destroyer.
Storm Spirit

* Heroes with high mobility will be able to avoid Gyrocopter's area attacks: Storm Spirit,

Ember Spirit
Luna
* Escape-type carries: Slark,
Storm Spirit,
Weaver.
Broodmother
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 2%)Luna
* Her Spiderlings can harass Luna in lane heavily, as Luna has no AoE abilities to clear Spiderlings.
* Broodmother can knock down towers in the early game quickly, and limit Luna's farming space.
Void Spirit
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 10%)Gyrocopter
* Void Spirit can easily dodge Gyrocopter's {Ability ID:Homing Missile|gyrocopter} with the help of Dissimilate.
* Void Spirit can partly dodge Call Down via Dissimilate or move out of its range with Astral Step.
* Gyrocopter has no escape abilities, which benefits Void Spirit's high mobility.
Timbersaw
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 7%)Gyrocopter
* Timbersaw is often too mobile and durable for Gyrocopter to bring down with his area attacks.
Huskar
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 2%)Gyrocopter
* Life Break and
Burning Spear usually kills Gyrocopter before he can do much damage to Huskar.
* Inner Fire applies a disarm on all enemies, which can be a hindrance to Gyrocopter.
Anti-Mage
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 14%)Gyrocopter
* Mana Break makes Gyrocopter, who has low mana pool, unable to use his abilities that most of his damage output depends on.
* Counterspell negates magical damages from Gyrocopter and it can also reflect Homing Missile back to himself.
* Anti-Mage can easily escape from Gyrocopter's attack range and Call Down with Blink.
Sniper
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 5%)Luna
* Sniper usually sits at the back and it's hard for Luna to get close to him to attack.
* Due to Sniper's Shrapnel and his long range, Luna has a hard time taking high ground despite her Moon Glaives being fantastic for taking Barracks and buildings.
Techies
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 7%)Luna
* Luna has low HP, low range and often stalks through jungle. She cannot properly disarm Proximity Mines and could fall victim to their traps.
* Of course, if Luna happens to catch Techies off-guard, they won't be able to survive for long against Eclipse, Lucent Beam, and right-clicks.
Pudge
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 21%)Luna
* Flesh Heap's magic resistance allows him to survive Eclipse, and
Meat Hook and
Dismember can disable Luna through her Black King Bar.
* However, Lucent Beam can still cancel Dismember from a safe distance, even if its damage is going to be reduced.
Additional:
* Pudge can easily survive Luna's Lucent Beam and
Eclipse, and his Meat Hook and Dismember can pierce
Black King Bar, making Luna one of the perfect victims for ganking.
* However, Lucent Beam can cancel Dismember, as Pudge often doesn't build Black King Bar, and if she is farmed enough, Luna might be able to fight back against Pudge.
Rubick
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 17%)Luna
* Lucent Beam is a solid magic nuke.
* Eclipse can cause massive damage if cast in the right time.
* Rubick has a good chance to steal Eclipse for Luna has only two cast abilities.
* Aghanim's Scepter greatly increased the effectiveness of the ability, including more damage as well as longer cast range. In addition, it allows him to cast it on another hero so Rubick doesn't have to get close to the enemy team in teamfights.
Bristleback
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 8%)Luna
* Quill Spray and
Bristleback harass Luna more efficiently than she does with Lucent Beam.
* Bristleback withstands Luna’s nukes, and gives lots of damage in return.
* Viscous Nasal Goo and
Warpath are enough to outrun a speedy Luna.
* Bristleback tends to be a frequent carrier of Crimson Guard, which is good protection from bouncing glaives.
Additional:
* Multiple instances of damage from Eclipse will trigger Bristleback's passive repeatedly in a short time, dealing tremendous damage to Luna and her teammates.
* Luna's damage burst may be high, but it will not be enough for her to take down Bristleback.
Night Stalker
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 5%)Gyrocopter
* Heroes with weaker mobility will struggle to keep up with Night Stalker: Gyrocopter,
Ursa,

Shadow Shaman.
Clockwerk
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 7%)Luna
* Every hero that can withstand or prevent Eclipse at level 7: Juggernaut,
Riki,
Clockwerk,
Drow Ranger,
Abaddon,
Faceless Void,
Weaver,
Outworld Destroyer.
Arc Warden
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Gyrocopter
* Magnetic Field evades most of Gyrocopter's attacks.
* Necronomicon can kill Gyrocopter with the summons. In addition, Last Will might activate if the Necronomicon Warrior gets killed through Flak Cannon or Call Down.
Luna
* Heroes that create illusions (such as Spectre,
Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade) or bring other units into the fight (such as
Nature's Prophet,
Lone Druid,
Chen,
Enchantress and the aforementioned
Meepo and
Arc Warden) can cause Eclipse to strike the illusions/summons unintentionally. (However, in many cases Moon Glaives can resolve this issue and eliminate them before activating Eclipse).
Luna
* Luna's Moon Glaives allow her to clear Arc Warden's Tempest Double.
* Luna's short range and fast movement speed allow her to fight Arc Warden inside his Magnetic Field.
Lone Druid
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 2%)Luna
* Heroes that create illusions (such as Spectre,
Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Naga Siren,

Meepo and
Arc Warden) can cause Eclipse to strike the illusions/summons unintentionally. (However, in many cases Moon Glaives can resolve this issue and eliminate them before activating Eclipse).
Mirana
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 16%)Luna
* A couple of long-range heroes with excellent laning like Mirana,
Lina,
Necrophos,
Death Prophet. The key to success is sticking together and attacking Luna whenever she enters the range, without even giving Luna a chance to retaliate. Multiple long-range heroes is a reason to pick another hero.
Outworld Destroyer
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 6%)Luna
* Every hero that can withstand or prevent Eclipse at level 7: Juggernaut,
Riki,
Clockwerk,

* Every hero that can withstand or prevent Eclipse at level 7: Juggernaut,
Riki,

Ursa
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 13%)Luna
* All assassin-type carries in a one against one situation: Meepo,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Ursa.
Tinker
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Gyrocopter
* Any hero with a low HP pool is easy for Tinker to nuke down: Crystal Maiden,
Enchantress,
Gyrocopter,
Lion,
Riki,
Techies,
Terrorblade,
Necrophos,
Invoker.
Luna
* Tinker's March of the Machines and
Laser both destroy Luna's small health pool and make it hard for Luna to initiate with Eclipse (and making it hard to land glaives in Laser's case).
* Since Tinker typically buys Blink Dagger, Luna has a hard time catching him despite her high movement speed.
* Tinker can easily disable and nuke Luna down with Dagon or
Scythe of Vyse before she can use Lucent Beam or Eclipse.
Luna
* Luna can easily prevent Tinker from escaping with Boots of Travel or Rearm with
Lucent Beam.
* Luna can also quickly tear Tinker to shreds with Eclipse as soon as he jumps in with
Blink Dagger.
Lion
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 16%)Gyrocopter

[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 3%)Luna
* Heroes that create illusions (such as Spectre,

Phantom Lancer,
Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade) or bring other units into the fight (such as
Nature's Prophet,
Lone Druid,
Chen,
Enchantress and the aforementioned
Meepo and
Arc Warden) can cause Eclipse to strike the illusions/summons unintentionally. (However, in many cases Moon Glaives can resolve this issue and eliminate them before activating Eclipse).
Additional:
* Demonic Purge takes off Luna's superior mobility, removing the need for chasing her and allowing your team to reposition in team fights or escape when at low HP. If Shadow Demon has Aghanim's Sceptre it will also take away glaive bounces and extra damage from Luna's passive.
* Luna's illusions created by Disruption are very valuable with their Moon Glaives. These will effectively counter her pushing attempts and are painfully effective in team fights.
* Disruption can be used to save an ally from Eclipse.
Morphling
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 12%)Gyrocopter
* Heroes with high mobility will be able to avoid Gyrocopter's area attacks: Storm Spirit,
Morphling,

Tombstone,
Gyrocopter's
Homing Missile, and
Zeus's
Nimbus.
Slark
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 13%)Luna
* Shadow Dance prevents Luna from damaging Slark, and together with
Shadow Blade he can kite her or escape.
* Luna has no way to escape from Pounce's leash.
Additional:
* Luna's lack of mobility and escape abilities makes her easily gankable by Slark.
* Shadow Dance will avoid all the damage from Eclipse.
* For the same reasons, Slark is a good ally for Luna when they are in the same team.
Luna
* With Dust of Appearance, Luna will be able to use
Eclipse on invisible heroes. Be mindful that
Slark is exception because he'll be able to remove the debuff with
Dark Pact.
Bane
[wiki] rating: 0.2 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 5%)Gyrocopter

Mirana,
Monkey King,
Morphling,
Phantom Assassin,
Phantom Lancer,
Riki,
Shadow Fiend,
Slark,
Sniper,
Terrorblade,
Troll Warlord,
Weaver.
Luna
* It is almost impossible for Bane to use Fiend's Grip properly against Luna's allies due to the huge cast range of the Lucent Beam.
Additional:
* Luna's Lucent Beam can be used to disable Bane while he is channeling Fiend's Grip.
* Luna's Eclipse will often be able to kill Bane before he can even act.
Undying
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 7%)Gyrocopter
* Flak Cannon rips through Tombstone's zombies.
Additional:
* Flak Cannon enables Gyrocopter to clear the zombies easily.
Luna
* Luna has Moon Glaives and
Lunar Blessing to help her destroy Tombstone, and this becomes more effective if Luna is equipped with
Manta Style.
* Defending with Zombies from Tombstone against Luna is not a good idea because Eclipse will strike only Undying.
Visage
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 2%)Gyrocopter
* Heroes with cleave or multi-target attacks can quickly take on Familiars and reduce Visage's firepower like Gyrocopter,
Kunkka,
Magnus and
Medusa.
Luna
* Moon Glaives is effective at destroying Familiars and will remove one instance of Gravekeeper's Cloak upon each hit to Visage, leaving him susceptible to damage.
Magnus
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 6%)Luna
* If Luna can use Eclipse in anticipation, Magnus will be killed before he can even manages to cast
Reverse Polarity.
* Aghanim's Scepter upgraded
Eclipse is a very good counter-initiation tool against Magnus when he casts
Reverse Polarity, granted as long as Luna can cast it from safe distance.
Terrorblade
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 5%)Luna
* Heroes that create illusions (such as Spectre,
Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade) or bring other units into the fight (such as
Nature's Prophet,

[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 4%)Luna
* Lucent Beam can cancel Tether and Relocate.
* Moon Glaives and
Eclipse make short work of Io and its tethered ally.
Legion Commander
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 13%)Luna
* Provided Luna is able to cast it in time, Eclipse can help win a
Duel from Legion Commander.
* If Luna isn't the target, she can easily use Lucent Beam and Eclipse to win the fight for the ally.
Additional:
* A well-timed Eclipse before a Duel usually prevents Legion Commander from winning Duels, if Luna is the target.
* Meanwhile, when Luna is not a target, Eclipse and
Lucent Beam can also help an ally win a Duel against Legion Commander.
* However, skilled Legion Commander players will always have a Black King Bar or
Aghanim's Scepter handy since both abilities do not pierce through spell immunity.
Crystal Maiden
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 14%)Luna
* Lucent Beam allows Luna to easily cancel Freezing Field.
* Without Black King Bar protection,
Lucent Beam and
Eclipse can make a short work out of Crystal Maiden's abysmal health.
* Skilled Luna will always buy Dust of Appearance, allowing her team to have a vision on Crystal Maiden while invisible and during channeling Freezing Field.
Pugna
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 4%)Luna
* Life Drain will be always canceled by Lucent Beam if Pugna does not have
Black King Bar.
* Decrepify can be suicide against Luna due to Lucent Beam and Eclipse.
* Nether Ward is rather weak against Luna since she does not have abilities that cost a lot of mana.
Additional:
* Luna can shrug off most damage taken from Nether Ward as she only has two castable skills with average mana cost.
* Luna can deal constant damage to Pugna through the low-cooldown Lucent Beam and her right clicks.
* Lucent Beam's considerable range can reliably cancel Pugna's Life Drain.
* Luna is a common Black King Bar carrier, which totally nullifies Pugna's damage output.
* If Pugna uses Decrepify on himself to avoid Luna's right click, she can burst him down with Lucent Beam and Eclipse.
Winter Wyvern
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Luna
* Cold Embrace is no salvation against Lucent Beam and
Eclipse.
* Moon Glaives will not hit a hero affected by Winter's Curse, making it weak against allies, but strong versus enemies.
* Luna has better night vision provided by Lunar Blessing than Winter Wyvern when affected by Arctic Burn.
Additional:
* Cold Embrace is no salvation against Lucent Beam and
Eclipse.
* Moon Glaives will not hit a hero affected by Winter's Curse, making it weak against allies, but strong versus enemies.
* Luna has better night vision provided by Lunar Blessing than Winter Wyvern when affected by Arctic Burn.
Bounty Hunter
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 9%)Luna
* Even though Luna is the kind of hero that Bounty Hunter can handle due to Shadow Walk rendering him safe from Eclipse, smart Luna will always buy
Dust of Appearance, allowing her to provide vision on him to her team, and possibly, kill Bounty Hunter with
Eclipse.
Additional:
* Even though Luna is the kind of hero that Bounty Hunter can handle due to Shadow Walk rendering him safe from Eclipse, smart Luna will always buy
Dust of Appearance, allowing her to provide vision on him to her team, and possibly, kill Bounty Hunter with
Eclipse.
Enigma
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 4%)Luna
* Without Black King Bar and if not caught in it, Luna will be able to cancel Enigma's Black Hole from safe distance with her Lucent Beam.
* Moon Glaives combined with
Lunar Blessing can make a short work of Enigma's Eidolons.
* If used in anticipation, Eclipse will often kill Enigma before he even gets a chance to use Black Hole to disable Luna.
* Luna has stronger laning presence than Enigma thanks to her Moon Glaives and low mana cost of her abilities, diminishing Enigma's laning presence by a lot.
Underlord
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 8%)Luna
* Lunar Blessing gives allies bonus damage and armor required to endure against Atrophy Aura early on.
* Eclipse can be devastating for Underlord's team when they're grouped up for Dark Rift, it can also be used to intercept arrivals with Dark Rift. And Pit of Malice does not prevent Luna to use it.
* To make things even better, Aghanim's Scepter upgraded
Eclipse can finish off Underlord or any of his teammates escape attempts with Dark Rift if timed correctly.
Additional:
* Lunar Blessing gives allies bonus damage required to endure against Atrophy Aura early on.

Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,

Luna
* Moon Glaives and

* Luna can easily cancel Teleportation with her Lucent Beam.

Luna
* Enchantress has pitiful HP so Lucent Beam and Eclipse can kill her very quickly.
* Moon Glaives allows Luna to clear Enchantress' creeps very efficiently.

Death Prophet. The key to success is sticking together and attacking Luna whenever she enters the range, without even giving Luna a chance to retaliate. Multiple long-range heroes is a reason to pick another hero.
Luna
* Though Luna has a hard time laning against Necrophos, his

Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Ursa.

Dust of Appearance, providing vision on Riki to her allies and herself.

* A couple of nukers and disablers on the same lane can finish a squishy Luna efficiently despite a teammate's assistance: Sven +
Shadow Shaman.

* Heroes that relies on armor or other type of physical damage negation are easy for Gyrocopter to take down during the early game with his magical damage: Axe,
Dragon Knight,
Sven.

Open Wounds. In addition, Lifestealer is not good against illusions created by
Manta Style.
Meepo
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 1%)Luna
* Meepo can tank Eclipse because of his clones.
* Earthbind takes away Luna's mobility advantage.

* Homing Missile can catch and single out retreating Meepos, making them an easy kill.
Queen of Pain
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 9%)Gyrocopter
* Blink makes it hard for Gyrocopter to pin down Queen of Pain.
* Sonic Wave is very effective at ganking Gyrocopter in the early game.
Luna
* Aggressively blinking is not going to end well against Luna, because Queen of Pain will be an easy target for Lucent Beam &
Eclipse.
* Queen of Pain's HP is abysmal, so Luna can quickly kill Queen of Pain as soon as she initiates with Blink.
Phantom Lancer

* Phantom Lancer creates many illusions to tank Luna's Eclipse.
* Doppelganger can be used to dodge a number of Lucent Beams during Eclipse.

Call Down destroy Phantom Lancer's illusions very quickly.

About
This website was made to help you in pick stage of online game Dota 2. It calculates rating for each possible counterpicks based on tips from web-based database made up entirely of user contributions Dota 2 wiki.
You will get the list of recommended hero counters with a list of tips written by Dota 2 wiki contributors explaining why it's good against the particular hero. In comparison to other similar websites, which show only rating based on average hero winrate from dotabuff or similar service.
How to interpret this data
Take it with a bit of grain of salt, especially if the recommendation has a low rating (<= 1), some heroes
may win a lane in an early game but would lose in late game (and vice versa). That's why sometimes
you could hero names appearing as a counter and as being countered, as on image:
You can also add your own tips, update old data and fix mistakes by editing page on Dota 2 Wiki (it works like Wikipedia - anyone can contribute, you don't even need to register) these edits will appear on this website automatically (data is updated several times per week).
Right now there is no app/overlay that will detect picks automatically (like overwolf dota plus or become the gamer), instead, you can open web version in a steam in-game browser or use mobile version on your smartphone.
