Phantom Lancer
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 7%)Lycan
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 57% pickrate: 6%)Ursa
* Lycan's ultimate makes him immune to slows from Ursa's
Earthshock as well as allowing him to outmaneuver
Ursa during
Enrage. Lycan can also easily chase down
Ursa while shapeshifted, should
Ursa try to flee.
Beastmaster
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 4%)Ursa
* Primal Roar and the slow from Boars makes kiting Ursa very easy.
Abaddon
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 3%)Slardar
* Abaddon can cast Aphotic Shield on any of his allies to immediately dispel Corrosive Haze and/or the stun and the slow components of Slithereen Crush.
* All of Slardar's debuffs are also removed if Abaddon's Borrowed Time triggers.
Bane
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Ursa
* Bane's Enfeeble makes Ursa more susceptible to disables as it reduces Status Resistance.
* Bane can use Nightmare and
Fiend's Grip to lock down Ursa early game and in team fights, forcing Ursa to buy a Black King Bar and making him very vulnerable to being kited once his Black King Bar is down to 5 seconds.
* Overall, Bane's potent disables force Ursa to build more defensive items and play more defensively in general.
Oracle
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Slardar
* Fortune's End applies a basic dispel which can be used to dispel Corrosive Haze, or even Slardar's own Guardian Sprint.
* False Promise is able to dispel Corrosive Haze and Slithereen Crush stun/slow from any allies Oracle chooses to cast it on.
* Fate's Edict can also be cast on Slardar to prevent him from proccing his Bash of the Deep.
Storm Spirit
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 10%)Ursa
* Storm Spirit can steal Aegis of the Immortal during Roshan attempts through the Pit, because of his
Ball Lightning.
* Ursa has no way to catch a slippery Storm Spirit, as Earthshock's slow will do nothing to stop Storm Spirit from using Ball Lightning.
Brewmaster
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 2%)Ursa
* If Ursa uses Enrage Brewmaster can use Cyclone to render him harmless during his ultimate.
* Brewmaster has two spells to slow down Ursa, allowing his team to kite around him easily.
Windranger
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 16%)Ursa
* Windranger can avoid Ursa's primary source of damage, Fury Swipes, by simply using Windrun. The slow from
Earthshock is also rendered irrelevant by Windrun.
* Focus Fire and Windrun can be used to kite Ursa.
Additional:
* Ursa relies on the Blink-Earthshock combo to slow enemies to burst them, but Windranger can use Windrun to escape through Earthshock's duration.
* Windrun and
Focus Fire can easily allow Windranger to kite Ursa and do good amounts of damage in the process.
Lion
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 15%)Ursa
* Lion has two low cast point disables (Hex and
Earth Spike) to control Ursa before he buys a
Black King Bar.
* Hex is one of the few abilities that cannot be dispelled even with an
Aghanim's Scepter upgraded Enrage.
* Lion can control Ursa's low mana pool via Mana Drain.
Viper
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 7%)Ursa
* Nethertoxin breaks Fury Swipes, making Viper a decent counter to Ursa in a laning stage.
* Viper Strike is a strong, undispellable slow, making it much easier to kite Ursa for everyone.
Enchantress
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 2%)Ursa
* Enchant dispels Overpower.
* Enchant's slow can help kite Ursa in fights and also in lane.
* Enchantress can out harass Ursa in lane by using her long attack range and Untouchable, as well as out sustaining him with Nature's Attendants.
Doom
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 3%)Ursa
* Doom makes Ursa less disruptive, and it cannot be dispelled with Enrage upgraded with
Aghanim's Scepter.
* Aghanim's Scepter upgraded
Infernal Blade can break Fury Swipes, negating much of his damage output.
Puck
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 14%)Ursa
* Melee heroes that get kited easily have hard times dealing with Puck without any lockdowns, as Puck is one of the most mobile heroes. Heroes like Sven,
Lifestealer,
Ursa and
Alchemist may have problems to get to Puck without proper initiation items. They also lack reliable lockdowns, as their disables are easily avoidable for Puck, or are just a soft disable.
Sand King
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 10%)Ursa
* Heroes that rely on slows to get kills: Lifestealer,
Night Stalker,
Ursa,...
Chaos Knight
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 4%)Ursa
* Ursa struggles against illusion heroes like Chaos Knight and
Phantom Lancer.
Additional:
* Ursa cannot effectively fight against Phantasm's illusions with his single-target damage.
* Chaos Bolt's potentially long stun with Chaos Bolt gives Ursa little opportunity to Enrage.
Naga Siren
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 2%)Slardar
* Illusion heroes like the aforementioned Phantom Lancer or
Naga Siren, or heroes that tend to buy
Manta Style, like
Luna or
Juggernaut, will give Slardar a hard time, as his damage is single-targeted.
Bloodseeker
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 2%)Slardar
* Bloodseeker's
Rupture forces Slardar to stay still during fights, preventing Slardar from using Guardian sprint to move in and out of fights. This takes away the ability to initiate and re-initiate with Slithereen Crush's low cooldown. Due to the increased move speed from Guardian Sprint, Slardar can lose health at about 160% the rate of normal heroes while under
Rupture. Bloodseeker's
Thirst also gives him enough move speed so that he's one of the few heroes who can outrun or catch up to a Slardar during Guardian Sprint.
Omniknight
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 3%)Ursa
* Heroes who rely strongly on melee physical damage will fare badly against Omniknight's Guardian Angel: Sven,
Phantom Assassin,
Juggernaut,
Dragon Knight,
Lycan,
Ursa,
Troll Warlord
Earth Spirit
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 9%)Ursa
* Positioning-reliant heroes (Windranger,
Tidehunter,
Ursa...), since Earth Spirit can disrupt positioning with his Boulder Smash.
Disruptor
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Ursa
* Ursa struggles against heroes with strong (and especially undispellable) disables (Disruptor,
Puck,
Shadow Demon,
Outworld Destroyer and etc).
Grimstroke
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 8%)Ursa
* Heroes who rely heavily on melee attacks and lack early spell immunity are easily blocked and interrupted by Ink Swell: Lycan,
Ursa,
Troll Warlord.
Shadow Demon
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 3%)Ursa
* Ursa struggles against heroes with strong (and especially undispellable) disables (Disruptor,
Puck,
Shadow Demon,
Outworld Destroyer and etc).
Phantom Assassin
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 17%)Ursa
* Assuming they have not bought anti-evasion items, attack dependent heroes such as Viper,
Ursa or
Clinkz can be a minor threat for Phantom Assassin early in the game, and may even be completely dominated by her thanks to her evasion.
Outworld Destroyer
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 2%)Ursa
* Ursa struggles against heroes with strong (and especially undispellable) disables (Disruptor,
Puck,
Shadow Demon,
Outworld Destroyer and etc).
Slark
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 12%)Ursa
* Slark can detect early Roshan attempts due to Shadow Dance if he frequently checks the Pit.
* Enrage cannot restore attributes stolen by Essence Shift and will reduce his physical damage output.
* Even if Ursa initiates with Earthshock, Slark can Pounce away or use
Dark Pact after Ursa's initiation to avoid Fury Swipes' damage until Earthshock's slow is gone.
Slardar
* Slardar's level 25 talent makes
Corrosive Haze undispellable, thus providing his allies a vision to Slark.
Meepo
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 1%)Slardar
* Slardar does not do well against multiple targets, as his only way to damage multiple targets is Slithereen Crush.
* Meepo's Earthbind will root Slardar, making him unable to chase/escape for the time being. Also,
Poof's low cooldown and high damage can burst Slardar down rather quickly.
Slardar
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once: Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
Bristleback
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 7%)Ursa
* Bristleback's tankiness doesn't help him very much against Fury Swipes in long teamfights.
* With no escape mechanism and a slow movement speed, getting jumped on by Ursa usually spell a quick end for Bristleback in the early game.
Slardar
* Guardian Sprint allows Slardar to outrun Bristleback, even when slowed by Viscous Nasal Goo.
* Corrosive Haze's armor reduction makes Bristleback much less tanky.
Pudge
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 22%)Slardar
* Corrosive Haze lowers armor and reveals Pudge's location, making it hard to use Meat Hook on Slardar's teammates or Slardar himself.
* Because Corrosive Haze also reduces armor, it amplifies
Bash of the Deep's damage.
* Slithereen Crush interrupts Pudge during Dismember at close range.
* Guardian Sprint allows Slardar to avoid Meat Hook.
Additional:
* While Slardar has Guardian Sprint activated, Rot cannot slow him and
Meat Hook is easier to avoid.
* Slithereen Crush allows Slardar to interrupt Dismember at close range (when Slardar is not a target).
* Corrosive Haze reveals Pudge's location, making it very difficult for him to land hooks from the fog.
Ursa
* Low armor and lack of escape makes Pudge vulnerable to Ursa, specially when he gets his Blink Dagger.
* If Pudge lands a Meat Hook on Ursa, Ursa can simply face Pudge head on provided he can burst him down before any follow up disables.
* Enrage's Aghanim's Scepter upgrade allows Ursa to dispel Pudge's Dismember.
Huskar
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 2%)Slardar
* Corrosive Haze and
Bash of the Deep will make short work of Huskar's low armor, even if Slardar is alone.
Ursa
* Jumping on Ursa with Life Break is often suicide for Huskar, as he will be immediately bursted down with Fury Swipes.
Additional:
* Huskar likes fights with a long duration and is usually at low health, making him vulnerable against Ursa's physical damage.
* Jumping in with Life Break against Ursa is suicide, as Enrage, Overpower, and Fury Swipes will easily shred Huskar.
Alchemist
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 4%)Ursa
* Chemical Rage will rarely save Alchemist against Ursa's Fury Swipes.
* Enrage allows Ursa to both be a threat to Alchemist and avoid his over time damage.
Slardar
* Corrosive Haze followed by
Slithereen Crush takes advantage of Alchemist's main weakness, being physical damage before he has the change to improve his surviability with items.
* Bash of the Deep will deal lots of damage during the laning phase.
Additional:
* Alchemist has a low starting armor and a low agility growth, which translates to a low armor growth . And since it is very uncommon for Alchemist to get straight to Assault Cuirass, or
Shiva's Guard, Corrosive Haze makes him too vulnerable to physical damage, even with the hp regeneration of
Chemical Rage
Lifestealer
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 5%)Ursa
* Lifestealer's Feast will most likely not out-heal the damage from Fury Swipes and Overpower in the early to mid game.
Additional:
* Lifestealer can't fight Ursa in any stage of the game because of his high physical damage with Fury Swipes and
Overpower.
Slardar
* Heroes with high physical damage can damage Lifestealer more than he can heal: Bristleback,
Clinkz,
Luna,
Shadow Fiend,
Slardar
Tiny
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 7%)Ursa
* Due to Tiny's non-existent agility gain, high physical damage heroes are more effective against him (Clinkz,
Phantom Assassin,
Templar Assassin,
Ursa,
Wraith King etc).
Slardar
* Corrosive Haze helps counteract Tiny's bonus armor from Grow, as well as giving true sight, countering Shadow Blade as a common item on Tiny.
Shadow Fiend
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 19%)Ursa
* Heroes without escape mechanism: Shadow Fiend,
Alchemist
Additional:
* Earthshock prevents Shadow Fiend from escaping after Ursa used his
Blink Dagger to get on top of him.
* Overpower and
Fury Swipes allow Ursa to quickly kill Shadow Fiend.
* Enrage keeps Ursa alive in a manfight with Shadow Fiend and allows him to stay close, even if Shadow Fiend uses Requiem of Souls.
Slardar
* Shadow Fiend, a normal Shadow Blade builder often relies on its invisibility to escape fights. Corrosive Haze reveals Shadow Fiend and also weakens his already low armor.
Legion Commander
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 13%)Ursa
* Legion Commander is unlikely to win a
Duel against Ursa.
Additional:
* Enrage's instant cast time allows it to be used before Legion Commander initiates a Duel, causing Ursa to take almost no damage for a brief period of time.
* Fury Swipes can give Ursa the edge in Duels.
Slardar
* With armor items like Solar Crest or
Assault Cuirass combined with Bash of the Deep, Slardar can easily tank the
Duel, If not dueled himself, he can drop
Legion Commander's armor during duel and/or buff his teammate and save them, leaving her only the choice of dueling supports which can also be saved with fast Blink into Slithereen Crush.
Dragon Knight
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 2%)Ursa
* Fury swipes can tear Dragon knight down as it stacks infinitely.
Slardar
* Slardar can chase Dragon Knight down with
Guardian Sprint and stun him with both
Slithereen Crush and his passive
Bash of the Deep. He can also use
Corrosive Haze to whittle Dragon Knight's armor.
Void Spirit
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 10%)Slardar
* The brutal physical damage of Slithereen Crush and
Bash of the Deep can quickly remove Void Spirit's shield and stun him for a while.
* Corrosive Haze provides vision of Void Spirit while he is running away and
Guardian Sprint allows Slardar to quickly close the gap
Ursa
* Heroes with burst damage of their own won't be afraid to go toe to toe with Void Spirit, like Ursa,
Lifestealer, or
Axe.
Kunkka
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 4%)Ursa
* Ursa's massive physical damage can destroy Kunkka quickly.
* Enrage can be activated before being hit by Ghostship to prevent most of the damage.
* Earthshock slows Kunkka's movement speed. With no escape abilities, Kunkka is easy prey.
Medusa
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 2%)Slardar
* Medusa cares less than other heroes about armor reduction, since
Mana Shield blocks 70% of all damage without taking armor/magic resistance into consideration. This makes 60% of your Corrosive Haze ineffective until Medusa's mana is drained.
Slardar
* Other heroes who has armor and slow debuffs won't allow Medusa to disengage from combat: Tidehunter,
Bristleback,
Slardar.
Ursa
* Medusa's tankiness doesn't help her very much against Fury Swipes in long teamfights.
* With no escape mechanism and a slow movement speed, getting jumped on by Ursa usually spells a quick end for Medusa in the early game.
Additional:
* Ursa's status resistance from Enrage will ignore Medusa's gaze.
* Ursa can stack damage with Fury Swipes easily against her Mana Shield in a prolonged team match.
Lina
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 14%)Ursa
* Light Strike Array has a long delay, making her vulnerable for Ursa's burst.
* Enrage can protect Ursa against Lina's high magical burst.
Batrider
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 4%)Ursa
* Enrage with
Aghanim's Scepter can dispel Flaming Lasso.
Sniper
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 5%)Slardar
* Slardar can use Guardian Sprint with
Blink Dagger or
Shadow Blade to get close, and
Slithereen Crush will stun Sniper, making him vulnerable to Slardar's teammates.
* Corrosive Haze lowers Sniper's armor and makes Sniper's
Shadow Blade useless, easily killing him with a few attacks.
Axe
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 10%)Ursa
* Enrage reduces the damage from
Blade Mail and Counter Helix to a minimum, forcing Axe to play around Ursa's ultimate ability.
* Enrage and
Fury Swipes tear through Axe's low armor, even if he has relatively high health.
Silencer
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Ursa
* Silencer relies on preventing enemies from using abilities in teamfights with Arcane Curse, Last Word, and Global Silence. However, they are ineffective against Ursa since he relies more on items and attacks than abilities.
* Enrage reduces all damage taken, even Glaives of Wisdom's pure damage.
Timbersaw
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 7%)Ursa
* Timbersaw's physical survivability revolves around Reactive Armor, which is largely ignored by Fury Swipes due to the potentially large damage.
* Timbersaw's magical burst damage will not do much against Enrage, although he could easily use Timber Chain to escape, wasting the duration of it.
Phoenix
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 10%)Ursa
* Ursa can easily unleash a number of attacks in an incredibly short amount of time, easily destroying the Supernova in a couple of seconds regardless of Fire Spirits' debuff. His Enrage also dampens any damage Phoenix might toss at his direction, as well as remove any debuffs Phoenix may place on him.
Treant Protector
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 6%)Slardar
* Corrosive Haze will reveal Treant Protector even when he is under the effects of Nature's Guise.
Bounty Hunter
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 8%)Ursa
* Low mobility heroes: Heroes with no/little means of traveling fast have difficulty getting to/away from Bounty Hunter due to his slowing Jinada and hastening Track. Few examples of such heroes are: Crystal Maiden,
Sniper,
Ursa,
Witch Doctor, etc.
Slardar
* Corrosive Haze provides True Sight on its target, exposing Bounty Hunter's position regardless of Shadow Walk.
* Guardian Sprint gives a very high movement speed bonus, allowing him to chase Bounty Hunter even if Slardar is tracked.
Additional:
* Bounty Hunter's Shadow Walk is rendered useless with Corrosive Haze and makes Bounty Hunter an easy target for Slardar and his team.
Ursa
* Ursa with
Enrage
* Heroes that can remove the Track debuff with their skills:
* Abaddon with
Aphotic Shield and
Borrowed Time
* Huskar with
Life Break
* Juggernaut with
Blade Fury
* Legion Commander with
Press the Attack
* Lifestealer with
Rage and
Infest
* Naga Siren with
Mirror Image
* Omniknight with
Heavenly Grace
* Oracle with
Fortune's End and
False Promise
* Phantom Lancer with
Doppelganger
* Slark with
Dark Pact
* Ursa with
Enrage
* Weaver with
Time Lapse
* Tidehunter with
Kraken Shell when damage received reaches the threshold.
Clinkz
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 6%)Slardar
* Clinkz survivability depends entirely on Skeleton Walk. Corrosive Haze not only makes its invisibility useless, but also makes Clinkz even more vulnerable to physical damage.
Additional:
* Slardar can reveal Clinkz with Corrosive Haze and make him easy to kill, and his
Bash of the Deep also hits hard against Clinkz's naturally low health pool.
* Slardar's Guardian Sprint can catch up with Clinkz's Skeleton Walk.
* The stun and slow from Slardar's Slithereen Crush can hold Clinkz in place.
Monkey King
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 18%)Slardar
* Corrosive Haze grants vision of Monkey King, even when he is in the trees.
Underlord
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 8%)Ursa
* Provided Ursa can stack Fury Swipes reliably, Atrophy Aura won't do much against it.
* With Overpower, Fury Swipes, and Enrage Ursa could kill Underlord before the latter escapes with Dark Rift.
Additional:
* Fury Swipes damage is not reduced by Atrophy Aura, essentially bypassing Underlord's only natural defense.
* Enrage can quickly dispel the root of Pit of Malice.
Spectre
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 7%)Slardar
* Slardar's
Slithereen Crush allows him to stun Spectre and illusions, and
Corrosive Haze prevents her from juking with Spectral Dagger.
Mars
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 16%)Ursa
* Ursa is a special mention because despite his high physical damage attacking from the front won't achieve much against Mars but isn't a great target for Mars either since Ursa is very resistant to damage with Enrage so there isn't much that can be done to stop Ursa from going on your team.
Necrophos
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 4%)Ursa
* Enemies that possess high defenses through magic resistance, damage reduction, or high regeneration will make it difficult to whittle their health down to get to Reaper's Scythe's threshold. Such heroes include Bristleback (although only from behind),
Spectre,
Ursa, and
Dragon Knight.
Invoker
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 18%)Slardar
* Invoker's
Ghost Walk can be countered, however,
Invoker could also use abilities like
Tornado or
Ice Wall to escape by other means.
Crystal Maiden
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 13%)Slardar
* Crystal Maiden's already low armor and easily interruptible ultimate,
Freezing Field can make Slardar her worst nightmare.
Crystal Maiden also often builds
Glimmer Cape which is revealed by Corrosive Haze.
Venomancer
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Slardar
* Slardar can attack through Plague Wards and gaining
Bash of the Deep charges.
Mirana
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 16%)Slardar
* Heroes with spells that negate invisibility such as Bounty Hunter,
Zeus and
Slardar prevent her from saving her allies with Moonlight Shadow.
Warlock
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Ursa
* Ursa can shred {U:Warlock Golem}s in a few seconds with
Fury Swipes and
Overpower.
Visage
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Slardar
* Heroes with armor reducing abilities greatly hinder Visage's defense like Slardar and
Dazzle.
Nyx Assassin
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 11%)Slardar
* Nyx Assassin's
Vendetta can be revealed easily by Corrosive Haze
Additional:
* Corrosive Haze hinders Nyx Assassin's ganking attempts with Vendetta, as well as reducing his armor and make him very vulnerable due to his low health pool.
Terrorblade
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 6%)Slardar
* Terrorblade starts out with and gains a lot of armor from his agility growth. His illusions also make it difficult for Slardar to focus down the real Terrorblade.
Ursa
* Ursa deals lots of damage during the laning phase before Terrorblade has Sunder available.
* Enrage's damage reduction helps Ursa survive after Terrorblade has used Sunder.
Clockwerk
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 7%)Ursa
* Heroes who can provide constant vision inside the Roshan Pit can negate one of the strongest advantages of Ursa, which is the possibility of quickly killing Roshan at the early game, with minimum itemization needed (Clockwerk,
Beastmaster, etc).
Ursa
* Ursa's high physical burst damage makes him a very bad target for Power Cogs.
* Even with Blade Mail, Ursa's
Enrage will negate most of the reflected damage.
Tidehunter
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 7%)Slardar
* Tidehunter's
Kraken Shell dispels Corrosive Haze and Bash of the Deep's stun if enough damage is taken.
Anchor Smash and Kraken Shell's damage block also reduces Slardar's damage.
Ursa
* Fury Swipes will keep stacking on Tidehunter since it cannot be dispelled by Kraken Shell and its bonus damage cannot be reduced by Anchor Smash.
* Enrage dispels the slow from Gush, and if upgraded with
Aghanim's Scepter, can even dispel Ravage's stun.
Juggernaut
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 20%)Slardar
* Illusion heroes like the aforementioned Phantom Lancer or
Naga Siren, or heroes that tend to buy
Manta Style, like
Luna or
Juggernaut, will give Slardar a hard time, as his damage is single-targeted.
Ursa
* Fury Swipes is not protected by Blade Fury and allows Ursa to harass Juggernaut anytime.
* Enrage reduces the damage taken from Omnislash.
Nature's Prophet
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 4%)Ursa
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities: Sven,
Ursa,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
Slardar
* Heroes with detection: Bounty Hunter,
Disruptor,
Razor,
Slardar,
Spectre,
Spirit Breaker
Anti-Mage
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 14%)Ursa
* Ursa can be kited by Blink. Additionally, Anti-Mage can steal
Aegis of the Immortal during Roshan attempts through the Pit.
* Anti-Mage usually builds Manta Style, which can dispel Earthshock's slow.
* Anti-Mage can control Ursa's low mana pool via Mana Break.
* Anti-Mage can farm much more quickly than Ursa, allowing Anti-Mage to overpower Ursa once a significant farm advantage is established.
Slardar
* Slithereen Crush and
Bash of the Deep prevent Anti-Mage from using Blink, the latter even if Anti-Mage activates
Black King Bar.
* Corrosive Haze allows allies to take down Anti-Mage before he has a chance to Blink, and maintains vision over him even if he does Blink away.
Zeus
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 11%)Slardar
* Slardar has high priority on building moblity items such as Blink Dagger rather than tank items. Zeus can easily deal large amount of damage to him if not get caught out of position at first.
Ursa
* Enrage will make it very difficult to burst him down.
* Zeus has little armor, HP and mobility; Ursa's favorite kind of target.
Templar Assassin
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 5%)Ursa
* Heroes who can delivers a big chunk of damage in few hits will find themselves struggle against Templar Assassin's Refraction: Sven,
Phantom Assassin,
Ursa,
Wraith King,
Lifestealer
Additional:
* Templar Assassin usually places Psionic Traps inside the Roshan Pit (and can teleport herself to the traps with an
Aghanim's Scepter), preventing Ursa from killing Roshan without getting noticed by the enemy team.
Slardar
* Heroes who can provide True Sight are always credible threats: Slardar,
Bounty Hunter, especially
Zeus since his
Lightning Bolt provides True Sight without the need to detect her beforehand to apply the debuff. So even a late-coming Zeus can easily scout a large area to reveal her, and she cannot purge herself from his sight with the dispel talent.
Luna
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 4%)Slardar
* Illusion heroes like the aforementioned Phantom Lancer or
Naga Siren, or heroes that tend to buy
Manta Style, like
Luna or
Juggernaut, will give Slardar a hard time, as his damage is single-targeted.
Ursa
* All assassin-type carries in a one against one situation: Meepo,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Ursa.
Weaver
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 6%)Ursa
* Ursa has no inherent way of disabling a slippery Weaver and prevent him from Shukuchiing or
Time Lapseing away, as the slow from Earthshock is useless against Shukuchi's haste effect.
Additional:
* Earthshock's slow is ignored by Shukuchi.
* Ursa can be kited with Shukuchi and his burst damage will be negated with Time Lapse as long as Weaver survives it.
* The Swarm breaks Ursa's Blink Dagger, forcing him to deal with the beetles.
Slardar
* Weaver relies on Shukuchi to escape and kite enemy heroes. Slardar's Corrosive Haze lowers armor and reveals Weaver, who is already a very frail target.
* Weaver usually builds Linken's Sphere, Corrosive Haze can be used to "pop" the spell block of
Linken's Sphere, additionally the level 25 undispellable talent will prevent Weaver from removing Corrosive Haze with
Time Lapse, allowing allied heroes to use their abilities on Weaver.

* Guardian Sprint can dodge Weaver's bugs with the movement speed bonus.
Night Stalker
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 5%)Ursa
* Heroes with weaker mobility will struggle to keep up with Night Stalker: Gyrocopter,
Ursa,
Drow Ranger
Ursa
* Heroes with stronger lane presence that can threaten to kill him: Batrider,
Juggernaut,
Ursa,
Monkey King,
Razor.
Riki
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 10%)Ursa
* Riki can detect early Roshan attempts because of Cloak and Dagger if he frequently checks the Pit.
* Ursa cannot Enrage when in Smoke Screen (Black King Bar will help though).
* Even if Ursa gets vision over him, Riki can Blink Strike away or use Tricks of the Trade after Ursa's initiation to avoid all Fury Swipes damage until
Earthshock's slow is gone.
Additional:
* Riki can detect early Roshan attempts because of Cloak and Dagger if he frequently checks the Pit.
* Ursa cannot Enrage when caught in Smoke Screen and will miss his attacks (although Black King Bar will help with this issue).
* Even if Ursa gets vision over him and initiates with Earthshock, Riki can Blink Strike away or use
Tricks of the Trade after Ursa's initiation to avoid Fury Swipes' damage until Earthshock's slow is gone.
Slardar
* Corrosive Haze works much like Track, giving the enemy team vision over Riki. While it doesn't give a movement speed bonus, it instead melts Riki's armor and Slardar can use
Guardian Sprint to catch up to him.
Additional:
* Corrosive Haze makes Riki completely vulnerable to Slardar and his allies, as Riki has no easy way of dispelling it.
* Slardar's physical damage with Slithereen Crush and Bash of the Deep amplified by Corrosive Haze can easily kill Riki.
To start select enemy heroes in the field above. It's intended to be used with multiple heroes. The more enemy heroes you provide the better results you will get.
About
This website was made to help you in pick stage of online game Dota 2. It calculates rating for each possible counterpicks based on tips from web-based database made up entirely of user contributions Dota 2 wiki.
You will get the list of recommended hero counters with a list of tips written by Dota 2 wiki contributors explaining why it's good against the particular hero. In comparison to other similar websites, which show only rating based on average hero winrate from dotabuff or similar service.
How to interpret this data
Take it with a bit of grain of salt, especially if the recommendation has a low rating (<= 1), some heroes
may win a lane in an early game but would lose in late game (and vice versa). That's why sometimes
you could hero names appearing as a counter and as being countered, as on image:
You can also add your own tips, update old data and fix mistakes by editing page on Dota 2 Wiki (it works like Wikipedia - anyone can contribute, you don't even need to register) these edits will appear on this website automatically (data is updated several times per week).
Right now there is no app/overlay that will detect picks automatically (like overwolf dota plus or become the gamer), instead, you can open web version in a steam in-game browser or use mobile version on your smartphone.
