Tinker
* Rocket Flare can find Tinker if he blinks into the treeline, and Hookshot will prevent him from teleporting out.
* Battery Assault makes Tinker unable to Rearm by stunning him repeatedly.
Additional:
* Clockwerk can easily catch a split pushing Tinker with his Hookshot and prevent him from escaping with
Power Cogs and
Battery Assault.
* He can find a Tinker hiding in trees with his Rocket Flare.
* Clockwerk usually buys a Blade Mail, which does lots of damage to Tinker if he gets hit by his abilities (especially March of the Machines).
Storm Spirit

* Just like Batrider, his Ball Lightning can be used clear Nature's Prophet's treants and easily destroys Sprout.

* Ball Lightning disjoints projectile from Heat-Seeking Missile and damage from
March of the Machines.
* Electric Vortex prevents Tinker from teleporting away, and Static Remnant and Overload can easily burst him down.
Additional:
* He can easily catch Tinker in the trees with Ball Lightning and kill him with
Orchid Malevolence and his abilities, which deal both physical and magical damage, making them difficult for Tinker to itemize against.
Spectre
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 3%)Tinker
* His global teleportation with Boots of Travel and
Rearm is easily countered with Haunt, and Spectre can reach him anywhere on the map.
* He is squishy, and if alone Desolate will kill him very fast.
* Laser's blind isn't reliable, since Desolate cannot miss.
Nature's Prophet

* Spectre can pass through his trees with Spectral Dagger.
* Desolate's damage will melt him quickly, as he's alone most of the time.

* Doom can eats Nature's Prophet's treants with Devour and gains lots of gold.
* Doom usually buys Radiance or using his
Scorched Earth deals a lot of damage to Nature's Prophet if they stand close to his Treants, as well as killing all of his Treants and getting lots of gold.
* Doom can pick up several different abilities from neutral creeps using Devour, some of which can be annoying to Nature's Prophet:
* Mud Golem, Dark Troll Summoner, Harpy Stormcrafter, Satyr Mindstealer, Satyr Tormenter and etc. are good examples.
* Doom and a ministun from
Infernal Blade's prevents Nature's Prophet from escaping with Sprout and Teleportation.
Tinker
* Tinker is heavily reliant on casting his spells and Doom can disable all of his abilities and items. An
Aghanim's Scepter only makes it harder for Tinker to survive.
Additional:
* Tinker is heavily dependent on active abilities and Doom prevents him from using any of them.
Nyx Assassin
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 14%)Tinker
* His whole skillset acts like a counter to Tinker:
* Impale prevents Tinker from blinding Nyx Assassin or fighting back, while giving Nyx' allies time to catch up to Tinker's position.
* Mana Burn generally deals more damage to intelligence based heroes like Tinker
* Spiked Carapace can stun Tinker at a moment of Nyx Assassin's choosing if March of the Machines has been cast. It is also quite easy to time Spiked Carapace against Heat Seeking Missiles.
* Vendetta allows Nyx to approach Tinker in the trees or wait for him in common hiding spots and deal heavy damage to his low armor.
Additional:
* March of the Machines and
Heat-Seeking Missile allow easy Spiked Carapace stuns.
* As a fragile hero that relies on mana and intelligence items, Tinker is vulnerable to Mana Burn.
* Nyx Assassin's stuns can interrupt Rearm and leave Tinker helpless.

* Heroes with invisibility: (Riki,
Clinkz,
Nyx Assassin
Naga Siren
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 2%)Nature's Prophet
* Naga Siren is a natural split-pusher. With a Radiance equipped, she will easily out-push Nature's Prophet, farming his treants in the process.
* Ensnare prevents Teleportation. Even if he hid inside Sprout, Song of the Siren lasts long enough to prevent him from escaping.
Additional:
* Naga Siren is a natural split-pusher. With Rip Tide, she will easily out-push Nature's Prophet, farming his treants in the process.
* Ensnare prevents Teleportation. Even if he hides inside
Sprout, Song of the Siren lasts long enough to prevent him from escaping.
Tinker
* Illusion heroes, such as Naga Siren,
Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade will become strong against Tinker in the late game when Tinker's only area of effect damage, March of the Machines, ceases to kill illusions quickly. Without
Aghanim's Scepter Tinker is forced to defensively disarm heroes with Laser, leaving illusions free to deal physical damage which Tinker's low armor makes highly effective. In addition,
Mjollnir or
Battle Fury, two common pickups against illusion heroes, don't work well on Tinker at all.

* Pounce also stops Nature's Prophet's
Teleportation.
Tinker
* Pounce prevents Tinker from blinking away.
* Slark frequently builds Shadow Blade, which allows him to approach Tinker unnoticed. Since Tinker's farming usually covers a significant amount of area on the map, Sentry Wards may not be cost effective.
* Shadow Dance allows Slark to detect both common and unusual wards. Eliminating common ward causes Tinker trouble farming many lanes if he does not know who may be waiting to jump on him. Slark is also uniquely able to identify some of the less common wards used by Tinker, such as those placed on the cliffs at map edges which Tinker uses to give him vision over the trees he uses to hide in.
* Slark's extremely high move speed from Shadow Dance, potentially stacked with
Shadow Blade, allows him to easily follow Tinker between lanes, especially if Tinker has pushed the lanes out.
* Dark Pact dispels Laser's blind.

[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 18%)Tinker
* Low health spellcasters: Lina,
Witch Doctor,
Tinker,
Keeper of the Light, all rely heavily on their spells and are fragile heroes. They all also have avoidable spells, allowing Puck to get to them and quickly burst them down.
Nature's Prophet
* Mass summoning heroes: Broodmother,
Nature's Prophet and
Enigma are all able to mass-summon units, which Puck is able to clear with Illusory Orb and Waning Rift instantly, due to their summons having low health.

* Mana Break burns away his mana pool and deals bonus physical damage.
* Tinker's massive mana pool makes Mana Void deal large amount of damage, and can be used to cancel a
Boots of Travel teleport even through spell immunity.
* Blink gives Anti-Mage many options, like disjointing Heat Seeking Missiles or leaving March of Machines' area of effect. He can use Blink to wait out of sight for a split pushing Tinker or chase a blinking Tinker into trees.
* Tinker doesn't want any of his spells reflected back at him through Counterspell.
Kunkka

Black King Bar or
Linken's Sphere to prevent Kunkka from placing X on him, or
Eul's Scepter of Divinity to prevent the recall
Nature's Prophet
* Similarly, heroes with low cooldown teleports can be afraid to split push against X Marks the Spot, such as Tinker and

Underlord
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 8%)Nature's Prophet
* Firestorm quickly kills all the treants and increases the
Atrophy Aura passive.
* Pit of Malice can stop Teleportation channeling.
* Atrophy Aura greatly reduces Nature's Prophet's damage and he has no other ways of dealing damage.
* Dark Rift can counter split-pushing, which is something that Nature's Prophet relies a lot, and Nature's Prophet has very little solutions to intercept
Dark Rift.

[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 1%)Nature's Prophet
* Astral Spirit can give Elder Titan a lot of damage and movement speed if Nature's Prophet stands close to his treants.
* Not only Echo Stomp can also prevent Nature's Prophet to escape Teleportation, but also, Elder Titan can also use
Astral Spirit to bypass Sprout and use its own
Echo Stomp.

* Familiars can fly over the trees created by Sprout. They can also use Stone Form when the Prophet is trying to use Teleportation.
Additional:
* Nature's Prophet has no natural method of dealing with Gravekeeper's Cloak and Familiars.
* Familiar's low base attack time can chip away Nature Prophet's health.
* Familiar's Stone Form destroys trees created by Sprout.
* Familiars can scout woods and foggy areas where Nature's Prophet is trying to use Teleportation.
Sand King
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 10%)Nature's Prophet
* Sand King has many tools to deal with Nature's Prophet's treants.
* Sand King also can interrupt Teleportation with Burrowstrike.

* Crypt Swarm helps clear treant pushes.
* Silence prevents Nature's Prophet from using Sprout or Teleportation.

* The above interaction tends to ensure that skirmishes are heavily populated with units, thereby buffing Soul Rip
Earth Spirit
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Tinker
* Tinker is an easy target for Earth Spirit to initiate on. He likes to split push lanes once he acquieres Boots of Travel and Earth Spirit can jump him with his Rolling Boulder and disable him to buy enough time for his teammates to come and assist Earth Spirit.
* The huge range of Stone Remnant and Rolling Boulder enables Earth Spirit to stop Tinker from teleporting to his fountain since Tinker tends to buy Blink Dagger most of the time to escape.
Dazzle
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 5%)Tinker
* Shadow Wave provides good sustain against Tinker's spammable abilities.
* Shallow Grave can stop Tinker from bursting down a target.

Additional:
* Zeus can easily reveal Tinker's location in the trees with Thundergod's wrath.
* When Zeus has an Aghanim's Scepter, he can use his

Lightning Bolt to interrupt Tinker's
Boots of Travel channelling and cancel Tinker's

Global Silence will render him largely useless.
* Arcane Curse effectively prevents Tinker from casting spells during its duration, as he will otherwise suffer heavy damage.
* Glaives of Wisdom deal pure damage, which make quick work of fragile heroes like Tinker.

Tidehunter
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 9%)Nature's Prophet
* Most summons and illusions can barely hurt Tidehunter at all, after their attacks get reduced by Anchor Smash and blocked by Kraken Shell: Nature's Prophet,
Enigma
* Also Ravage's large area of effect and damage can easily damage all those units at once, or just straight up clear them.
Phantom Lancer
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Tinker
* Illusion heroes, such as Naga Siren,
Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,

Timbersaw
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 7%)Nature's Prophet
* All three of Timbersaw’s spells give him an easy way out of Sprout, and can also destroy nearby trees so Prophet can’t spawn Treants.
* If Prophet tries to escape with a self Sprout/Teleport, Timbersaw can easily cut down any and all trees to get to him and deal increased Whirling Death damage as well. Chakram heavily discourages teleports.
* Timbersaw is quite well suited to clearing massive waves of Treants almost instantly with all of his AoE pure damage spells, giving immense amounts of farm. In addition, the Treants can max out Reactive Armor quite quickly.
* Prophet’s usual heavy autoattack build doesn’t do much against Reactive Armor.
Additional:
* Timbersaw can easily cut down trees from Sprout, making it very difficult for Nature's Prophet to teleport away or trap enemies.
* Timbersaw's abilities quickly clear out treants.
* Reactive Armor negates most of the damage of Nature's Prophet's treants, and Timbersaw can often allow himself to be attacked in order to heal himself.
Tinker
* Timbersaw's ability to destroy trees can be a serious problem for some heroes that use them, as either a way of enhancing their spells like Treant Protector, or heroes that tend to hide inside of them like
Tinker and
Monkey King.
Tinker
* All Tinker's damage is magic/pure and completely ignores Timbersaw's Reactive Armor.
* Timbersaw very rarely builds Black King Bar, making him very vulnerable if Tinker builds
Scythe of Vyse.
Shadow Demon
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 2%)Tinker
* Heroes that can gain vision over trees to catch Tinker: Invoker,
Shadow Demon,

* Nature's Prophet's low damage is unlikely to hurt Axe until the very late game.
* Nature's Prophet's low mobility makes him very easy for Axe to chase down or initiate on, especially when affected by Battle Hunger.
Brewmaster
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 1%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes who produce many summons will have a hard time against Storm's Dispel Magic during teamfight: Broodmother,

* Heroes with summons can find their summons eliminated easily by Lina, like Broodmother,
Nature's Prophet, and
Chen.
Additional:
* Lina can easily prevent Nature's Prophet Teleportation escape attempts with Light Strike Array.
* Lina's Dragon Slave and
Light Strike Array can kill Nature's Prophet's treants and grant her lot of farm.
* Nature's Prophet doesn't like buying Black King Bar, which is only item that can help him against Lina.
Alchemist
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 7%)Nature's Prophet
* Acid Spray and Greevil's Greed will quickly destroy pushes with treants.
Nature's Prophet
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities: Sven,
Ursa,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
Huskar
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Nature's Prophet
* Sprout will not protect Nature's Prophet from Huskar if he has already locked on with Life Break.
* Even a farmed Nature's Prophet is usually not durable enough to fight Huskar alone.
Tinker
* Heroes who rely on physical damage will suffer from Laser: Phantom Assassin,
Wraith King,
Huskar.
Jakiro
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 10%)Nature's Prophet
* Jakiro's Macropyre can help him to escape from Sprout and can disrupt Nature's Prophet's jungling.
* Jakiro can disrupt Nature's Prophet's escape attempt with Teleportation with Ice Path.
Additional:
* Jakiro's skill arsenal can ruin Nature's Prophet's gameplay: Dual Breath and Liquid Fire can clear treants from Nature's Call while simultaneously slowing Nature's Prophet, Ice Path can disrupt Nature's Prophet's escaping attempt with
Teleportation and Macropyre can not only clear treants from
Nature's Call, but also can free Jakiro from
Sprout.
Tinker
* Heroes with good counter-push abilities to clear creep waves can hinder Jakiro's early pushing ability: Death Prophet,
Sniper,
Tinker,
Windranger.
Earthshaker
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 15%)Nature's Prophet
* Treants increase Echo Slam's damage.
* Earthshaker's AoE stuns can hit Nature's Prophet through Sprout, without having direct line of sight, in order to interrupt
Teleportation.
Additional:
* Echo Slam can do a lot of damage if Nature's Prophet stands close to his treants.
Tinker
* Tinker's
March of the Machines will disable
Blink Dagger over a large area.
Luna
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 4%)Tinker
* Luna can easily prevent Tinker from escaping with Boots of Travel or Rearm with
Lucent Beam.
* Luna can also quickly tear Tinker to shreds with Eclipse as soon as he jumps in with
Blink Dagger.
Nature's Prophet
* Moon Glaives and
Lunar Blessing help Luna to tear off Nature's Prophet's treants.
* Luna can easily cancel Teleportation with her Lucent Beam.
Tinker
* Tinker's March of the Machines and
Laser both destroy Luna's small health pool and make it hard for Luna to initiate with Eclipse (and making it hard to land glaives in Laser's case).
* Since Tinker typically buys Blink Dagger, Luna has a hard time catching him despite her high movement speed.
* Tinker can easily disable and nuke Luna down with Dagon or
Scythe of Vyse before she can use Lucent Beam or Eclipse.
Nature's Prophet
* Heroes that create illusions (such as Spectre,
Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade) or bring other units into the fight (such as
Nature's Prophet,
Lone Druid,
Chen,
Enchantress and the aforementioned
Meepo and
Arc Warden) can cause Eclipse to strike the illusions/summons unintentionally. (However, in many cases Moon Glaives can resolve this issue and eliminate them before activating Eclipse).
Lifestealer
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 5%)Tinker
* Rage will dispel Laser's blind and turns him spell immune for the duration so Tinker cannot damage him.
* Feast will quickly bring down Tinker due to being so fragile.
Additional:
* Lifestealer's Rage makes him immune to all of Tinker's damage and debuffs.
* Lifestealer can infest any mobile hero (teams usually pick one against Tinker), which ensures that Tinker will die if he is caught.
Nature's Prophet
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities: Sven,
Ursa,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
Pudge
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 19%)Tinker
* He can Meat Hook a Tinker hiding in the trees and follow it up with
Dismember and
Rot for an easy solo kill, as Tinker doesn't tend to buy survivability items.
* His innate magic resistance and huge health pool from Flesh Heap makes it hard for Tinker to deal serious damage to Pudge.
Additional:
* Meat Hook can used to pull Tinker while he is hiding in the trees, and a follow up with Dismember and Rot leads to an easy solo kill, as Tinker doesn't buy many survivability items.
* Flesh Heap makes it hard for Tinker to deal serious damage.
Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with many summons or illusions are much harder to catch with Meat Hook: Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Lancer,
Chen.
Phantom Assassin
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 15%)Nature's Prophet
* Nature's Prophet's low mobility and health pool allows Phantom Assassin to destroy him in the early game.
* Phantom Strike allows Phantom Assassin to jump in and out of Sprout, provided she has vision.
Tinker
* Heroes who rely on physical damage will suffer from Laser: Phantom Assassin,
Wraith King,
Huskar.
Additional:
* The blind from Laser can render Phantom Assassin useless if she is not protected by
Black King Bar.
* Tinker is a natural Scythe of Vyse carrier and can permanently disable Phantom Assassin, not giving her chance to activate
Black King Bar if she has it.
Faceless Void
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 41% pickrate: 4%)Tinker
* If Tinker can stay outside of Chronosphere, Laser can cause Faceless Void to miss all his attacks.
* Faceless Void has low health and strongly relies on Time Walk's healing factor to remain alive. Getting caught by Tinker with
Scythe of Vyse will almost always spell a quick end for Void.
* Rearm ignores Time Dilation completely.
Drow Ranger
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 5%)Tinker
* Laser applies a blind debuff, making Drow Ranger miss her high damage attacks.
* Heat-Seeking Missile lets Tinker out-range Drow Ranger and hit her in the backline of a teamfight.
Lich
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 11%)Nature's Prophet
* His treants can prevent Chain Frost from jumping to Nature's Prophet or his allies.
Additional:
* Chain Frost can bounce to the treants that Nature's Prophet summons.
* Nature's Prophet's Sprout can be used to isolate and burst down the squishy Lich.
Weaver
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 8%)Nature's Prophet
* Sprout with True Sight items like (Necronomicon 3,
Sentry Ward or a
Gem of True Sight) allowing to trap Weaver in lane and Weaver doesn't buy
Quelling Blade or until he uses
Time Lapse.
* The Swarm beetles can be destroyed with Nature's Prophet's treants or
Necronomicon.
* Nature's Prophet allows to use Purge on
Necronomicon 3 can be used to pop his spell block following up with items like (
Nullifier,
Scythe of Vyse or
Bloodthorn) or Wrath of Nature.
Venomancer
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 5%)Nature's Prophet
* Teleportation allows Natures Prophet to save himself from the damage over time of Venomous Gale,
Poison Sting and
Poison Nova.
* Plague Wards can be destroyed with Nature's Prophet's treants or
Necronomicon.
Bloodseeker
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 4%)Tinker
* Laser can be very effective against Bloodrage as the damage will be amplified while the blind prevents Bloodseeker from landing hits.
* Tinker is a natural Boots of Travel carrier and Rearm guarantees him escape from Rupture.
Additional:
* Laser blinds Bloodseeker, preventing him from getting last hits and denies during the laning stage and preventing him from finishing off enemies.
* Tinker always buys Boots of Travel, helping him escape Bloodseeker's early ganks.
* Tinker's heavy magical damage will burst down Bloodseeker during the early to mid game, as he has little health.
Enchantress
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 40% pickrate: 1%)Tinker
* Any hero with a low HP pool is easy for Tinker to nuke down: Crystal Maiden,
Enchantress,
Gyrocopter,

Nature's Prophet can have their minions soak up most of your Paralyzing Cask.
Viper
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 5%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes who do not have nor rely on passive abilities make Nethertoxin much less effective: Clinkz,
Pugna,
Nature's Prophet,
Dark Seer,
Lycan,
Tusk
Grimstroke
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 12%)Tinker
* Heroes with powerful spammable abilities will prove problematic for Grimstroke as Ink Swell does not protect him from them: Zeus,
Skywrath Mage,
Tinker,
Lina
Gyrocopter
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 2%)Tinker
* Any hero with a low HP pool is easy for Tinker to nuke down: Crystal Maiden,

Lion,
Riki,
Techies,
Terrorblade,

Sniper
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 6%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with high mobility can approach Sniper: Anti-Mage,
Earth Spirit,
Io,
Nature's Prophet,
Pangolier,
Puck,
Queen of Pain and most notably
Riki.
Techies
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 7%)Tinker
* A common playstyle among Tinkers is to teleport to a lane creep using Boots of Travel and immediately blink into the trees to cast
March of the Machines. If Techies can predict where said Tinker would blink after teleporting, he could place strategic Proximity Mines or even Remote Mines in those places. Stasis Traps also prevent Tinker from blinking or teleporting away.
Nature's Prophet
* Equipped with Necronomicon 3,
Sentry Ward or a
Gem of True Sight, Nature's Prophet can use Teleportation to position himself outside the reach of Techies'
Remote Mines to clear them.
* Treants are useful in clearing Land Mines and
Remote Mines.
Tinker
* Any hero with a low HP pool is easy for Tinker to nuke down: Crystal Maiden,
Enchantress,
Gyrocopter,
Lion,
Riki,
Techies,
Terrorblade,

Riki,
Techies,
Terrorblade,
Necrophos,

Viper,
Skywrath Mage,
Lion,
Lina,
Venomancer.
Lion

* Any hero with a low HP pool is easy for Tinker to nuke down: Crystal Maiden,
Enchantress,
Gyrocopter,
Lion,
Riki,
Techies,
Terrorblade,
Necrophos,
Invoker.
Monkey King
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 17%)Nature's Prophet
* Sprout will not protect Nature's Prophet from Tree Dance.
* Boundless Strike will interrupt attempts at Teleportation, and can reach Nature's Prophet inside the tree line.
Nature's Prophet
* Nature's Prophet's treants can destroy trees while Monkey King is standing on Tree Dance.
Tinker
* Heroes with wide AoE abilities will reveal Monkey King through Mischief: Necrophos,
Phoenix,
Alchemist,
Earthshaker,
Razor,
Tinker,
Leshrac,
Queen of Pain
Ursa
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 16%)Nature's Prophet
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities: Sven,
Ursa,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
Treant Protector
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with the capability of removing or destroying trees greatly hinders the effectiveness of Treant Protector's abilities: Batrider,
Nature's Prophet,
Lina,
Enigma,
Mars
Additional:
* Nature's Prophet's treants can destroy trees to reveal Treant Protector is hiding on.
Bane
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with illusions and summons can swarm Bane, who has no area abilities: Broodmother,
Chaos Knight,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Lancer,
Terrorblade
Mirana
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 16%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with summons or illusions makes Sacred Arrow harder to land: Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Nature's Prophet.
Wraith King
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 18%)Tinker
* Heroes who rely on physical damage will suffer from Laser: Phantom Assassin,
Wraith King,
Huskar.
Outworld Destroyer
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 17%)Tinker
* Tinker's
Laser is useful against Outworld Devourer, as the blind prevents him from landing Arcane Orbs.
Magnus
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 4%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with cleave damage: Sven,
Magnus,
Kunkka
Tinker
* Tinker can break Magnus's Blink Dagger using March of the Machines and
Heat-Seeking Missile, therefore delaying any initiation or making Magnus use Skewer or
Force Staff to initiate. Tinker usually gets his own Blink Dagger as well, which makes him harder to lock down unless Magnus commits Reverse Polarity only for Tinker.
Terrorblade
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 4%)Tinker
Tinker
* Tinker can single-handedly stop Terrorblade's early-push and quickly clear his illusions with Laser (especially with Aghanim's Scepter) and March of Machines.
* Tinker has perfect tools to reveal Terrorblade from his illusions as well as to burst him down if he is low-health before he will be able Sunder.
Additional:
* An Aghanim's Scepter upgraded
Laser allows Tinker to blind Terrorblade and illusions.
* Tinker can also clear Terrorblade's illusions and stall his pushing attempts with March of the Machines .
Chaos Knight
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 3%)Tinker
Tinker
* With Aghanim's Scepter, Tinker's Laser completely stops Chaos Knight's damage, forcing him to buy either a Black King Bar for his own survivability while leaving his illusions still vulnerable, or a Monkey King Bar leaving him still vulnerable to Tinker's nukes, though improving his damage.
* Tinker rarely finds himself in the middle of a fight, which is where Chaos Knight typically thrives, and even in the rare cases of being so, at level 3 Tinker's constant rearm and blink away can kite and dodge Chaos Knight's spells reliably, so Chaos Knight has very little catch against Tinker's mobility. This gives Tinker impunity to create more chaos in a teamfight than Chaos Knight can control, laying down the field with March of the Machines and constantly being hit by rockets and lasers.
Additional:
* Tinker's Aghanim's Scepter upgraded Laser can blind him and all of his Phantasm illusions.
Winter Wyvern
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Nature's Prophet
* Broodmother,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Lancer by their nature offer very good target for Splinter Blast and Winter's Curse.
Tinker
* All of his damage is magical and pure, which makes Cold Embrace a good setup for his nukes.
* Winter's Curse is very hard to cast on Tinker because he usually stays in the back-lines in team-fights. In turn, Tinker has mediocre attack damage and will contribute very little when he is cursed to attack an ally. He can also save his ally under Winter's Curse effect with Ethereal Blade.
Sven
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 43% pickrate: 1%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with cleave damage: Sven,
Magnus,
Kunkka
Nature's Prophet
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities: Sven,
Ursa,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
Shadow Fiend
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 18%)Nature's Prophet
* Shadow Fiend can easily farm his treants and get easy Necromastery Stacks.
* If Shadow Fiend buys Boots of Travel and
Shadow Blade, he can counteract Nature's Prophet's split-push.
Tinker
* During the laning stage Laser will reduce Shadow Fiend's last hits, preventing him from getting Necromastery souls.
* Shadow Fiend has low health and is vulnerable to Tinker's high magic burst.
Additional:
* The blind from Laser prevents Shadow Fiend from attacking for its duration, potentially preventing him from getting a kill.
* Scythe of Vyse can be used to prevent Shadow Fiend from casting Requiem of Souls.
* A combination of Tinker's abilities and his items (like the Dagon 5 and
Ethereal Blade combo) can kill Shadow Fiend quickly.
Mars
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 15%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes who lack burst damage will have a hard time against Mars: Phantom Lancer,
Nature's Prophet,
Lich.
Tinker
* Heroes with high magical or pure damage will bypass Bulwark: Timbersaw,
Dark Willow,
Enigma,
Invoker,
Pugna,
Skywrath Mage,
Tinker,
Zeus,
Oracle.
Lone Druid
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 1%)Nature's Prophet
* Once caught in Bear's Entangle, Nature's Prophet cannot escape with Teleportation.
Tinker
* Laser blinds Lone Druid, making his attacks miss. Furthermore, a Tinker with Aghanim's Scepter is sure to blind both Lone Druid and his bear, negating his ability to root or deal physical damage.
Invoker
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 16%)Tinker
* Heroes that can gain vision over trees to catch Tinker: Invoker,
Shadow Demon,
Batrider
Additional:
* Tinker is relatively helpless against Invoker, as his Rearm and
Boots of Travel can be easily interrupted by Invoker's long range disables, even if he blinks away.
Tinker
* Any hero with a low HP pool is easy for Tinker to nuke down: Crystal Maiden,
Enchantress,
Gyrocopter,
Lion,
Riki,
Techies,
Terrorblade,
Necrophos,
Invoker.
Riki
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 15%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with invisibility: (Riki,
Clinkz,
Nyx Assassin
Tinker
* Any hero with a low HP pool is easy for Tinker to nuke down: Crystal Maiden,
Enchantress,
Gyrocopter,
Lion,
Riki,
Techies,
Terrorblade,
Necrophos,
Invoker.
Clinkz
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 5%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with invisibility: (Riki,
Clinkz,
Nyx Assassin
Additional:
* Nature's Prophet is often by himself. Clinkz can use invisibility to hunt him down and kill him, although a Quelling Blade may be needed to cut through his Sprout. Orchid Malevolence may also be needed if 3-4 seconds are not enough time to kill him, as he can teleport away.
* Clinkz can match Nature's Prophet's ability to split push.
Tinker
* Heroes with high armor like Dragon Knight, or with abilities to cause attacks to miss like
Phantom Assassin,
Riki and
Tinker will be hard to deal with, as Clinkz relies almost entirely on physical attacks.
Razor
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 4%)Nature's Prophet
* Heroes with detection: Bounty Hunter,
Disruptor,
Razor,
Slardar,
Spectre,
Spirit Breaker
Tinker
* Heroes who rely on abilities to deal damage (e.g. Timbersaw,
Tinker) can fight a Razor even after Static Link.

About
This website was made to help you in pick stage of online game Dota 2. It calculates rating for each possible counterpicks based on tips from web-based database made up entirely of user contributions Dota 2 wiki.
You will get the list of recommended hero counters with a list of tips written by Dota 2 wiki contributors explaining why it's good against the particular hero. In comparison to other similar websites, which show only rating based on average hero winrate from dotabuff or similar service.
How to interpret this data
Take it with a bit of grain of salt, especially if the recommendation has a low rating (<= 1), some heroes
may win a lane in an early game but would lose in late game (and vice versa). That's why sometimes
you could hero names appearing as a counter and as being countered, as on image:
You can also add your own tips, update old data and fix mistakes by editing page on Dota 2 Wiki (it works like Wikipedia - anyone can contribute, you don't even need to register) these edits will appear on this website automatically (data is updated several times per week).
Right now there is no app/overlay that will detect picks automatically (like overwolf dota plus or become the gamer), instead, you can open web version in a steam in-game browser or use mobile version on your smartphone.

Nature's Prophet
* Spirit Breaker can chase Nature's Prophet from anywhere on the map with
Charge of Darkness, making it hard for Nature's Prophet to split-push.
