Viper
[wiki] rating: 2.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 6%)Bloodseeker
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 2%)Meepo
* Every Meepo clone adds to Thirst's bonuses.
* Bloodseeker can chase down retreating clones when Meepo tries to cycle weaker clones away from combat.
Zeus
* As a spellcaster, silences will nullify him entirely. Some notable examples are Death Prophet,
Drow Ranger,
Bloodseeker,
Disruptor and many others.
* Doom, as usual, fits this description nicely.
Pudge
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 21%)Meepo
* Because only one clone needs to be killed in order to kill Meepo, heroes that excel at singling out enemies can also be a detriment to him, such as Batrider,
Beastmaster,
Pudge and
Clockwerk.
Zeus
* Meat Hook's high range allows Pudge's team to drag Zeus in the middle of the fight and abuse his frailty.
* Flesh Heap's health and magic resistance bonus makes Pudge exceptionally resistant to Zeus' nukes. In later stages of the game, Zeus is usually unable to seriously damage Pudge at all. Even Static Field, which deals damage based on a percentage of the enemy's health, won't be doing much.
* Even if Zeus buys a Black King Bar,
Meat Hook and
Dismember still disable him for a long time, usually causing Zeus' quick death.
* Zeus is vulnerable to early ganks, which Pudge excels at.
Additional:
* Zeus likes to stay far back in fights, dealing his damage uninterrupted, but once he gets hooked into the fight, he usually dies very quickly.
* Pudge's high strength from Flesh Heap make it very hard for Zeus to burst him down.
* Zeus' low health pool makes him very vulnerable to the damage from Meat Hook, Rot and Dismember.
Kunkka
[wiki] rating: 1.6 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 4%)Zeus
* Heroes with long range abilities are also able to touch Zeus, such as Clockwerk,
Kunkka,
Puck,
Skywrath Mage,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk and others.
Meepo
* X Marks the Spot is good to prevent a single meepo from escaping from a deadly situation.
* Tidebringer, Torrent and Ghostship destroys Meepo's clones.
Additional:
* Tidebringer's cleave damage can wear down Meepo's clones quickly. It can also give Meepo problems in the lane, due to his melee range and initially low health pool.
* Ghostship and
Torrent can effectively disable Meepo while dealing heavy damage. If
Aghanim's Scepter is purchased, Ghostship can also drag the Meepo clones out of position and set up a teammate's follow-up abilities.
* X Marks the Spot prevents attempts to escape using Poof.
Puck
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 15%)Meepo
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
Zeus
* Heroes with long range abilities are also able to touch Zeus, such as Clockwerk,
Kunkka,
Puck,
Skywrath Mage,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk and others.
Bane
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Low-health, normally mobile carries with a lot of damage are vulnerable to Bane's nukes and disables: Anti-Mage,
Clinkz,
Drow Ranger,
Faceless Void,
Gyrocopter,
Juggernaut,
Luna,
Meepo,
Mirana,
Monkey King,
Morphling,
Phantom Assassin,
Phantom Lancer,
Riki,
Shadow Fiend,
Slark,
Sniper,
Terrorblade,
Troll Warlord,
Weaver.
Zeus
* Heroes that wish to disrupt fights with spell combos or big ultimates are vulnerable to the long stun of Fiend's Grip: Disruptor,
Death Prophet,
Enigma,
Faceless Void,
Invoker,
Lich,
Magnus,
Mars,
Medusa,
Outworld Destroyer,
Phoenix,
Puck,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Fiend,
Treant Protector,
Underlord,
Winter Wyvern,
Witch Doctor,
Zeus.
Clockwerk
[wiki] rating: 1.2 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 7%)Meepo
* Because only one clone needs to be killed in order to kill Meepo, heroes that excel at singling out enemies can also be a detriment to him, such as Batrider,
Beastmaster,
Pudge and
Clockwerk.
Zeus
* Heroes with long range abilities are also able to touch Zeus, such as Clockwerk,
Kunkka,
Puck,
Skywrath Mage,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk and others.
Dark Willow
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 6%)Meepo
* Casting Bramble Maze on top of Meepo guarantees a root, as it is nearly impossible to leave the thorns with all of Meepo's clones.
* Terrorize and Cursed Crown offer great disables against the grouped Meepos and can prevent them from using Poof to escape.
Dark Seer
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 3%)Meepo
* Dark Seer can take great advantage of Divided We Stand by putting an Ion Shell on a clone in order to harass them effectively.
* Vacuum can take a single Meepo and disable them for him and his teammates to take out.
Warlock
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Fatal Bonds links the Meepos together.
Venomancer
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Aggressively Poofing and Earthbinding is not going to end well against Venomancer, as he will be an easy target for Poison Nova.
* Venomancer constant slows greatly reduce Meepo's mobility.
Elder Titan
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 1%)Meepo
* Meepo lacks the disengages to escape a well-timed Echo Stomp, in particular if Elder Titan is his current target.
* Clones are counted as heroes, increasing massively the power of Astral Spirit's buffs, including Aghanim's Scepter's spell immunity buff.
* Meepo relies heavily on high agility and his mediocre strength gain makes him a very prized target for Natural Order.
* Meepo and his clones like to group up to hunt and kill in teamfights or ganks and can be easily disabled together with Echo Stomp.
Additional:
* Echo Stomp can completely disable multiple Meepos for 5 seconds.
* Astral Spirit will affect Meepo clones, as they don’t count as illusions. Elder Titan can receive a massive amount of damage, armor and movement speed from each Meepo.
* With Natural Order, Elder Titan’s mere existence causes Meepo to be disadvantaged, due to the aura that completely negates his base armor and magic resistance. Combining
Astral Spirit with Natural Order allows Elder Titan to easily kill any Meepo within a second, depending on how much damage he gains from Astral Spirit.
* Earth Splitter deals over 30%/40%/50% of each Meepo’s max hp, and is even stronger if the Meepos are near Elder Titan due to Natural Order.
Leshrac
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 4%)Meepo
* Pulse Nova deals an insane amount of damage in an area around him, which can quickly wear down Meepo clones.
* Leshrac can catch multiple Meepos in Split Earth and follow up with the rest of his area damage spells making meepo unable to get close to leshrac.
* Diabolic Edict is a strong ability that can wear down a lone Meepo clone quickly.
Jakiro
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 11%)Meepo
* All of Jakiro's skills are Area of Effect, which can easily affect all Meepos in a targeted area.
Ursa
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 13%)Zeus
* Enrage will make it very difficult to burst him down.
* Zeus has little armor, HP and mobility; Ursa's favorite kind of target.
Silencer
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Zeus
* Silencer's Global Silence will render Zeus useless for 6 seconds in a team fight.
* Arcane Curse will punish Zeus for casting spells, which can cause continuous damage to him should he continue to cast spells.
* Last Word can silence Zeus and prevent him from spamming his spells.
* Silencer often builds Orchid Malevolence (or
Bloodthorn) which can be used on spell casters like Zeus, forcing him to invest in a
Linken's Sphere.
Additional:
* Zeus' main source of damage is his low cooldown, high damage spells - meaning Last Word and Global Silence will pretty much take him out of the game for the duration.
* Zeus likes to spam his abilities, which makes him vulnerable to Arcane Curse.
* If Zeus dies near Silencer, he will lose intelligence, reducing his mana pool, mana regen and attack damage. Furthermore, if the game is long and Zeus dies often, the intelligence losses will also reduce his spell damage.
Lion
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 16%)Meepo
* Finger of Death's burst damage can kill him due to his low health pool, and
Ethereal Blade only makes it worse. If Lion purchased an
Aghanim's Scepter, the situation only grows worse.
* If Meepo ganks Lion with Poof and Earthbind, he will be an easy target for Earth Spike & AoE
Hex from his level 25 talent.
Vengeful Spirit
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 7%)Meepo
* With Nether Swap, Vengeful Spirit can isolate one of the Meepos, making him an easier kill for the team.
* Her Magic Missile gives her an easy way to cancel Meepo's Poof, preventing isolated Meepos from fleeing.
Io
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 4%)Meepo
* Tether helps Io escape from Earthbind even if Meepo has Blink Dagger.
* Io's Spirits can pressure Meepo while laning and will usually hit at least one of his clones.
Lina
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 13%)Meepo
* Light Strike Array catches Meepo and his clones if he tried to gank Lina with Earthbind &
Poof.
* Laguna Blade can quickly kill Meepo and his clones before they escape with Poof.
Lifestealer
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 5%)Zeus
* Rage is very useful against Zeus, as it negates magic damage and provides spell immunity. In addition, the increased attack speed can tear Zeus apart in combination with
Open Wounds.
* Lifestealer can avoid Thundergod's Wrath with Infest.
Meepo
* Lifestealer is not affected by Earthbind or Poof during
Rage, making him a difficult target to work around.
Meepo
* Lifestealer's Rage and Open wounds become useless when Meepo has 4 or more clones, as Ransack will heal Meepo too quickly for Lifestealer to take down.
Medusa
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 2%)Meepo
* Poof won't damage Medusa and he can Gaze an entire flock of Meepos.
* Mystic Snake will easily become the bane of Meepo early game.
Bristleback
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 8%)Meepo
* Quill Spray usually hits Meepo's clones, although Bristleback cannot turn his back when rooted with Earthbind.
Tiny
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 7%)Meepo
* Avalanche and Toss prevents Meepo's Poof escape or using town portal scroll.
* He doesn't need to aim the weakest clone while he is grabbing tree.
Faceless Void
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 43% pickrate: 7%)Zeus
* Time Dilation can limit Zeus to casting his abilities only once in a fight, effectively serving as a 6/8/10/12 second silence.
* Time Walk negates Zeus's burst damage.
* Chronosphere makes Zeus the best target for Void because of his low mobility.
Sven
[wiki] rating: 1.0 (winrate: 42% pickrate: 1%)Meepo
* Great Cleave will devastate Meepo's clones. Against a closely packed group, Sven does not even need to target the clone with the lowest health.
Additional:
* Great Cleave and
God's Strength can take down Meepo and his clones very quickly.
* The lack of spell immunity for Meepo's clones makes them vulnerable to Storm Hammer.
Lycan
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 57% pickrate: 6%)Zeus
* Zeus can deal a huge amount of damage, but he lacks defensive abilities, such as good mobility or resistance. Due to that, he doesn't like to be touched by any means. Heroes with higher damage output and good mobility will often get easily near Zeus and trade damage (eventually causing Zeus's downfall). Such Heroes include: Lycan,
Slark,
Storm Spirit,
Spectre and others.
Beastmaster
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 4%)Meepo
* Because only one clone needs to be killed in order to kill Meepo, heroes that excel at singling out enemies can also be a detriment to him, such as Batrider,
Beastmaster,
Pudge and
Clockwerk.
Underlord
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 54% pickrate: 8%)Meepo
* In general, melee heroes without blink mechanisms or spell immunity will have a hard time positioning against Pit of Malice: Sven,
Tiny,
Wraith King,
Dragon Knight,
Meepo,
Doom,
Bounty Hunter,
Dark Seer,
Undying,
Alchemist,
Legion Commander.
Tidehunter
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 8%)Meepo
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once: Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
Death Prophet
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 2%)Zeus
* As a spellcaster, silences will nullify him entirely. Some notable examples are Death Prophet,
Drow Ranger,
Bloodseeker,
Disruptor and many others.
* Doom, as usual, fits this description nicely.
Additional:
* His low mobility tends to make him an easy target for Spirit Siphon and the ghosts from Exorcism.
* His magical nukes can also be healed with Spirit Siphon.
* Silence is great against any spellcaster, and Zeus is no exception to this.
Invoker
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 17%)Meepo
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
Tusk
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 7%)Zeus
* Heroes with long range abilities are also able to touch Zeus, such as Clockwerk,
Kunkka,
Puck,
Skywrath Mage,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk and others.
Drow Ranger
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 8%)Zeus
* As a spellcaster, silences will nullify him entirely. Some notable examples are Death Prophet,
Drow Ranger,
Bloodseeker,
Disruptor and many others.
* Doom, as usual, fits this description nicely.
Disruptor
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Zeus
* As a spellcaster, silences will nullify him entirely. Some notable examples are Death Prophet,
Drow Ranger,
Bloodseeker,
Disruptor and many others.
* Doom, as usual, fits this description nicely.
Axe
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 10%)Meepo
* Melee heroes who rely on summons, illusions or clones will trigger Counter Helix more often, thus taking more damage: Meepo,
Lycan,
Chaos Knight,
Phantom Lancer
Additional:
* The combination of Counter Helix and
Berserker's Call can disable multiple Meepos and deal heavy area damage.
* Axe's natural high survivability makes it difficult to burst him down with Poof or chip away at his health with Ransack.
Doom
[wiki] rating: 0.6 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 3%)Meepo
* Besides Lone Druid and
Meepo, Doom is potentially good versus every hero since Doom will render any hero helpless for a prolonged 15 seconds. This is particularly true for fragile heroes that heavily rely on mobility to stay alive.
Monkey King
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 18%)Meepo
* Monkey King can gain Jingu Mastery stacks on Meepo’s clones from
Divided We Stand.
* Tree Dance allows him to sneak up on and gank a lone Meepo clone.
Additional:
* Tree Dance and
Primal Spring allows him to chase a retreating Meepo.
* Boundless Strike gains critical strike bonuses and
Wukong's Command can take down Meepo and his clones very quickly.
Zeus
* Zeus is good against heroes that juke in trees or up cliffs, like Batrider,
Monkey King,
Spectre, and
Tinker, by providing vision in any area with Lightning Bolt, or guaranteeing vision on enemies with Thundergod's Wrath.
Juggernaut
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 19%)Zeus
* None of Zeus's abilities can damage a Juggernaut in Blade Fury.
* Zeus's short attack range makes it difficult for him to target a well-placed healing ward. His frequent use of Arc Lightning will have almost no effect on allies being healed by Juggernaut.
* Zeus has no way to defend himself, even if Juggernaut cannot use Blade Fury. He can be easily taken out if cornered, sometimes even without Omnislash.
Additional:
* Blade Fury negates all magical damage from Zeus.
* Omnislash can easily take down Zeus. However, be aware that most players will get a
Eul's Scepter of Divinity or a
Ghost Scepter against Juggernaut.
Meepo
* Juggernaut's Omnislash is meaningless for Meepo who can share the damage across clones to save other allies.
Chaos Knight
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 4%)Zeus
* Chaos Knight's high health pool makes him resistant to Zeus' burst damage. Phantasm can dispel
Veil of Discord, a typical item purchased by Zeus.
* Zeus is easily overwhelmed by Chaos Knight's strong illusions, as Arc Lightning is not enough to kill them fast enough to have any impact.
* Zeus' low base armor makes him extremely vulnerable to Chaos Knight's high damage output and armor reduction.
Meepo
* Illusion-based and multi-unit heroes can take advantage of Chaos Knight's lack of area damage: Naga Siren,
Phantom Lancer,
Meepo,
Broodmother
Pugna
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 4%)Zeus
* Even though Pugna's low HP means that he can be quickly burst down, his Nether Ward heavily punishes casters whose spells cost a lot of mana, like Zeus. Casting 4 of his active spells, including Nimbus, close to an enhanced level 4
Nether Ward, can make the ward deal up to 1750 magical damage.
* Decrepify can further increase the damage dealt by Nether Ward upon Zeus. However, if used on Pugna himself or on one of his allies, it will amplify the damage done by Zeus' abilities.
Meepo
* Pugna's Nether Ward doesn't really hurt Meepo since he usually buys attribute items to tank up and can be killed very quickly by 4 clones. Decrepify can amplify Poof's damage should Pugna use it to avoid Meepo's right clicking.
Pangolier
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 8%)Meepo
* Shield Crash gains its damage reduction bonus from all Meepo clones, and can be used even when rooted, allowing Pangolier to gain a massive amount of damage reduction (even more than 100%).
* With too many clone running around during combat, it is almost impossible for Meepo to avoid Rolling Thunder or Swashbuckle.
* Still, remember that a lone Pangolier can never escape from a ganking Meepo.
Additional:
* Pangolier's arsenal deals heavy damage in a wide area, make him deadly even for a Meepo with a high magic resistance.
* Shield Crash can easily give him a ridiculous 90% damage resistance, resulting in a near unkillable Pangolier in a short amount of time.
* Rolling Thunder disrupts Meepo's initiation or escaping.
* Swashbuckle can hit all of Meepo clones.
* Lucky Shot can disarm Meepo's clones.
Meepo
* Heroes with powerful rooting abilities will disable most of Pangolier's skill, a bonus point if it pierce spell immunity since it will also be able to stop Pangolier during his Rolling Thunder: Treant Protector,
Meepo,
Crystal Maiden,
Dark Willow,
Underlord,
Naga Siren
Gyrocopter
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 3%)Meepo
* Flak Cannon and Call Down will shred Meepo's clones.
* Homing Missile can catch and single out retreating Meepos, making them an easy kill.
Zeus
* Heroes with high magical burst damage will kill Gyrocopter before he gets to do much: Lina,
Lion,
Zeus
Ember Spirit
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 9%)Meepo
* Meepo is quite fragile in the early game and can be easily taken down by Flame Guard's and Searing Chains' damage. Later on, Meepo is very vulnerable to Sleight of Fist's damage due to Battle Fury's cleave on multiple Meepos.
Additional:
* Sleight of Fist boosted by
Battle Fury and
Daedalus makes quick work of Meepo if clones are crowded around each other.
* Searing Chains interrupts Meepo's initiating because Meepo's clones do not have spell immunity.
Meepo
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal: Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
Phantom Assassin
[wiki] rating: 0.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 16%)Meepo
* Phantom Strike allows Phantom Assassin to jump on his clones.
* Meepo's low health pool can burst down by Coup de Grace critical strike.
Meepo
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal: Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
Spirit Breaker
[wiki] rating: 0.2 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 8%)Zeus
* Heroes with long range abilities are also able to touch Zeus, such as Clockwerk,
Kunkka,
Puck,
Skywrath Mage,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk and others.
Meepo
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once: Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
Meepo
* Earthbind's root prevents/interrupts Charge of Darkness.
* As a single target focused hero without much damage output, Spirit Breaker is ineffective in general against Meepo. Consider upgrading Nether Strike with Aghanim's Scepter to spam AoE stuns against Meepo clones.
Additional:
* Spirit Breaker heavily relies on disabling one enemy at a time therefore rendering him useless against five Meepos at once.
Necrophos
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 4%)Zeus
* Necrophos' Ghost Shroud increases the magic damage taken by Necrophos.
* If Zeus builds both an Ethereal Blade and
Veil of Discord, it almost always guarantees a kill.
Meepo
* Necrophos struggles at clearing away durable illusions or summons. Meepo can overwhelm Necrophos with his many duplicates, especially in the later stages of the game, and his Earthbind will prevent Necrophos from getting away, even if he casts Ghost Shroud.
* Meepo's high burst damage from {Ability ID:Poof|Meepo} and {Item ID:Ethereal Blade} can make it difficult for to Necrophos to stay alive, and as Necrophos excels in extended fights, he will not be able to do as much damage as he intends to.
Luna
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 4%)Meepo
* Meepo can tank Eclipse because of his clones.
* Earthbind takes away Luna's mobility advantage.
* Meepo can shutdown Luna's split-push ability with his global presence.
Zeus
* His highly damaging nuke spells with low cooldowns is not something Luna wants to go against.
* Thundergod's Wrath can be used before a fight to harm Luna before she activates her Black King Bar, reducing her survivability for that fight.
Riki
[wiki] rating: -2.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 12%)Meepo
* Root is a deadly threat to Riki, disabling both Blink Strike and Tricks of the Trade while making him fully revealed, making Earthbind a good ability against him.
* Smoke Screen may not be able to silence all the Meepo clones.
* Riki has no true area damage, as Tricks of the Trade's damage is distributed between all Meepo clones, so he cannot effectively fight Meepo or deal with his strong ability to push.
Zeus
* Zeus' Lightning Bolt and
Thundergod's Wrath provides a short duration of True Sight, revealing Riki while possibly dealing a heavy amount of damage.
Legion Commander
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 13%)Zeus
* Heroes with global abilities can give Legion Commander's opponent an edge in Duels from anywhere on the map: Nature's Prophet,
Ancient Apparition,
Zeus,
Invoker,
Treant Protector
Meepo
* When Legion Commander uses Duel on one Meepo, he can use his other Meepos to kill her. If he wasn't dueled, he can help the teammate who was duelled to give the teammate the damage instead of Legion Commander.
* However, if Legion Commander picked up an Aghanim's Scepter and she duels one Meepo, that might be the end of Meepo if Legion managed to gather enough damage from previous duels.
Phantom Lancer
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 7%)Zeus
* Heroes with global nukes will target and hit Phantom Lancer regardless of his illusions: Zeus
Meepo
* Poof from multiple Meepos will destroy illusions quickly.
* Earthbind's area root can catch Phantom Lancer in a group of illusions and prevent him from using Doppelganger for a long time.
Additional:
* Poof will destroy Phantom Lancer's illusions within a short time.
* Earthbind prevents Phantom Lancer from using Doppelganger.
Tinker
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 8%)Meepo
* Tinker who can't fight multiple heroes will suffer greatly against Ransack and Earthbind.
Zeus
* Due to Tinker's low health pool, Zeus can easily burst Tinker down, while also cancelling Rearm.
* Once Zeus gets Aghanim's Scepter, he will gain
Nimbus, which allows him to scout out Tinker on the map, especially when he is pushing lanes while hiding in the trees.
Additional:
* Zeus can easily reveal Tinker's location in the trees with Thundergod's wrath.
* When Zeus has an Aghanim's Scepter, he can use his
Nimbus, together with
Lightning Bolt to interrupt Tinker's
Boots of Travel channelling and cancel Tinker's
Blink Dagger.
Mirana
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 16%)Meepo
* Earthbind prevents Mirana from Leaping or going invisible with Moonlight Shadow. She can be easily killed by
Poof and
Ransack while disabled.
* Landing a Sacred Arrow on Meepo does not render him helpless, as all of the other Meepos can still fight back.
Zeus
* Heroes with spells that negate invisibility such as Bounty Hunter,
Zeus and
Slardar prevent her from saving her allies with Moonlight Shadow.
Naga Siren
[wiki] rating: -1.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 2%)Meepo
* Meepo can just mess up Naga Siren entirely: His
Earthbind is AoE, which can bind her illusions, his
Poof is a powerful AoE nuke and will clear her illusions. He is also 2/3/4
Meepos, not one, so her Ensnare will not work efficiently against him.
Zeus
* Zeus' abilities deal high amounts of burst magical damage, which ignores Naga Siren's high armor.
* Zeus' Arc Lightning is also a good way to destroy Naga Siren's illusions.
Enchantress
[wiki] rating: -1.4 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 1%)Meepo
* Enchantress's
Untouchable slows down Meepos attacks and
Impetus can deal heavy pure damage to a single meepo, however once Meepo has closed the gap she is an easy target for Poof.
Zeus
* Enchantress has a very low health pool, allowing Zeus to burst her down quickly before she can heal off the damage.
* Zeus will not be affected by Untouchable, as he won't try to attack her with right clicks anyway.
* Zeus can stay out of her attack range while trying to kill her, especially if he has bought an Aether Lens.
* Most heroes would want to get on top of Zeus to kill him, but Enchantress does not have this option as doing so would severely limit her Impetus damage.
* The exception is the laning phase, where Enchantress can gank Zeus if she Enchants a good creep.
Meepo
* Meepo can quickly kill Enchantress with a
Poof combo, rendering Untouchable useless.
Slardar
[wiki] rating: -1.4 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 8%)Meepo
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once: Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
Zeus
* Slardar has high priority on building moblity items such as Blink Dagger rather than tank items. Zeus can easily deal large amount of damage to him if not get caught out of position at first.
Meepo
* Slardar does not do well against multiple targets, as his only way to damage multiple targets is Slithereen Crush.
* Meepo's Earthbind will root Slardar, making him unable to chase/escape for the time being. Also,
Poof's low cooldown and high damage can burst Slardar down rather quickly.
Weaver
[wiki] rating: -1.2 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 7%)Meepo
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal: Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
Zeus
* Heroes that avoid damage by coming in and out of invisibility in teamfights such as Weaver,
Templar Assassin, and
Riki will be easy for Zeus to reveal with Lightning Bolt and Thundergod's Wrath, but these heroes usually have other ways to avoid his damage or kill him, so he is not a perfect counter alone.
Additional:
* Arc Lightning has a low cooldown can used to pop his
Linken's Sphere.
* Lightning Bolt or (
Nimbus upgraded from
Aghanim's Scepter) detects Weaver during Shukuchi, preventing his ganks.
* Thundergod's Wrath can kill Weaver quickly before he can cast his Time Lapse at low health.
Nature's Prophet
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Meepo can net Nature's Prophet's treants with Earthbind and then he
Poofs them. Putting an end to his pushing.
* Skilled Meepo can rival and even exceed Nature's Prophet's global presence by combining
Poof with
Boots of Travel, meaning that he can not only stop his push, but also can kill him if he is not careful.
Spectre
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 6%)Zeus
* Zeus can deal a huge amount of damage, but he lacks defensive abilities, such as good mobility or resistance. Due to that, he doesn't like to be touched by any means. Heroes with higher damage output and good mobility will often get easily near Zeus and trade damage (eventually causing Zeus's downfall). Such Heroes include: Lycan,
Slark,
Storm Spirit,
Spectre and others.
Zeus
* Zeus is good against heroes that juke in trees or up cliffs, like Batrider,
Monkey King,
Spectre, and
Tinker, by providing vision in any area with Lightning Bolt, or guaranteeing vision on enemies with Thundergod's Wrath.
Meepo
* Poof combined with
Earthbind can be used to easily lockdown and burst Spectre down.
* As Meepo's playstyle is often to come online early to mid game and take over the whole game, Meepo will often be much further ahead of Spectre in farming.
* Meepo's global map presence allows him to effectively hunt for Spectre and disrupt her farm.
* Spectre has no strong AOE abilities or way to control or lock down Meepo.
Morphling
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 12%)Meepo
* Earthbind disables Waveform, effectively keeping Morphling in place for an extended period of time, allowing Meepo to deal considerable damage with
Poof.
Shadow Demon
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 3%)Meepo
* Poof will destroy Shadow Demon's illusions created by Disruption and quickly escapes from
Shadow Poison &
Demonic Purge.
Queen of Pain
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 9%)Meepo
* Meepo is the hard counter for Queen of Pain - chain of Earthbinds prevents her from using Blink for a long time, and without any other escape options, Queen of Pain cannot survive several
Poofs and attacks.
* Meepo tends to build items with attributes, mitigating Queen of Pain's magical burst.
Additional:
* Chain of Earthbinds prevents her from using Blink, allowing Meepo to quickly kill her with Poof and attacks.
* Meepo tends to buy items with attributes, mitigating Queen of Pain's magical burst.
Hoodwink
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 19%)Zeus
* due to Hoodwink got a pretty low hp the nuked combo of Zeus abilities of Thundergod's Wrath and
Nimbus can easily killed her most of the time
* Lightning Bolt can reveal or grant sight of where Hoodwink hiding or invisible in the trees
Phoenix
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 10%)Meepo
* Meepo is unlike any other multi-unit enemy Phoenix may face in the battlefield. Unlike illusion-based heroes like Phantom Lancer or
Chaos Knight, Meepo's clones are not illusions, meaning they can deal full damage to the Phoenix Sun if all four (or five) are present.
Additional:
* Earthbind can prevent Phoenix from using Icarus Dive, the only escaping mechanism of this hero.
* Heavy burst damage from Poof can easily kill Phoenix even when it slows down all the Meepos with Fire Spirits.
* Meepo's clones destroy the Phoenix Sun from Supernova in no time, even when they are slowed down by
Fire Spirits.
* Meepo's naturally high magic resistance gives Phoenix a hard time with bursting him down. He can even turn the tide if Icarus Dive is on cooldown.
Clinkz
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 5%)Zeus
* Zeus can reveal Clinkz with Lightning Bolt.
* He is vulnerable to Zeus' magical nukes, due to his low health pool.
Ogre Magi
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 16%)Meepo
* Ogre Magi has single-targeted magical-only damage and disables and is less effective against Meepo's clones.
Bounty Hunter
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 9%)Zeus
* Bounty Hunter has a very low health pool, allowing Zeus to burst him down quickly.
* Zeus can cast Lightning Bolt to gain True Sight in any area he suspects Bounty Hunter may be invisible or any area he thinks Bounty Hunter may have warded.
* If Bounty Hunter tries to escape a gank by using Shadow Walk, Zeus can gain vision of him with both Lightning Bolt and Thundergod's Wrath.
Additional:
* Lightning Bolt makes roaming behind enemy lines more and more difficult as Zeus becomes powerful enough to spam it. Also, Zeus' Ultimate
Thundergod's Wrath reveals Bounty Hunter regardless of his position.
Broodmother
[wiki] rating: -1.0 (winrate: 55% pickrate: 2%)Meepo
* Earthbind prevents Broodmother from escaping Meepo's attacks.
* Poof will quickly clear any nearby spiders.
* Broodmother wants to pick off single target heroes. With Meepo's Divided We Stand, it gets a lot harder once every Meepo Poofs in.
Keeper of the Light
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 44% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Heroes that can jump and kill him: Meepo,
Clinkz,
Templar Assassin
Terrorblade
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 5%)Zeus
* Heroes with mediocre health pools who rely on armor or evasion to survive fights such as Troll Warlord,
Windranger, and
Terrorblade can be killed by Zeus if caught off guard.
Additional:
* Arc Lightning and
Lightning Bolt can easily burst Terrorblade and his illusions.
* Static Field automatically hits everything in a big radius, taking a huge chunk of health out of Terrorblade's illusions, regardless of how much health they have.
Grimstroke
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 10%)Zeus
* Heroes with powerful spammable abilities will prove problematic for Grimstroke as Ink Swell does not protect him from them: Zeus,
Skywrath Mage,
Tinker,
Lina
Slark
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 13%)Zeus
* Zeus can deal a huge amount of damage, but he lacks defensive abilities, such as good mobility or resistance. Due to that, he doesn't like to be touched by any means. Heroes with higher damage output and good mobility will often get easily near Zeus and trade damage (eventually causing Zeus's downfall). Such Heroes include: Lycan,
Slark,
Storm Spirit,
Spectre and others.
Zeus
* Heroes with heavy magical nukes will take advantage of Slarks poor HP or force him to use Shadow Dance early: Lina,
Lion,
Zeus
Meepo
* Slark's Dark Pact and Pounce can deny only one Earthbind and Poof can penetrate Shadow Dance if he doesn't build Black King Bar.
Additional:
* Earthbind and
Poof will still hit Slark in Shadow Dance.
* Dark Pact can only remove one Earthbind.
* Ransack will still affect Slark, even if he has a
Black King Bar.
Dazzle
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 6%)Zeus
* Some heroes with extreme range, like Zeus,
Invoker or
Clockwerk, can snipe your allies from anywhere after your Grave has expired.
Undying
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 7%)Meepo
* Meepo can quickly destroy Tombstone thanks to
Divided We Stand.
Earth Spirit
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 9%)Meepo
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal: Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
Windranger
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 16%)Zeus
* Since Windranger is bad against magical damage, heroes with continuous magical damage or magical nukes can blast her: Zeus,
Tinker,
Leshrac,
Viper,
Skywrath Mage,
Lion,
Lina,
Venomancer.
Arc Warden
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Arc Warden's Flux is meaningless against Meepo who loves to group up. Meepo is also a very good gap closer, so Arc Warden's Magnetic Field becomes useless.
Additional:
* Flux is severely impaired against Meepo because of Divided We Stand.
* Meepo's farming speed and early powerspikes allows him to pressure Arc Warden before he is capable of fighting effectively.
* Without Black King Bar,
Earthbind and
Poof can finish Arc Warden quickly before he has time to do much.
Wraith King
[wiki] rating: -0.6 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 20%)Meepo
* Meepo has a better advantage in farm with
Divided We Stand, as well as having a higher attack speed due to his tendency to build items that give attributes. In addition, Wraithfire Blast stuns only one target, and choosing to engage one Meepo will most certainly mean engaging them all.
Magnus
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 45% pickrate: 6%)Meepo
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
Additional:
* Meepo is vulnerable to area damage and disables from Magnus himself as well as his team through Empower.
Zeus
* Zeus can easily find Magnus who is often hiding in the trees with Thundergod's Wrath and
Lightning Bolt, which allows him to warn allies and disrupt his initiation attempts.
Void Spirit
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 10%)Meepo
* Void Spirit can dodge Earthbind with
Dissimilate and
Astral Step, giving him a good chance to escape. If he gets caught anyways,
Resonant Pulse allows him to retaliate.
Meepo
* Meepo's Earthbind can easily lockdown Void Spirit.
* Meepo and his clones can easily burst Void Spirit's Resonant Pulse.
Storm Spirit
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 10%)Zeus
* Zeus can deal a huge amount of damage, but he lacks defensive abilities, such as good mobility or resistance. Due to that, he doesn't like to be touched by any means. Heroes with higher damage output and good mobility will often get easily near Zeus and trade damage (eventually causing Zeus's downfall). Such Heroes include: Lycan,
Slark,
Storm Spirit,
Spectre and others.
Meepo
* Earthbind, like any root, inhibits usage of Ball Lightning, eliminating Storm Spirit's mobility.
Enigma
[wiki] rating: -0.4 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 4%)Meepo
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
Zeus
* Zeus can break Blink Dagger with his long range abilities and global range ultimate,
Thundergod's Wrath.
* Lightning Bolt has a long range and a mini-stun, providing a way for him to cancel Black Hole from safe distances, assuming Enigma doesn't have his
Black King Bar.
* Zeus' Aghanim's Scepter upgraded ability
Nimbus has a global range and mini-stun, making it an even more effective way to cancel Black Hole before Enigma initiates with
Black King Bar.
* Zeus is typically able to position himself at a safe distance from the fight, making him a difficult target to capture in a Black Hole.
Templar Assassin
[wiki] rating: -0.2 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 5%)Zeus
* Refraction blocks all of Zeus' damage and Zeus has no innate way of removing the instances quickly.
* Meld helps burst down Zeus' small health pool while he's still working through the Refraction instances.
* Psi Blades allow her to harass and zone Zeus in lane.
* Templar Assassin usually buys Blink Dagger, enabling her to quickly close the gap to Zeus' defensive positioning.
Additional:
* Although Lightning Bolt and
Thundergod's Wrath can reveal Templar Assassin during Meld, Zeus nonetheless has no way to deal with Refraction.
* Zeus is a rather squishy hero, falling easily to Templar Assassin's high burst damage.
Meepo
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones: Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes that can quickly deal damage to her, regardless of how weak they are, can easily break through her Refraction:
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones: Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Multiple attackers thanks to illusions: Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Naga Siren (bonus for her
Ensnare). Also despite the visual effects, Templar Assassin does not spill damage against illusions or buildings, so she is not a really good hero to clean up illusions.
* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time: Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Pugna
Snapfire
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 9%)Zeus
* Heroes with summons that are destroyed by a fixed number of attacks: Undying's
Tombstone,
Gyrocopter's
Homing Missile, and
Zeus's
Nimbus.
Meepo
* Heroes with high movement speeds like Pugna and
Meepo can run around, to, or away from Snapfire during
Mortimer Kisses and dodge the projectiles easily due to their slow speed.
* Heroes with mobility spells (such as Queen of Pain's
Blink and
Clockwerk with
Hookshot) can easily avoid
Lil' Shredder and
Mortimer Kisses.
* Heroes with high movement speeds like Pugna and
Meepo can run around, to, or away from Snapfire during
Mortimer Kisses and dodge the projectiles easily due to their slow speed.
Shadow Fiend
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 46% pickrate: 18%)Meepo
* Shadow Fiend can easily focus down and kill one of the Meepos.
* The amount of damage from Shadow Fiend's AoE spells makes Meepo vulnerable in every aspect.
Zeus
* Arc Lightning allows Zeus to get farm in lane against Shadow Fiend without coming into the range of his Shadowrazes.
* Lightning Bolt can be used to heavily harass Shadow Fiend when he tries to get a last hit.
* Thundergod's Wrath and
Lightning Bolt can be used to detect Shadow Fiend if he tries to escape with
Shadow Blade.
Mars
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 47% pickrate: 16%)Meepo
* Bulwark blocks the attack from Meepo and his clones.
* Spear of Mars &
God's Rebuke prevents Meepo and his clones from initiation or escaping.
Zeus
* Mars' own father is a formidable foe because Zeus deals mostly magical damage. The high damage, low cooldown nukes of Arc Lightning and
Lightning Bolt combined with the percent health magic damage of
Static Field will shred Mars' health because it bypasses Bulwark completely.
Batrider
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Batrider's Flaming Lasso can become annoying when Batrider has a team nearby to kill the disabled Meepo. His Firefly is also good AoE damage, which when stacked with sticky napalm (which is AoE too and can hit all Meepos), he becomes a very formidable target.
Additional:
* Flaming Lasso is the perfect tool to isolate a single Meepo and focus him.
Zeus
* Zeus is good against heroes that juke in trees or up cliffs, like Batrider,
Monkey King,
Spectre, and
Tinker, by providing vision in any area with Lightning Bolt, or guaranteeing vision on enemies with Thundergod's Wrath.
Techies
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 7%)Meepo
* Due to the nature of Divided We Stand and the playstyle of splitting up multiple Meepos across the map, Techies can limit Meepo's movement with mines forcing the Meepo player to either keep all Meepos together or be extra careful when moving each individual Meepo because clones cannot carry any True Sight-providing item.
* However, if a mine blast isn't enough to kill a Meepo, he can Poof to safety of another Meepo.
Additional:
* Stasis Trap can lock multiple Meepos in place and prevent them from Poofing.
* Proximity Mines,
Remote Mines and
Blast Off! can deal heavy magic damage to multiple Meepos.
Zeus
* Due to the fact that Lightning Bolt gives True Sight, Zeus is able to reveal where Techies' remote mines are. He can also cancel Blast Off! due to the mini-stun on the Lightning Bolt.
Anti-Mage
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 14%)Zeus
* Zeus almost exclusively relies on magical damage, which is heavily reduced by Counterspell.
* Zeus' complete lack of mobility makes him very easy for Anti-Mage to chase down with Blink.
* Zeus likes to stand in the back during team fights, but Anti-Mage can easily Blink to close the distance.
Additional:
* Anti-Mage can burn mana, which is a big problem for a spellcaster like Zeus that heavily relies on it.
* Counterspell decreases magical damage taken from Zeus.
* Zeus' high intelligence and mana pool makes him a perfect target for Mana Void.
Meepo
* Multiple Earthbinds allows Meepo to lock down Anti-Mage almost indefinitely.
* Meepo's clones can only use their mana for Poof, keeping their mana pool nearly full and thus making them a bad target for a Mana Void.
Additional:
* Earthbind can prevent Anti-Mage from using Blink, allowing Meepo to kill him with attacks and Ransack.
Earthshaker
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 48% pickrate: 10%)Meepo
* Echo Slam's damage potential increases due to Meepo's clones.
* Eathshaker's AoE stuns can interrupt Meepo's Poof cast animation.
Additional:
* Echo Slam deals catastrophic damage against a cluster of Meepos and anyone nearby.
* He can potentially stunlock any number of Meepos for a fairly long duration, often enough to finish one off.
Zeus
* Thundergod's Wrath will often disable Earthshaker's
Blink Dagger before a fight starts.
Lich
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 49% pickrate: 12%)Meepo
* Poof combo puts all of the Meepos very close together, making them vulnerable to Frost Blast's AoE slow and multiple bounces from Chain Frost.
Zeus
* Lich does not pose a big threat to Zeus in teamfights, as his spells don't have great cast range and Zeus should be too far back for a Chain Frost to bounce among him and his allies.
* Lich has a low health pool, allowing Zeus to burst him down quickly.
Skywrath Mage
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 6%)Zeus
* Heroes with long range abilities are also able to touch Zeus, such as Clockwerk,
Kunkka,
Puck,
Skywrath Mage,
Spirit Breaker,
Tusk and others.
Meepo
* Skywrath Mage's abilities are single targeted and he can't use Mystic Flare to its fullest potential, since all Meepos spread the damage between them. He also has no disables to prevent Meepo from Poofing to another one (unless he can get
Ancient Seal off first).
Troll Warlord
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 10%)Meepo
* Troll Warlord can root and deal a lot of damage to a single Meepo while lifestealing through the assault from the other Meepos. Meepo needs expensive items like
Ethereal Blade or
Heaven's Halberd to be able to fight him.
Zeus
* Heroes with mediocre health pools who rely on armor or evasion to survive fights such as Troll Warlord,
Windranger, and
Terrorblade can be killed by Zeus if caught off guard.
Timbersaw
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 50% pickrate: 7%)Meepo
* Because multiple Meepos tend to clump up, they present an easy target for Timbersaw's many area abilities.
Zeus
* Reactive Armor will not trigger from Zeus's spells or protect Timbersaw from their damage.
* Early game Timbersaw's strength is average and Zeus can heavily aid in bursting him down.
* Late game, if Timbersaw has built a lot of HP items, Zeus's passive Static Field will be more effective at chipping away Timbersaw's large HP pool.
* A Timbersaw who builds Pipe of Insight will be much more difficult to kill, as Zeus has no way to hold Timbersaw down, but Timbersaw will have less armor, mana, and damage than normal if he buys this item early game just to counter Zeus.
Additional:
* Zeus deals enormous amounts of magic damage, being one of the best heroes to burst down Timbersaw early in the game.
* Lightning Bolt's mini-stun can stop Timbersaw's from escaping a fight with Timber Chain.
* Timbersaws tend to build health increasing items, making Zeus' Static Field deal huge amounts of damage.
Winter Wyvern
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 5%)Meepo
* Winter's Curse in late game is pretty much the end for Meepo or any of his nearby allies. Natural counter for Winter's Curse like
Linken's Sphere or
Lotus Orb is meaningless to her if she can land it on one of your clones.
Additional:
* Meepo's clones usually gets grouped in teamfight making any of them ideal target for Winter's Curse, forcing Meepo to literally kill himself. Also unlike another hero he cannot protect himself with Linken's Sphere.
Zeus
* Any ally that Winter Wyvern tries to save with Cold Embrace can still be damaged by all of Zeus's spells.
* If Winter Wyvern tries to juke vision by flying up a cliff or in the trees, Zeus can gain vision there with Lightning Bolt or Thundergod's Wrath.
* If Zeus is forced to attack an ally by Winter's Curse, his unimpressive attack damage and attack speed means they won't be hurt much by him. Zeus will also stay near the back of fights away from his allies, making a deadly Curse less likely.
Visage
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 51% pickrate: 2%)Zeus
* Visage can quickly kill heroes with low to medium base armor and no innate escape mechanism. Examples include Alchemist,
Crystal Maiden and
Zeus.
Meepo
* Heroes that can overwhelm Visage by sheer number like Chaos Knight,
Meepo,
Terrorblade and
Phantom Lancer.
Sand King
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 52% pickrate: 10%)Meepo
* Burrowstrike can stun multiple Meepos, making them vulnerable targets.
* Epicenter and Sand Storm's AoE damage ensures all Meepo clones get damaged, making it hard for Meepo to choose which one to flee as all are taking damage at the same rate.
* Just be aware when using Sand Storm to escape, as Meepo has good AoE damage and disables, which, as explained in the "Bad Against" section, works well against an invisible Sand King.
Zeus
* Zeus usually stays at the back in teamfights and it is hard for Sand King to find Zeus and knock him down before Zeus deals his damage.
* All of Zeus' abilities, especially Thundergod's Wrath, disables Sand King's
Blink Dagger, effectively reducing Sand King's initiation and counter-initiation potential.
* Lightning Bolt deals damage to Sand King in Sand Storm and reveals him. It also interrupts channeling of Epicenter.
Night Stalker
[wiki] rating: 0.0 (winrate: 53% pickrate: 5%)Zeus
* Heroes with low mobility that rely on spells: Zeus,
Lina,
Crystal Maiden.
Meepo
* Night Stalker's most skills are single targeted which allows other Meepos to Poof, Earthbind and kill him.
To start select enemy heroes in the field above. It's intended to be used with multiple heroes. The more enemy heroes you provide the better results you will get.
About
This website was made to help you in pick stage of online game Dota 2. It calculates rating for each possible counterpicks based on tips from web-based database made up entirely of user contributions Dota 2 wiki.
You will get the list of recommended hero counters with a list of tips written by Dota 2 wiki contributors explaining why it's good against the particular hero. In comparison to other similar websites, which show only rating based on average hero winrate from dotabuff or similar service.
How to interpret this data
Take it with a bit of grain of salt, especially if the recommendation has a low rating (<= 1), some heroes
may win a lane in an early game but would lose in late game (and vice versa). That's why sometimes
you could hero names appearing as a counter and as being countered, as on image:
You can also add your own tips, update old data and fix mistakes by editing page on Dota 2 Wiki (it works like Wikipedia - anyone can contribute, you don't even need to register) these edits will appear on this website automatically (data is updated several times per week).
Right now there is no app/overlay that will detect picks automatically (like overwolf dota plus or become the gamer), instead, you can open web version in a steam in-game browser or use mobile version on your smartphone.

Zeus
*
Corrosive Skin counters Zeus in lane by canceling the effects of
Clarity as Zeus relies on Arc Lightning to farm and secure last hits.
Nethertoxin breaks Static Field.
Viper Strike will cripple Zeus and will allow Viper and his teammates to land a lot of attacks.
Blink Dagger or
Force Staff, Zeus is fragile and possesses low mobility. Any of Viper's numerous slows can set up an easy kill.
* Corrosive Skin also increases Viper's magic resistance to shrug off Zeus's magical nukes.
*
* Due to Zeus' poor mobility,
Additional:
* Corrosive Skin severely reduces Zeus's damage output throughout the game.
* During the laning stage, Viper can abuse Zeus' reliance on spells by hugging the creep wave. Zeus will take constant damage over time from Corrosive Skin unless he drives Viper from the lane or returns to farming in his absence.
* Prior to buying
Meepo
*
Nethertoxin prevents the lifesteal from Ransack. The silence from Viper's level 25 talent also prevents Meepo escaping with Poof.
Poison Attack &
Viper Strike directed onto one clone.
* Meepo and his clones have a lack of magic resistance, so they're vulnerable to
